Lovely location. The food was very disappointing. Very expensive and not particularly interesting. Afternoon tea was fine but a very small table was somewhat irritating. The pool was very nice but odd having an adult only time at 3pm in a so called child friendly hotel. Room was not very clean with food and tissues by the bed. Breakfast was good on a plus point.

We had a lovely morning here as part of the 'rise, swim and shine' Spa package. Beautiful pool area with lovely views. Very hot sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Followed by delicious breakfast in main hotel. Decor of the whole place is really stunning and the restaurant staff were lovely. Would recommend.

So sad came for Mother’s Day , put in a corner table by dirty wall and besides lots of high chairs , very strage as we were 4 faults not any children with us , there was only one other family in the room , food very small portions ought out for four people little dishes of veg , I called to say I was disappointed as it really wasn’t up to Fowey hall standard , was told someone will call back , heard nothing , it’s very sad as I’m local and have always loved how they used to do it so right , you always felt like you had had a best time , wonderful food and the staff used to know how to do it correct , sadly it’s all feels like no one can we bothered and it was very expensive so sadly then you just don’t want to go back

We booked with high expectations, and chose a fabulous room with a brilliant sea view at £500.00 per night. Our anticipation of a wonderful weekend was burst when we checked in as our room was filthy, dirty toilet, toe nails on the floor and thick dust on most surfaces and drawers. Our room was not cleaned on our second day although the bed was made. We showed the manager around our room and a commitment was made that the room would be forensically cleaned. When we returned from our day out our room was still exceptionally dirty, with thick dust over the mirrors, dirty drawers full of dust and a thick Matt of hair behind and under the bath. We called reception and asked for the manager, who chose not to attend, instead the executive housekeeper attended who was rude, lacked any customer service skills, she suggested we had planted the dust as she had cleaned the room herself. On anther note don’t eat in the hotel the food is very second rate, and the service is appalling. There are many lovely restaurants in Fowey, I urge you to use them as the food is better value and properly cooked. Don’t have breakfast in the hotel as the food is a very poor quality and badly cooked. Generally the hotel is completely overpriced for the service you receive and the diabolical food.

Lovely stay, friendly staff, stylish interior with a relaxed vibe. Great breakfast 7-10am Rooms are rather too warm, they do provide an air conditioner (if but a little loud) also have a ceiling fan. Nice spa, sauna, steam room, very hot jacuzzi and good size pool, decking with a view out towards the estuary.

Spa day for £99 All in All.....a great day. I spent about 6 hrs there ! Some great Historic Pictures / Framed Cut outs etc in the Library room. I had previously asked a treatment time as the email said times for arriving and meal but not when my massage was booked in. Maybe just a tweak to confirmation email needed, nothing major ! I was booked in for a treatment straight away with Antonia who showed me where everything was like the changing / Lockers etc she was so helpful and really relaxed me. The massage was excellent & had some different techniques that I've never had on other masages before. The Oil she used smelt amazing! The relax room for a bit before Lunch with a vanilla chai 😉 I decided to take all my belongings up to the Hotel Restaurant (Spa is a totally separate building) ... I was a bit early so stepped around the front of the hotel to be met with a Harris Hawk and it's Keeper (pest control for the Gulls apparently) and a bit of a show for the Guests he said. 😮 Staff were helpful and showed me into the restaurant saying I could sit anywhere (it was virtually empty) One course was enough as I was going to use the Pool etc ! Steak Frites and it was really nice ... All cooked lovely. The Pool , sauna , steam and Hydro Spa pool (such a great temperature) were all nice but It did feel a tiny bit tired. I really don't wanna point bad stuff out as I had such an amazing relaxing time but .... * Mouldy door on the Disabled Toilet in Pool looks a bit horrible. *Zero Lockers that actually lock * Steam Room floor looked a bit dirty *In the library there was a great old map of Cornwall but was sort of masked by a gigantic Floor Standing Lamp. 😢 I had the most fantastic day and this was just what I needed to de-stress I've seen a few reviews saying the hotel is Snobby , I didn't find this at all and the staff treated me fine in my T-shirt and Jeans attire ! 😆 Ile probably come back but it may be a once in a while treat ! 😉

Really unpleasant experience. Food was really bad quality, got food poisoning on trip. facilities were unclean - our room wasn’t clean, pool wasn’t clean, kids den wasn’t clean. Really overpriced for our experience and wouldn’t visit again.

I booked a one night stay in half term with my husband and two boys, 9 & 11 years. We opted for B&B with dinner in the hotel. It is not cheap at nearly £400 per night. We were booked into a non-sea view family room, in the new build. Very nice room when the curtains were closed, spacious kids room, clean well appointed bathroom (no water pressure) and comfortable. Pool is small, only 1.1m deep so no good for the kids to jump in, but very nice for a quick swim. Some underwater lighting would have made it look more luxurious. Hot tub lovely and warm. We were booked in for dinner at 6pm. We were served food at just after 8pm! My husband and I sat on our own whilst the kids played chess - they were starving, missed the film at the cinema, spent no time with us and to be honest, were so past it by 8:20pm that they couldn't really eat. Hotel staff just kept saying 'we're busy!'. As a consequence, the evening was ruined. We had no chance to sit and have a drink in the lounge or to enjoy the evening at all. Turned out they were a chef down, but were not honest or up front. Dinner was reimbursed but this was not enough to make up for a totally ruined evening. Breakfast was a 40 minute wait for a poached egg..... need i say more. We were not the only family sitting with starving children waiting for food. It was a farce. Sadly, I will not be returning and will not be able to recommend this. Honesty goes along way, and the staff were not honest. They took our money and did not deliver luxury. I am disappointed, to say the least.
