We spent 4 days with 3 families from the Netherlands at Jacaranda Lake Elementaita Lodge and still have the best memories of this place! Lake elementaita is not as popular as Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru, but definitely worth a visit. Very scenic with flamingos, pelicans, zebras and even hot springs. The lodge stands out because of it’s spacious, atmospheric gardens, which are frequently visited by monkeys. The lodge overlooks the scenic Lake Elementaita. The staff is amazing, very service oriented. In particular Zachari was great as a guide and great at facilitating games with the kids. We would definitely recommend the walking trip with him to the lake. The accomodation dates from colonial times, which gives it it’s charm, bit it also means that some amenities could use some renovation/upgrade to make the place like how it once was.

Great location and staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite dated, but this is also part of the history of the lodge. No Aircon, fan or safe which would have been good. We did a bird watching walk to the lake with one of the staff in the afternoon that was great.

This hotel is set in serene beautiful surroundings with a lovely garden overlooking Lake Elementaita! Definitely the rooms are unkempt and need upgrading ! However the one we were allotted was pretty clean It was our first day in Kenya and we were interested in unwinding and we were very happy to stroll around the meadow with Joseph ! The food was good though they had few options the ones they did have were sensible and definitely satisfactory . Ambrose our waiter was very sweet and we had a good experience overalll as the ambience makes up for any deficiencies ! About the staff let me comment that making it clear they expect Tips is bred into the Tourism industry all over Tanzania and Kenya and possibly many poor and underdeveloped countries and so not peculiar to this hotel ! So all in all a quiet fairly good experience ! Its possible if I had the arranging of the trip I would've pushed on to Lake Nakuru on the very first day but with the perspective gained after the whole trip I'm glad I visited Jacranda Lake Elementaita Lodge for a day !!

This place is a little paradise. Colonial style building in a large and beautiful garden, overlooking Lake Elementaita. Cute monkeys all around. All the hassles from traveling on the road is dissipated once entering into this property. We enjoy every second we spent in this hotel. The hotel is old but very well maintained and clean. Comfortable room, friendly staffs. The food is decent, although the variety could be improved. One of the hotel's paid services is a knowledgeable guide who can take you on a tour around Lake Elementaita, which is highly recommended. The only area where I think the hotel can improve is the tap, which is a bit difficult to turn on. Despite this minor issue, it is still fully functional.

It's a real blast from the past. Nostalgia-filled classic Kenyan tourism. That said, the place is a little run down, but nothing a little touching up here and there won't fix. The staff were all friendly, with great meals all around, but it has to be said that the lodge does need a makeover to return it to its glorious past

The lodge is in a picturesque setting. The building dates from the 19th century and is superb. Accommodation is in separate villas. They are spacious and comfortable. They are also a long uphill walk from reception. Staff take your baggage. Rooms do not have telephones or TV but they do have internet access inside. Food is plentiful and typical Kenyan. Monkeys might visit.

The Hotel staff-especially Mr Patrick and Lawrence ngatia are very welcoming (10/10).Very professional as well as friendly especially Lawrence ngatia The hotel is actually nice but needs a little bits of maintenance and upgrades.. Would highly recommend it to people who want a nice quite place to unwind.. Food wise -I felt that there wasn't enough options to choose from...So we made good use of Kikopey and gilgil

I stayed here with a friend and out two kids.. The place is clean, the rooms need a little upgrade, they are very old, You need to get Smart TVs.. as the channels had nothing interesting. @Jacaranda lake elementaita, you must do everything possible to retain Zachary Kinyanjui, if not for him, we would have left after one day... He is good with kids, and great with staff. The food was horrible.. We ended up disposing most of it off... There are also not many options.. Invest in at least one good chef... This is a great hotel but needs a lot of work so it can compete with the rest. Thanks.

The hotel is based in a very green and refreshing environment. The rooms are clean. Mr. Zakaria is the best welcoming staff in the hotel. The hotel can make improvements in regard to the TV stations available especially for kids.
