We would stay here again, ideal spot to explore Fowey and surrounding area. Lovely views over estuary from patio bar area and our room. 10 min walk to carpark (Caffa mill car park) but not an issue as we brought rucksacks and you can drop luggage then park. If you pay parking on app makes it easier to extend in the morning - rather than walking down to buy ticket.

We have just returned from a short break at this superb hotel. We stayed in room 6 which had two sets of French doors that opened to give an uninterrupted view of the estuary and it was brilliant to sit and watch the harbour waking up each morning while drinking an early morning coffee. Everyone at this hotel was very friendly and helpful right from the reception staff to the night watchman. The food was refreshingly created and a superb breakfast set us up,for the day ahead. This is definitely a hotel that we will return to someday.

The hotel, staff and especially the food were brilliant. The menu is select and perfectly presented. Our superior room had a cute balcony, but which made the stay. Fowey is very hilly and narrow so not for people with mobility difficulties.

Food...excellent..service excellent Susannah on reception sorted dinner reservation for a special occasion Rooms comfortable, smart and clean ...Bay views are lovely. Biggest issue is lack of car park...and a long walk... drop off not easy

Very nice hotel in the middle of Fowey High Street. Comfortable room, nice decor and friendly and helpful staff. The evening meals were of a really high quality: interesting menu and perfectly cooked and presented. A hotel that is well worth a visit. Parking is a bit of a pain as the hotel doesn’t have any on-site parking but the council car parks are about 10 minute walk away and with very reasonable charges.

Lovely hotel with great service and fabulous food. The evening meal was first class. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great position for wandering around the town. Would definitely return.

We had a weekend away at the Old Quay House. The weather was terrible but this amazing hotel more than made up for the rain. Everyone working there was warm and friendly, the food was amazing….top notch and the view from our room was superb (even in the rain.). Fowey itself is a picturesque little Cornish town with some interesting shops and nice bars. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel.

The Old Quay House Hotel is based right in the middle of the almost ridiculously pretty village of Fowey. The décor is smart with a subtle nautical theme throughout. Our Estuary view room was very pretty and it was lovely to wake up both mornings to the view. Food was exemplary - the fish dishes were both delicious and imaginative. Breakfast was excellent. Apart from the bedroom being too warm for me which affected my sleep (obviously a very personal thing) the hotel was more or less perfect. I hope to return.

We just had 1 night on a secret escapes deal with dinner and breakfast. We arrived early and as expected room wasn't ready but the hotel kindly rung us when it became available to check in. We booked the street facing room which was well tastefully decorated with a good size bathroom. The bedroom was a little small and very warm. We were woken very early by the church bells, cars and bottle pick up so the river side rooms would be better. The evening meal was a little disappointing. The mackerel starter was tasty just not enough. The blade of beef really needed some other component. Service was excellent though from the young gentleman who also served us at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent though. Able to select as much as you wanted from the menu. The cooked cornish was excellent. Great produce, well cooked and beautifully hot. For me would have liked some form of sweet pastry/ muffin on the menu. The staff here are very friendly and on check out the receptionist was also very good, checking everything was good with our stay. Happy with our stay for what we paid and would look for the offer in the future.
