Response from Property: Dear Mr. Chen, first of all, thank you for your reservation and stay. I believe any dissatisfaction stems from a lack of proper communication. Your stay coincided with the off-season after the ***** New Year. Dali hadn't experienced significant rainfall for over four months (with only occasional localized rain), and room occupancy was high during the holiday. Your description of a musty smell, black spots on the weathered headboard, and an air conditioner odor is indeed somewhat unfair. Given the dry weather, and especially in an upgraded second-floor room, the strong smell you described surprised us, prompting us to conduct a thorough investigation. We checked the security footage from that day; the cleaning service finished at 12:20 PM, and we inspected and closed the room after the floor was clean. The room floor was cleaned using a mixture of Blue Moon floor cleaner and 84 disinfectant tablets. You entered the room around 1:13 PM on the 8th after the front desk checked the room. If you felt any odor or discomfort during your stay, you could have changed rooms at any time. Guests checked into your room on the 7th and 9th, and the manager personally stayed one night to check after receiving your review; there was indeed no air conditioner or musty smell as you described. In addition, we clean the air conditioner filter monthly (cleaning records and daily photos are available in the work group). The old wooden board at the head of the bed is custom-made to the required size from weathered and dried old wood. We also checked the suspected mold spot you mentioned; it's actually a carbonization spot on the wood, and this black spot has been there since the hotel opened. The sink is indeed cracked because a guest accidentally broke it, and due to logistical issues, it wasn't replaced in time. However, regarding the hair in the bathroom drain you mentioned, we have penalized the front desk staff for this; it's a crucial hygiene standard, and we acknowledge our mistake and will definitely strengthen our oversight processes. Regarding your request to check out at 2 PM, the housekeeper didn't respond promptly due to subsequent group check-ins, which was also a lack of flexibility on our part.
