Guilin Xiufeng District 4-star Hotels

Stayed one night in this lovely hotel. Very clean and quiet during our stay. Ladies on the desk were very helpful to us throughout our time in Guilin. Visited the tourist spots and this hotel is a prime location as all of them are in walking distance. The night market is on the street outside which is perfect for dinner plus the flower ice cream (a must try in Guilin) can be bought locally (including right next door to the hotel). My only small issue during our stay was there was no English on the bottles in the shower. Each one looked exactly the same and my Mandarin is not competent enough to tell them apart. However, this did not dampen our stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent service, so friendly and helpful at all times, anything you need, anything you dont understand just ask reception. Guilin can be a hard to navigate without a local guide, but the hotel acts as a local friend that you have anytime, 24/7. The breakfast is so delicious with all the local cuisine and in fact it is better than the restaurants, especially the Guilin Mifeng, the Guilin vermicelli. There is a good balance of western and Chinese breakfast items.  We are particularly impressed with the location being opposite the lake/river the scenery is stunning, waking up to the Gulin mountains is such an unforgettable experience.  The slippers are very comfortable, the toilet is automated and the whole room is Smart ( bit too smart for us, haha, took us a while to find out how to operate it all). The windows are double glazed and sometimes there is a classical Chinese band practising their music across the hotel beside the lake/river. The roof top level is amazing see photos for sunset  Its a 15 minute walk to a lot of local attractions. Most of all, it is the staff that is always so helpful for all things you need while you are away from home., thank you!!

This hotel has been one of the best experiences we've had! The rooms are clean, the views are amazing, and most of all the staff are super friendly! I had a nice chat with 小钟 and the manager even brewed me some locally grown tea, it was truly an unforgettable experience!

This hotel is located in the Ronghu Scenic Area in the city center. The ancient South Gate and Ronghu are right outside the door. The surrounding transportation is convenient. I slept soundly all night. The hotel is right by the Ronghu Lake. When you open the window, you can see the quaint ancient South Gate building and the lush banyan tree. In the morning, you can see the aunts practicing Tai Chi by the lake, and through the window, you can see the boat slowly passing by the lake. The strong Guilin life atmosphere and historical charm. The room is consistent with the picture. The room furnishings are mostly made of logs. It feels spacious and grand as soon as you enter. The decoration style is simple and elegant with great charm. Various facilities are neatly placed. The room is separated into dry and wet areas. It is clean and hygienic without worrying about water droplets splashing. The transportation is also super convenient. It is very close to popular attractions such as Elephant Trunk Hill and East and West Lanes. You can get there by taking a taxi at the starting price, or you can take a walk along Ronghu Lake to relax. I also want to praise the hotel's butler service. From the front desk registration to the itinerary planning after check-in, they are patient and meticulous. They also thoughtfully prepared Guilin travel guides and special snack recommendations. It is simply a travel assistant!

The hotel enjoys a prime location with convenient transportation and parking. It's close to Liu Sanjie Grand View Garden, Xishan Park, and Guilin Rongshan Lake Scenic Area, all within walking distance. The hotel boasts a spacious and bright lobby, elegantly appointed guest rooms, and comprehensive amenities. The hotel's staff are warm and welcoming, and the breakfast menu is diverse and nutritious. With its affordable price, the hotel is a top choice for both self-drive and group tours.

The location is excellent. It takes only five minutes to walk to the East-West Lane and about twenty minutes to walk to the Xiangbishan Scenic Area. There are many coffee shops around, but not many places to eat. It is convenient to take a taxi. Hygiene: Needs to be improved. After checking in, I found a mineral water bottle high in the room. It should be that the cleaning staff did not find it. When we extended our stay the next day, the mineral water bottle was still there. Apart from this, the bedding and room hygiene are acceptable. Environment: A newly opened hotel with a good environment. We paid to upgrade to a room along the river, with a great view and lush greenery. Service: The service is very good, and the front desk service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The breakfast is average, but the window view is also great.

My stay at the Guilin Young Hotel was truly disappointing. While the front desk service was certainly of a high standard, the hotel's seemingly sophisticated design proved to be its biggest flaw. Entering the room, the supposedly ”space-efficient” design actually betrayed a cramped interior. While each item was strategically placed, the overall feeling of oppression and the cramped space proved difficult to escape. The bathroom design was even more problematic. The designer installed a large iron door within the limited space, but failed to adequately plan the toilet area. The protruding platform behind the toilet prevented the lid from fully lifting. During use, the lid constantly pressed against my back, as if being ”bitten” by the toilet, creating a truly unpleasant experience. Furthermore, in their pursuit of unique design, the hotel's layout presented numerous safety hazards, making collisions a real risk. The elevator also presented serious operational issues. While waiting for the elevator, the car repeatedly ascended and descended over ten times without stopping. When I reported this to the front desk, the response was, ”I see people going up and down.” It was only after manually operating the elevator upwards that I was finally able to board. This situation was truly puzzling. I arrived at the restaurant at 7 a.m., hoping to start my day off right, but the eerie atmosphere instantly ruined it. Ethereal music echoed through the restaurant, accompanied by the sounds of children playing and women screaming. In the dim light and drizzling rain, it felt like a ghost town. After asking the waiter to turn off the lights, I was able to enjoy breakfast in peace. The food was quite good. The unique design I had hoped for at the Young Hotel ultimately became the key factor that detracted from my experience. This experience made me realize that if a design is not practical and comfortable, no matter how novel and unique it is, it will struggle to gain recognition.

The hotel environment is very good. It is incredible to be able to live in MixC at this price. You can go out to eat, drink, buy things and watch movies. It is also very quiet and the value for money is very high.
