Croit Anna Hotel

Very short staffed. Waited 45 minutes most evenings to be served dinner. Our table was situated on the outskirts of the dance floor and totally ignored by staff. Kept getting told I’ll find out who your waiter is. Very chaotic and the serving system needs reviewing. Ran out of soup on our first night. Food was ok, nothing special. Our suitcase was left outside the wrong room when we arrived so I had to go looking for it. Very cold room and took receptionist 4 hours to find me an extra blanket. No hot water one morning so had to have a cold shower! Wouldn’t recommend the hotel at all!

We can't understand some of the other negative reviews. The hotel is not 5 star luxury but we found it lived up to it's 3 star rating. We did pay a little more for a Superior room. It had a lovely Loch view. A large room, very large bed, clean, comfortable with all we needed. Complimentary tea, coffee, bottled water in the fridge and biscuits. Clean modern bathroom with walk in shower. The meals were good & wholesome. Always served quickly by our waiters Dan & Leandro who were great. Very friendly and helpful. The drinks in the bar were reasonably priced unlike some hotels. We ordered a packed lunch for our journey home and it was also very good value. No hotel is perfect and some grumpy customers will find fault wherever they go!!

Eileen Derbyshire Having been told by my tour company two weeks prior to departure there were no ground floor rooms I was informed that there was not many steps to my room. I found that there was 23 going by the signage mainly occupied by Alpha customers, My room was on the first floor up 16 steps and as I am disabled I struggled all week, I opened my bedroom door to find the room in darkness it was up against a bank side and no sunlight got in. The grouting around the shower was so dirty I thought it had been paintedYeah where are you black.The service in the dining room was appalling we had to wait up to 3/4 hour to get served. We waited so long one morning we nearly missed the trip. We had to order our evening meal at breakfast to help the chef but after waiting for ever we were told there was no chicken left. The meals were generally poor with hardly any choice for the evening meal. This is one hotel I will not be visiting again. I felt the we were second class citizens to the alpha customers

Absolutely terrible hotel. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there. Room service went into our room one day and made the bed but then had quite obviously been lying on it probably watching the television. They had gone into the bathroom and put toilet cleaner down the toilet but never bothered with tidying the rest of it. Cups from morning the same as we’d left them. Nothing had been touched. Staff in the dining room made such a favour of serving us. Attitude was as if they couldn’t believe you wanted them to get you any food. My husband asked for another roll as he’d eaten his while waiting so long to be served. He was told the rule was only one each. It was just like Fawlty Towers in real life. We were on an Alfa coach trip which was lovely but the hotel was the worse place we’ve ever stayed at.
