The overall experience at Mogan Mountain House was quite mixed. While the service was truly excellent the staff were warm, responsive, and made every effort to help other aspects of the stay fell short of expectations.
The cleanliness of the place wasn’t up to standard. The rooms and common areas could have been maintained better. The location was also a big disappointment; it was either too remote, difficult to access, or simply not what we expected from a scenic getaway.
Amenities were limited and didn’t quite match the descriptions online, some were outdated or not functioning properly.
That said, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff did make a difference and is probably the highlight of this stay. With some improvements in hygiene, facilities, and better transparency around the location, this could be a much more enjoyable place.

The room details say 35 square meters, which is not actually the case, but that's not a big problem. What was unbearable was the smell of wood when entering the room, and the smell of mushrooms in the toilet. It was really uncomfortable to sleep at night.
The only thing I'm satisfied with is the breakfast bar. The scenery is what you see on the road out.

The room is big, the environment is nice, and the dishes cooked by the boss are delicious. The specialty roasted pork with dried bamboo shoots is extremely delicious, and the scrambled eggs with tomatoes are full of original flavor. Go there next time you pass by!
