Riu Plaza the Gresham Dublin - Photo Gallery

I recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin and found its location on O'Connell Street to be exceptionally convenient for exploring Dublin's main attractions. However, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. Additionally, the lobby area felt cramped during peak times, making it less inviting for relaxation. While the hotel's central location is a significant advantage, improvements in breakfast offerings and lobby comfort would enhance the overall guest experience.

Located in the center of walking street, airport shuttle buses are in front of the hotel.

Excellent communal space, superb location. Room assigned really was poor - opposite ice machine, overlooking a building and AC machine so it was really noisy. Great bathroom though

Excellent hotel, undergoing some refurbishment so some workmen around with associated noise and disruption. Had 1 small issue with our room, offered and accepted a change of room, which the hotel sorted within an hour of arriving and checking in. Able to leave bags on check in and check out days without any problems. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and catered for all diets and requirements. Central location on O'Connell Street, easily walkable to most central attractions and hop on / off bus tours directly outside. Would 100% stay again.

Since we arrived, check in and saw our room, everything was good. But when we tried to take shower, we found out the problem. At the first night, we tried long long time to adjust the water’s temperature but unfortunately it was still not working. The water was way too too too hot and it became too too too cold when we tried to adjust a little bit. There was no medium temperature or the medium temperature could only last for 10 seconds. So we was difficultly finishing our shower at the first night. (It was frustrating because Dublin was 0 degrees, we was super cold after took shower.) We went to the reception at the other day morning and told them about this problem. They sent some maintainers to our room and after that they told us the problem has been fixed. At that night, we tried the shower again and it was still the same. I went to the reception immediately and requested to change our room because we desperately want to take a normal shower. They finally arranged me a half size room and which is fine because I was tired to argue with this stupid stuff. But the water pressure of the new room was very weak and also the water was just warm and cannot make it hotter. I just want to take a comfortable shower and I really don’t understand how can it became so difficult. Beside, most of the staff don’t have any smile. They were not rude but they just looked unhappy. Due to the reason above, I don’t think this hotel deserve 4 stars. And I would suggest tourists go somewhere else for stays. The positive thing: The breakfast was good. Perfect location.

The hotel location is very convenient! The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food! The room was clean and comfortable, but the water temperature in the bathroom was sometimes hot and sometimes cold, and the room was poorly soundproofed, so you could hear people talking in the corridor.

The room is quite big, 33 square meters is considered a big room in Europe. The hygiene is good, the location is very good near the bus station. The restaurant is very beautiful and the breakfast is very rich. The waiter is very enthusiastic, and I am quite satisfied overall

A city classic renovated by RIU. Very good rooms. Excellent breakfast.
