Popular Chengde 4-star Hotels

Nice stay close to the main tourist attractions of Chengde. Gives the ambience like you live in the summer residence. Rooms are renovated and have all necessary amenities. Though the walls are a little thin. We were woken up both morning by loud voices in the corridor (other guests or cleaning staff). Breakfast is Chinese and not served as buffet during off-season. I would consider it rather basic but good quality. Highlights are the deers roaming around the hotel area freely.

A very satisfying trip! Everyone in the store was very warm and thoughtful. They first called and then greeted me at the door! The location of the hotel is great. It is next to the exit of the Mountain Resort and more than 200 meters away from Lizheng Gate. The Jinlong Shopping Center is at the door. It is very convenient to take a taxi and eat. I have to say that eating in Chengde is really cheap. It is a very unique courtyard. I live in the east wing of the second courtyard. It is really beautiful. I am traveling with the elderly, and the elderly are very happy. This is a good choice!

A well-designed and spacious room, well-appointed, modern, great bed - special mention for the toilet, spacious and thoughtfully designed. The overall property is good and well maintained, breakfast spread is pretty good with good variety and quality of food. As chengde is not a big city, it was easy and cheap to get cabs to go everywhere.

The staff automatically upgraded our room. They allowed us for late check up till 4pm the next day which helped us a lot because our high speed train back to Beijing was at 6:40pm. The hotel is located at the back lane of the commercial street 二仙居。we can get taxi easily in front of the hotel. We stayed there during low peak season, we had good service in the hotel. We loved the free supper served at 9:30pm.

The May Day family tour in Chengde, considering the location, room environment, surrounding facilities, price and other factors, finally booked Tianbao Holiday, stayed for three nights, very satisfied. The hotel is located in the city center, with complete surrounding facilities. Shopping malls, supermarkets, civic squares, night markets, restaurants, etc. are basically within a radius of one kilometer and can be reached on foot. It is not far from the Summer Resort, you can walk, ride a shared electric motorcycle, or take a taxi at the starting price. Parking at the hotel is also very convenient, with parking lots on the ground and underground. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the decoration is relatively new. The room we booked has a floor-to-ceiling window with a great view! The children like to take the hotel's sightseeing elevator the most. The staff is enthusiastic and Pingping is beyond professional and warm-hearted. There is free Tremella soup in the evening, and the children drink it every night. There is a shortage of water and laundry detergent, and the response is super fast. Overall, the hotel is still very good, and I will choose Tianbao Holiday next time I come to Chengde!

Pros: - Helpful, responsive and friendly staff. - Delicious restaurant ! Love their food. - There are McD and BK nearby if you want to have fast food during the trip. Cons: - There was a gecko coming out from the tent in our parent child room. It went under the bed and we couldn't find it. The first night, I couldn't sleep because of afraid it would come to us. When we searched the gecko, we saw plastic and bottle under the bed. I guess they don't clean the room properly. Conclusion : Overall this hotel is good for us during our Chengde trip. We're happy.

My experience was overall good, but the bathroom of the room I booked for the first night (single, queen bed) was so stinky at night that I could not bear it. I called the concierge, and the maid came to clean the bathroom (they were very fast= good service) but the problem is in the pipes, not in the cleanliness, (it was very clean) so spraying a bit of air freshener won't solve the problem. I changed rooms the following night. Also, it was quite noisy at night and in the early morning, they should keep an eye on noisy guests. Last thing, but not less important, people were smoking inside the hotel corridors and it was stinky. The management should try to enforce the rules of non-smoking. I understand that know nobody in the hotel wants to call on the smoking clients, but not enforcing the law results in other clients being unhappy too. All in all, I would probably stay there again.

According to the introduction, it was newly renovated in 2023. The room is very new and the window has a wide view. The electric screen curtains and light control are also very easy to use. The toilet and the bathroom are separated into compartments, which is a reasonable layout. There is an adequate supply of bottled drinking water. The welcome service is a smiling service. Chengde Banquet is on the 4th floor of the hotel, which is convenient for eating. The breakfast is OK and full. My parents are very satisfied with this family trip. The price is reasonable and the stay experience is good. In addition, there is a hotel introduction given by the housekeeper Damei, and the travel suggestions are also reasonable, but the itinerary has been arranged and it is not used. It is good for travelers who have not made a strategy to have such a housekeeper service.

Hotel is situated within a neighbourhood area, suitable for those interested to experience the city from a local viewpoint. Grocery/departmental stores and various food choices within a stone's throw. Hotel staff is attentive and does great work ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Will stay here again.

I was very satisfied. I booked a family room with four beds. Two children stayed in one room, and my husband and I stayed in another room. There was a door between the two rooms. The hotel is very close to the Mountain Resort, and the view from the hotel room window is also very good. The facilities in the room are a bit old, but I was very satisfied with the family room I booked during the peak tourist season. When I left, I left a backpack in the room. The hotel took the initiative to call us and put it away. Thank you very much.
