Hotels Near Dayuntang Wanfu Temple in Dali

We recently stayed at a hotel right outside the 南门of the Ancient City, and its location couldn't have been more convenient. Given how jammed Dali can get, walking was the best option, and this hotel’s location made it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot. The staff here is simply the best I’ve ever encountered. I had many parcels delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and they not only managed all of them seamlessly but also offered to send out additional parcels on my behalf. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they attended to our requests promptly and always with a smile. Their dedication to going above and beyond was truly impressive. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for food and activities nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views of 苍山 were amazing. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!

This is our first-time experiencing local home-stay inn in Yunnan. When we first checked into our rooms, little did we expect each of them to be high tech. Indeed, the rooms lived up to its Smart name as they feature an AI device each that could activate the TV, aircon temperatures, curtains and radio with a voice command (”Xiao Ai Tong Xue”). The room size was reasonable comfortable & it comes with separate toilet and bathroom. The toilet bowl seat even came with heater which is fantastic during cold weather. We are also thankful for the complementary tea drinking session every evening. During these sessions, the staff went above and beyond with their friendly sociable chats, and occasionally providing rose biscuits and white fungus soup for supper; making them approachable towards any assistance. The availability of washing machine cum dryer was a plus for us; no need to bring extra clothings for futures traveling. Overall, this sums up our very memorable and extraordinary stay at Dali Molv Shanshe Smart Homestay.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days with my sister. They have pick up service at the railway station for free if you stayed for more than 3 days. The driver they sent was really friendly and kind, he helped us to carry our luggage to the car and give us suggestions how to go around Dali. As we checked in the hotel room, we were so impressed by the cleanliness. I also must mention that they were also very thoughtful of their guests. As their washing area is on the top floor, they provide rooftop for drying clothes. Their amenities were also great which includes body lotion, sewing kit, and ear plugs. They also had free drinks and.in the kitchen for guests. Their breakfast was very nice also.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. At first there were some isuues with the wifi, TV and safety deposit box, but as I mentioned them to the hotel, they immediately took care of them. As the hotel is in Dali Ancient Town and cars are not allowed inside, they offer a service to help you with you luggage to/from the city gate. We only had breakfast at the hotel, which consists mainly of Chinese dishes, cereals, pastries, butter, jam and coffee/tea. The pool is not heated, so during winter is not very convenient to have a bath.

Quiet alley within the Dali Ancient City. The hotel was thoughtful to soundproof their door and windows. Also provided disposable ear plugs in the room. The decoration of the hotel is very cosy and the room was simple and comfortable. Breakfast consist of a set of local cuisine that is healthy and nutritious. If you are looking to stay within the Dali Ancient City, you may consider yuntang.

Lovely hotel located in a quiet alley. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I reached early and they were helpful in arranging for a room for me to check into. I did notice ants crawling on the headboard, and the toilet was not flushed. My room was on the 1st floor and both mornings I was awakened by loud voices from other guests. This is also about 1km walk to the center of the old town - manageable for me since there’s plenty to look at. Overall a good stay for the price paid.

The host and the staff are very very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to everyone for your stay in Lijiang, and we will definitely return to this hotel! The view from the rooftop is spectacular, with delicious afternoon tea and “suyoucha” testing session hosted at the rooftop. The homestay locate at a quiet and peaceful street, 15mins walking distance away from Lijiang Old Town, with a lot of eateries and convenient shops around. The staffs constantly checked on us, helping us with all of our enquiry and also our MeiTuan delivery!

Dali was a relatively unfamiliar name to me. From the temporary station in Dali to the entrance of the Pullman Hotel, everything seemed indistinguishable from other small to medium-sized cities. However, during my two-day stay at this hotel, I encountered the attentive Beata at the front desk, the ever-smiling and enthusiastic Felix in the lobby, and the kind-hearted driver Xiao Bao. They truly made me feel at home. Thanks to the recommendations of Felix and Beata, we were fortunate to have Xiao Bao as our guide for a day trip around Erhai Lake. Like many other tourists, we admired Cangshan Mountain, enjoyed the views of Erhai, tasted Xi Zhou Baba, got sunburnt, and took some mediocre photos—memories that might fade over time. Perhaps I won’t often recall the stories Xiao Bao shared about the history of the Dali Kingdom, the transformation of Yunnan’s war god into a mythical creature, or the customs of the Bai people’s weddings, the local treasures, and peculiarities. But what Xiao Bao left us with was a deeper connection and more unforgettable memories. I will remember how Xiao Bao passionately and vividly introduced his hometown to us. I will remember how he diligently and safely drove us for nine hours in one day, enduring the scorching sun while showing us the scenic spots around Erhai. He gave us a beautiful day. He added warmth and color to Cangshan and Erhai, bringing out an unparalleled shade of blue, perhaps the same deep indigo blue that the Bai people cherish. Though our two days in Dali were short, they were filled with meaning, leaving me with a sense of longing as I departed. I believe I will remember Dali for a long time, and I will fondly think of the people I met here. I hope Dali’s sun is gentle, so Xiao Bao’s sensitive skin feels more comfortable. Thank you, Xiao Bao, and the Pullman staff who took care of us these past two days. Dali, I will often think of you. Because of you all, this place is truly wonderful and beautiful and memorable.

The view from this hotel is amazing! You will be impressed! They also provide pickup and dropoff from the train station, which is absolutely convenient. Breakfast provided is pretty good too, I am happy to have them every morning! Owner also kindly offer guests warm milk at night, which is surprisingly nice. If you need any tour, booking or help around town, the owner is right there to assist. Will highly recommend this accommodation!

There are so many different accommodation options in Dali. After comparing them many times, we chose Sanse Yunhe, which really did not disappoint us. Shortly after placing the order, the front desk lady called to confirm the itinerary. The night before departure, the housekeeper brother Liu Jin took the initiative to add WeChat, and told us the weather here, sent the location, and directed us where to wait. After arriving, Liu Jin came out to help us carry our luggage. I felt embarrassed for him with two 28-inch large boxes. After checking in, he told us the precautions here one by one, and introduced the characteristics of eating here, which is cost-effective. We went out to play every day, and Liu Jin would carefully ask us when we would return to the room and prepare afternoon tea for us in advance. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and the value is here. The room is a waterfront room. I get up every day and stare at Erhai Lake. It's very comfortable. I stayed for 3 nights in a blink of an eye. If I hadn't gone back to move bricks, I would really be reluctant to leave. Come down to Dali, and come to the Three-Colored Cloud River, and look for six pounds 😊😊😊!
