Guilin Xiufeng District 3-star Hotels

This was the best hotel so far in China and we had great ones before too. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room with view on mountains and lake was magical, especially the tea drinking area where we did our own little tea ceremony. The hotel provided 2 teas for free to try, which was so kind. The owner’s dog was the cutest thing, we took her to our room to play with her. :-) the breakfast and lunch were delicious. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming and even the level of English spoken was better than anywhere else in China. Hopefully I‘ll be back one day!

When I first arrived I was quite disappointed that my room didn't look much at all like the photos on the listing. My one recommendation is that this is updated so that people have appropriate expectations... However, I could not help but enjoy my stay here. Overall the hotel felt exceptionally good value, laundry was done for me and I had access to a scooter. Breakfast tea and coffee all included as well. Xiaoming is also a fantastic and attentive host, who seems to look after all his guests well.

A homestay that is very suitable for a quiet and restful, the room is simple, clean and comfortable, the most important thing is that the service and atmosphere are very good, the first surprise comes from the book on the door shelf, choose the book taste online; Then the front desk lady asked if she wanted to eat Chinese or Western breakfast the next day. When her brain said ”all”, haha, she was actually satisfied, so she had a Western breakfast + a copy of hand + two cups of coffee configuration, um, as the big stomach king, I finished both. In addition, there are many foreign guests in the store, and I accidentally looked at a foreign lady. I told her ”hello” and she told me ”hello”. Haha, in short, it was very comfortable.

The location is fantastic, next to lakes, surrounded by mountains. The hotel is very cozy, Michelle is a wonderful host, the food was really delicious, thanks to her and her family. She also helped us organizing our trip to the rice terraces. I wish we stayed more days in her hotel.

My first visit to Guilin, and this hotel left a fantastic impression. Upon arrival, they had an available room category and kindly upgraded us for free. The room was spotless, and we had a very comfortable sleep. We also enjoyed having a tea set to brew our own tea. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and always greeted us proactively. The lobby provided thoughtful amenities like complimentary chilled and warm bottled water, and a coffee machine. A significant bonus was the downstairs laundry room, complete with automatic dryers, which was incredibly convenient for refreshing our clothes during our travels. Its location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Guilin.

I booked this hotel because it was recommended by a YouTuber. For the price I paid, it exceeded all my expectations. The location is great — not too far from Guilin Bei Railway Station and there is a Pedestrian Street near the hotel with lots of eateries. For some unknown reason, I had difficulty charging my mobile phone and power bank using my international adaptor when I had no problem at all while in Guangzhou. I told the front desk and they lent me their own China charger. Staff members were always friendly and helpful. Although I will not visit Guilin again, I will definitely recommend this hotel to solo or Free and Easy travellers.

The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel is ideally located, very close to the scenic spots. As Guilin's tourist attractions are all relatively close to each other, staying here was incredibly convenient for exploring! Plus, the small garden on the seventh floor was wonderfully cool in the evenings.

Very good experience. The only problem I had with the room is that it smelt a bit like smoke, even thought it was a non-smoking room (it had an ashtray, though). And no window to open for fresh air. Other than that, everything was very good.

The highlight of our two-day, one-night stay in Guilin was staying at Ruyuan Meisu. We chose Reed Flute Cave to show our children the caves. This B&B is located just a 10-meter walk across from Guobin Cave. Guilin's city center is easily accessible, and I was glad I didn't stay in the bustling, noisy, cramped, and chaotic commercial area. Ruyuan B&B offers a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle of Guilin's landscape. The interior decor, amenities, and amenities are all high-end, including L'Occitane toiletries and smart controls. The entire B&B is imbued with a sense of design, with a breathtaking view of the landscape from every window. Besides being conveniently located near the Reed Flute Scenic Area, it's also a popular Instagram-worthy spot. The views from the room and cafe are fantastic, allowing for endless photo opportunities without having to crowd outside. Our room was on the second floor, separated from the first and third floors, and was well-insulated and quiet, making for a wonderful sleep. Even standing outside during the scorching summer heat left us sweating, so we opted for a room upgrade. The children enjoyed a soak in the bathtub, enjoying the breathtaking views of Guilin's natural beauty. The B&B is nestled against the mountain, and the housekeeper service is attentive. Staying here allows you to visit the park, play in the water, admire the Guilin landscape, hike, visit Reed Flute Cave, and check in with influencers. It was truly the most comfortable experience and arrangement of this trip. This is an absolutely fantastic B&B. I booked three days and it wasn't enough. It completely changed my impression of B&Bs being less than clean. The room was incredibly clean, spacious, and bright, with all the amenities and comfortable bedding. It was a perfect way to unwind after a day of fun. The view from the window was stunning, and in the evening, I could even enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace, gazing at the moon and the lake. It was truly relaxing. The location is also excellent, convenient for everything, yet a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The nights were peaceful, and the service was warm and attentive, making it feel like home. Later on, we went to Yangshuo, and I regretted not staying two more days. I rarely write such a long review; I'm truly satisfied. I hope to recommend it to others.
