Hotels in Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring, Dunhuang

The overall design is strong and the service is also very good. In the morning, you can hear the sound of the shower draining upstairs in the courtyard room, which is a bit noisy. At night, you can hear singing upstairs when you sit in the courtyard, but you can no longer hear it after you return to the room and close the door.

It was my first time to the Northwest, and I saw what a strong wind is when I left the airport! However, when I arrived at the hotel, it was unexpectedly grand, just like the generosity of the Northwest people. The housekeeper Wang Juanjuan at the front desk provided attentive service, and upgraded our room type for the second day for free, gave the children free coupons for breakfast for two days, sent foot bath supplies every night, and reminded us to eat beef noodles in the morning... Even though we couldn't go out because of the sandstorm, it was also very nice for the family to watch TV and eat in the spacious and high-ceilinged luxury suite. It was a happy vacation⛱️

The most surprising discovery of my trip to Dunhuang! Staying at this B&B right at the entrance to the Crescent Lake scenic area truly made the entire experience incredibly blissful! I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dunhuang! [Perfect Location] The B&B is right next to the Crescent Lake scenic area, a 5-minute walk from the desert wonders! It's super convenient for watching the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, saving you the hassle of waiting for the shuttle bus at the entrance. At night, I could even gaze at the desert stars from the terrace, feeling truly connected to nature! [Perfect Service] From the moment I booked, I felt the owner's attentiveness! We agreed on a pick-up time in advance, and the driver enthusiastically helped with our luggage. Upon check-in, the housekeeper offered us homemade apricot peel water and thoughtfully provided a sand mask and body lotion! [Amazing Facilities] The room's natural wood design creates a soothing, warm, and comfortable atmosphere. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the hot water comes out instantly. The toiletries are also very useful (I forgot the brand). Best of all, our room has a large picture window with a view of the Mingsha Mountain, making it very quiet at night.

I've never experienced such a wonderful desert hotpot in my life! After gazing at the majestic rolling sand dunes during the day, I sat in the open-air courtyard in the evening, the copper pot bubbling with steam, and I ate lamb rolls wrapped in sesame sauce. The evening breeze, carrying the coolness of the sand, blew past, and I looked up to see the sunset painted a vibrant orange-pink glow—the contrast was incredible! The most amazing thing was the starry night sky. Lying on the lounge chairs set up by the hotel, the Milky Way was so clear it looked like a handful of diamonds, and even the twinkling stars were visible. The waiter said that on clear days, you could even see a shooting star, and sure enough, I saw one shortly after waiting, and quickly closed my eyes and made a wish. The room was also very comfortable, completely unlike the desert. The hot water was plentiful, the bedding was soft, and when I opened the curtains in the morning, I could see the sunrise, painting the sand dunes a golden rim. Next time I visit the desert, this will definitely be my only choice!

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake scenic area, and can be reached on foot. It is easy to check in the beautiful scenery in the morning and evening. For people like me who love to visit scenic spots but don't want to travel, it is perfect. The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the cost performance is super high. I highly recommend it!

The hotel opened in June, and its overall design is absolutely perfect for photography enthusiasts, giving the feeling of being in a Middle Eastern desert hotel. A complimentary Platinum Wedding Photography session was included with check-in; the photography and makeup services were quite good, and I happily paid extra for professionally retouched photos. The hotel provides complimentary dinner, desserts, and drinks for consecutive stays, offers different craft classes daily, and features a bonfire and Dunhuang dance performance in the evenings. The hotel also complimentary a performance of the Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes show by the China Disabled Persons' Performing Arts Troupe (the same team that performed the Thousand Hands Guanyin program at the Spring Festival Gala). A big thank you to driver Mr. Xia and manager Mr. Bai for braving the rain to get tickets and arrange transportation for us, including taking my child to and from the Mingsha Mountain. I'm also grateful to my room manager, Ms. Wen Yaru, for her thoughtful service and arrangements during my stay, and to housekeeping staff Ms. Xu Yaping. The hotel added many wonderful memories to my trip to Dunhuang.

Very good location to enjoy the view of Ming Sha Shan together. Considerate service and very thoughtful facilities included. Better to stay here when planning to go to the Ming sha shan, 4 mins taxi from hotel to there. 10-15mins taxi to the city centre.

The attitude of the staff is very good, especially the slightly fat staff at the front desk who is very friendly and will take you upstairs. He is very friendly and the environment is also very nice. I spent 3 days in Dunhuang and changed three hotels. Luye was the best experience for me. I usually don’t comment on it, but this time I deliberately posted a paragraph, and I’m not a shill.

The location is outside the City center in a green ,lush,very quiet environment and very close the Singing mountains . The hotel is built and equipped in traditionell style. The breakfast is made of fresh and high quality dishes in local style. Absoluty outstanding was the hospitality and the help with information, transportation and even more ..we could experience places , got information about the local live, the history of Dunhuang and much more. Departing was like leaving friends behind. Special thanks to Mr. HU his son, the landlords and to Candy. Hope to visit that place and the awesome stay again.

Early check-in, welcome fruit, late check-out, this is not counted, we upgraded the room type, each room will send an extra breakfast. This hotel is really good for Trip.com members. The room is spacious and bright, clean and tidy, with a good view. You can see the small garden downstairs in the near view, and the distant view can overlook Mingsha Mountain. The key is that the service is good, the service staff is very friendly and polite, especially thanks to the warm reception of the front desk Ma Hongli's little sister. Special reminder, the parking lot on both sides of the hotel can be used, and you have to tell the front desk when you leave the scene, and you will open the floodgates for the guests.
