Fortunately I only stayed 1 night in this ”hotel”. Charm 0, quality 0, ambience 0, breakfast at hostel level, pluspoint were the parking places directly at the house. Incomprehensible how this house can remain competitive, stay with breakfast just below €100, very sporty for the ”price/performance ratio”. My room was designed to the main street, You could only sleep with closed windows because of road traffic. Concluded: here it has been for years, if not for decades, there have been no more investments. Plus: good mattress, this must be said fairly.

The average Vd Valk feels only then Sheraton. By the name of this hotel, you expect a high-class hotel (for the price certainly) friendlyly received and helped at the reception and after check-in as the bags taken from the car that stood under the hotel's parking garage. The room was beautifully large (but a place to get the bag was not there so only on the ground. The hotel was clean and nice, breakfast was good all though some in our party was missing bacon at the breakfast buffet. Check-in was a little slow, and during the night the drink serving was really slow. The reception seemed undermanned as one guy had to handle both the check ins and the bar. This made him unable to clear the tables from empty drinks. The waiting time at the bar was hardy ever less than 5 minutes.

I am a native dinner and therefore know the hotel forever. The location is central, opposite to the main station and in the middle of the city. The rooms are spacious according to category. I find it great that you can open the windows. Also the beds are comfortable. Breakfast at price, there is a potential for improvement. However, 100% recommendation

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a trade fair. I absolutely cannot agree with the previous speakers here. Everything was fine with us. The room in the main building was clean and well maintained. The hotel had problems with TV reception - we were made aware of this in advance and it was not a problem for us as we spent very little of our stay in the room. The television should work in the annex building - if desired we could have switched to it. The breakfast buffet was rich and delicious. Fresh fruit and chopped vegetables, a small selection of fresh rolls and various spreads and toppings and much more. You could choose soy milk as an alternative to milk. The service in the hotel was very friendly. A small drawback - our room was not made after the first night. Wasn't a problem for us as we were only staying for two nights. Maybe we just overlooked something here and it really wasn't included. Maybe these are also corona rules that we didn't know about. But as I said... Not so wild for us. The hotel is super centrally located - the city center, a large shopping center and the subway can easily be reached on foot.

This new hotel is centrally located in Essen (which is actually located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, not in Lower Saxony). It is situated close to the main railway station, shopping and restaurants. Parking is shared with the Moxy Hotel and available at EUR 15. The hotel is modern and has a large lobby area with comfy seating, part of which also serves as breakfast area. Our standard suite was spacious and clean and faced the courtyard, making it quiet and nice. Check-in was not up to usual Mariott standards, and we ended up in a smaller room than the corner suite, we had booked. However, we decided to stay in the standard suite, which turned out to be quieter, as it did not face the street. During our stay wifi was only available in the lobby area, which was really annoying. At check-out we were reimbursed by not having to pay for the parking. The breakfast was good without being great. The hotel is good, but the service we had did not meet usual Marriott standards.

I can only say: a very bad experience. The fact that the hotel has come into the years and sprays the spirit of a 1980 house is already bad. The fact that it is noisy and the air conditioning probably does not work from the 1970s is probably only consistent. However, it is very regrettable that the staff behavior is when checking and checkout. It may be that the ladies are not paid decently, but then a different job would be better than to ”experience” their own frustration to customers. It was also clearly noted that it could not be a trained force, because as guests they had to explain almost everything. I will not at all return good money to such a hotel and such staff again. Business travel for Euroshop. Liked my stay and did not feel as formal as a hotel. Breakfast was good, warm breakfast was ok but got boring after the 3rd day. Staff helpful. I will go back to this hotel. Taxis and trains close to hotel. Rooms clean and bedding nice white linen. Good experience

We loved it here. everyone was very nice but especially barman mo he was very welcoming and made us the best cocktails he made ur experience a 10 out a 10 you feel at home ! And We wil definitely come back as soon as possible With lovely Greetings family martis

The hotel is 20 minutes walk from Essen Central Railway Station, not far from the pedestrian street, walking is within walking distance, parking is also very convenient downstairs in the hotel itself. The parking fee is 17.5 Euro/night, which is a bit more expensive. The parking fee has to be paid in advance and not accepted. It is estimated that inflation in Europe has been quite severe in the past two years. I feel that prices are soaring, and prices for meals and accommodation are rising.
