Fox Glacier Hotels with Breakfast

A typical motel with its own kitchen and bathroom. The room facilities are very good and the hygiene is also very good. In addition to the bed, there are sofas, dining tables and dining chairs. There are front and back doors, parking on one side, and a lawn and leisure platform on the other side. The service staff is very enthusiastic and will tell you the nearby tourist information and weather conditions. The hotel is on the Fox Glacier Road. Go to Lake Mathisen and the glacier viewing point on the right hand side of the door. Just drive straight and follow the road signs. No navigation is required. In short, it is cost-effective and very satisfactory.

Clean and sanitary, the staff is very friendly. The weather was bad, so we played some games in the common room, which was very warm.

This should be a motel run by Chinese people. The front desk staff can speak Chinese. It is far from the town center, but it is not a big deal since most people travel by car. As a motel for a rest stop, it is neither good nor bad, but it is strictly forbidden to charge electric vehicles here, even if it is equipped with a standard car charger for household power. I communicated with the front desk several times, but was rejected even though I expressed my willingness to pay the fee and bear the risk. Friends who travel by electric vehicle should try to book a hotel with a destination charger, especially on the west coast where there are few charging stations, which may be a bit worrying.

Centrally located hotel and its walking distance from all the glacier activity offices.

When we arrived, the receptionist was out, so our order was posted on the glass outside. We looked at the name and found the room number and went directly to the room. The key was hanging on the keyhole at the door. The room was well-equipped, but we were too lazy to cook, so we found a popular restaurant 100 meters away from us.

Very nice staff, everything was perfect. Breakfast could be better but quite standard in NZ.

Facilities: All necessary, you can cook in the room Hygiene: clean and tidy Environment: A very cozy cabin with electric blankets in winter. The location is excellent. If you want to check in at the supermarket or go hiking on the glacier, it is estimated to be 5 minutes away. It's also very close to drive to the trail for hiking, and the environment of the hotel itself is beautiful! Service: Very enthusiastic. Whenever I see you, I will say hello. If I encounter any problem, I will find a way to help you solve it.

The hotel is right next to the departure point for the Fox Glacier helicopter, and you can walk there after checking in. It rained when we came so we couldn't make the trip, but the hotel itself was pretty good and the room was large. The only drawback was that the water pressure was very low and the shower was not very comfortable. Breakfast is a Western-style buffet breakfast, which is not rich but enough to satisfy you. You can have dinner for white people at the whitepub coffee shop next to the hotel. It costs NZD 25-30 per person and the taste is okay. Hotels in Fox Glacier are generally expensive. After 11 days in New Zealand, this is the only one with a price over 1,000.

The male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.
