Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort ★★★
"The staff deserves all the credit. They make this place wonderful and a joy to stay at. The location is great, because it is close to Dauin’s town center and some good restaurants (Anahaw deserves a special mention as a great place to eat!). Looking at price performance, it’s a little pricy on diner and drinks, especially when compared to local alternatives. Other than that, Pura Vida is a very nice resort and relaxing place to be."
Sierra Resort ★★★
"We had a great time spending our anniversary with my husband and toddler. The property is peaceful, well maintained and has polite and approachable staff. The large pool area is perfect for families with kids as the depth is from 2 ft to 4 ft. Restaurant’s foods are quite expensive but considering the view, taste and staff’s attentiveness, it’s understandable. The resort’s parking area is also a plus. We were also surprised that we had two double beds as the booking from agoda indicates one single and one double beds only. What surprised us the most was the toilet and bath, it’s so huge that another family can sleep in it. This resort is really a gem in Dauin. Will definitely recommend to family and friends."
Vida Homes Condo Resort Dauin ★★★★
"We spent a month at Vida Homes and had the best trip ever. All the people there were fantastic and always helpful. They made us feel like family during all the holiday events, we never missed the snow back home! The facilities and food/drink options are top notch. There is amazing snorkeling/diving just right off the beach or a short walk away. This was far and away our best vacation trip."
Munting Paraiso by Bravo Hotel ★★★
"We spent 3 days at this resort. We have mixed feelings. I'll start with the good. The staff was excellent and provided great service. Offering to bring our meals to our room, the pool deck or dining area. Always polite and cheerful. Our room was clean, comfortable and properly supplied. There is a spring fed small hot pool area and a large salt water pool. The questionable: This is an older resort and is showing its age. Exterior exposed, electrical wiring was obviuos and questionable (by USA standards) concrete and tiles were cracked. The bad: the grassy areas had litter, bottle caps and cigarette butts. Small rock made walking a cautious experience. The beach area had debris. The drive from the main highway to the resort was concrete, Except, the last 200 meters. That stretch was dirt with large rocks and muddy areas that made transiting on tricycle almost prohibitive. It should be paved. Again, more trash which diminished the quality of the resort. Having said all that, we would consider staying there in the future, primarily because of the staff."
Infinity Diving Resort and Residences ★★★
"Relaxing place. Friendly staff"
Atmosphere Resorts & Spa ★★★★
"There's definitely a difference compared to a 5-star hotel, but the service from the front desk to the room service is excellent. The smiles are genuine, unlike the staff at the Shangri-La Hotel in Boracay, who smile perfunctorily. The mini bar doesn't have bottled water; you need to boil local water. So, it's best to bring your own bottled water here. You also need to get toiletries from the front desk. The environment here isn't as good as on more established commercial islands. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so remember to bring mosquito repellent."
Gracey Dive Resort And Restaurant ★★
"I had a good stay here. I got the standard room. The building was like a big mediterranean greek inspired villa. There is pool and a paddio with a lovely beach view. The breakfast was included and you ordered it from a menu and it was really good. You can also take a swim on the beach outside if you want I can recommend you to stay at this place."
Mike's Dauin Dive Resort ★★★
"Mike’s resort is a typical diving resort, like you find in the best places in the world for diving. Basically a 3* beach resort with a pool, bar and restaurant and everyone staying comes for the underwater world. The lack of luxury is more than compensated by the friendliest and knowledgeable staff: both the local people from Negros and Apo Island and the internationals from the US and UK. Our girls got their PADI OW certification here and are now confident divers, doing several more dives in the Philippines. Rooms are comfortable and have a good shower and air conditioning. And a TV, but we never used it. It’s a quiet place on the beach, most guests were in their room at 10PM, when we were there. Sometimes the dogs bark in the night (there are dogs everywhere in the Philippines, and are taken care of by the community) The diving is great, both along the shore as around Apo Island (unique experience!). A lot of fish and other uderwater life. Turtles can easily be spotted snorkeling directly of the beach in one of the open water sanctuaries close by the resort. The dive guides are very experienced, with probably 1,000+ scuba dives each. And most of them started young as free divers and know all the good spots around. Kitchen is great too, with the nicest local staff. Next to that you will find a couple of good places for people who like healthy vegan food. We loved the one at the yoga studio at the central square. Will definitely recommend going to Mike’s resort and probably come back there if we get the chance."
Liquid Dive Resort ★★★
"The hotel service is OK. If there is any problem with the room, it can be changed immediately. The hotel is close to the sea and has a large lawn, which is suitable for a leisurely vacation. The hotel has two swimming pools and professional diving teachers. It is a professional diving shop. Disadvantages: The room decoration is simple, the water pressure for showering is too low, the water is a bit muddy, and you can't wash clothes. Don't wash clothes. In addition, the transportation is a bit inconvenient. It's not worth selling a room for more than 400."
