Hotels in Changping Town, Dongguan

Overall, I was more than satisfied with the quality of the breakfast and the quick and free laundry service. However, I encountered very bad front office service at night (male staff). Since I am a foreigner, I wanted to confirm which train station and train number to Guangzhou Station He just couldn't be bother to check and says that there is no train number to Guangzhou from Changping and that Guangzhou station is the same as Guangzhou East station. Such bad attitude by your night staff is unacceptable !! 

I am a Western businessman who visits Changping regularly but usually stayed farther away in Dongguan. After reading many reviews, I decided to pick the Fairfield Marriott—and am I glad that I did. Not only was it super close to the company that I was visiting, but the hotel was clean and incredibly well maintained, and equally important to me was the outstanding (and incredibly reasonably priced) breakfast. It had everything I wanted and was on par with much more expensive hotels, especially for a Western palate. I was told by a Chinese colleague that this was also true for the Chinese breakfast selection. If you are a Western traveler looking for an outstanding choice in Changping, the Fairfield Marriott should be your go-to choice, hands down! No need to stay further away for a top notch hotel!

The hotel is well located at Changping city center in Dongguan. It provided all basic amenities and is clean. However, I was disappointed that the windows could not open. There is still lingering smell of smoke in the room dispute it is supposed to be a non-smoking room in a non-smoking floor. Suggestions for improvement when your hotel is up for renovation: 1. Make windows that can be open for better ventilation. 2. Remove all carpets from all rooms so it is more sanitary and easier to keep clean. The carpets has many stain in them and emits odour. I want to compliment on the staffs of the hotel. They were very courteous and helpful. They helped made our stay pleasant.

The room (Guest Room) we chose was so-so. Limited to 7th floor. I believe these were the rooms partially renovated from the old sauna service rooms prior to the vice crackdowns from ten years ago. The rooms were fitted with a sauna (not sure if working or not) and open, not enclosed shower. Room was smaller than the deluxe/executive rooms and did not have the amenities such as bathtub, enclosed shower, in room safe, bathrobes, disposable slippers, iron and ironing board. I would recommend paying $4 - $10 more just to get one of the other rooms. The redeeming factor about our stay was that it fell during their 14th anniversary and we were able to receive discounts of about 30% on our dinner meals. We had two separate consecutive reservations.

Disappointed with the hotel's housekeeping service. I left my jacket when I check-out on 23 June. When I check with the reception about my jacket. I was told that housekeeping did not find the jacket. This is totally unacceptable.

Hotel itself was clean but in the room you can smell a bad odour... Buffet breakfast was in a very basic level although most of serving containers were empty at 8:30 am and no on was refilling them. Overall, I can recommend to look for a better option even with cheaper price...

This is just my own lightning protection sticker. There is a strong smell of cigarettes in the room on the 5th floor. I don't know why the air conditioner is very loud. The hotel is also very old. There is loud music at 1 o'clock when I sleep at night. I don't know where it comes from. It's very noisy. Maybe the hotel is too old. There are dirt in different places. The TV is also very small. The advantage is that it is very big. When I went to have breakfast in the morning, the staff said that someone had registered my room number and had eaten. I was a little confused.

Nice place, resort entrance is separate and have fee to enter. There is no benefit of staying at resort. I thought no entry fee if stay at their resort. Overall nice expensive experience.

The receptionist at the front desk had a good service attitude. We upgraded our room for free. The room was large and clean.
