Location fantastic service exceeded expectations clean rooms 3 things of mention as I was at front of site road traffic was loud, limited car parking and restaurant prices at the high end pricing for the size of meal, meals were very tasty

My advice, do not stay here in July. The hotel allows the nearby teenage english students to stay, and they cause a lot of chaos and are unsupervised most of the time. (I am a teacher, little discipline) Unfortunately, this makes it feel more like a youth hostel, than a hotel. Second, is the noise, lots of construction work up until 10pm and some all night long, lucky the room's AC is so loud but without it you can't sleep. Third, be prepared for every single time you walk down into the lobby, sales people will pounce on you trying to sell condos. There should be no sales people within the hotel at all! The pool and beach are amazing and the customer service is very good, but not as good as Boracay. But, at times the atmosphere is rowdy and not peaceful. Lastly, the stock of the pool bar and beach bar is pretty poor, never has what you actually want, and it is overpriced. (food and drink) Would I stay again? No. Is it value for money? I guess so. I would pay a bit more to stay in a better resort closer to the beach.

Overall, our stay was great. The room was clean and conveniently located near all the places we wanted to visit, such as Mactan Shrine, Cebu Yacht Club, and more. We’ll definitely come back again or perhaps try Belmont Hotel, since it’s a sister company. Thank you, Savoy Hotel Newtown, for the wonderful 5-night stay!

It gets too crowded especially during the buffet breakfast but at least they refill the food quite fast with great options. Love that they provide complimentary birthday greetings upon request. A lot of activities to choose from, entertainment at night with a fire dance as the highlight and pool options too. Place is indeed a 5 star experience.

We arrived at 2:00 AM and wanted a place to stay near the airport. This is about as close as you can get. We were hoping to walk from the international terminal to the hotel but it didn't look walkable when we arrived so we had to call a taxi to take us the 400m. Overall we had a positive experience. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was decent.

We stayed at Bluewater Maribago as a family with two little boys (2 years and 2 months, and 5 months old), right after a long journey from Germany—and it was exactly what we needed. We originally booked 3 nights but extended to 4 because it was just the perfect place to adjust to the climate and recover. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly family-friendly. The pools were a big hit with the kids, and while we didn’t swim much at the beach, our toddler spent hours happily playing in the sand. That kind of distraction made everything easier for us as parents. The food was outstanding—we had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily at Allegro Restaurant and loved the variety and quality. But what really made this stay special was the staff. The resort’s core value, Amuma (a Bisaya word meaning to pamper or care), isn’t just a slogan—it’s something you feel in every interaction. Big thanks to Joyce and the welcoming team at the Allegro entrance, Jeff and Richell from the juice bar who took great care of us in the afternoons, and especially Carlos at the kinilaw buffet, who we saw more than once step through a potted plant (literally) to help guests at the nearby self-service station. That kind of extra effort and warmth was everywhere. If you’re arriving in Cebu with kids—or just need a peaceful, genuine place to land—this is it. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and truly cared for.

Great Stay at Eloisa Royal Suites! I had a wonderful experience staying at Eloisa Royal Suites in Lapu-Lapu City. The hotel is conveniently close to Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and their free airport shuttle made my arrival and departure super easy. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help. My room was clean, well-equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spotless, with good water pressure and nice toiletries provided. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet—it had a great selection, including a made-to-order egg station. The hotel also has a small pool and a gym, which were nice bonuses. The location is great, with malls and local markets nearby. The only thing to note is that rooms facing the main road can be a bit noisy, so if you’re a light sleeper, I recommend requesting a quieter room. Overall, I highly recommend Eloisa Royal Suites for its convenience, comfort, and excellent service. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean place. Door men and hotel staff were extremely helpful and kind. Girl at check in was hard to communicate with, but got checked in ok. Room was very small, with small window. Food was good but portions changed every order. Breakfast buffet is good if you want cold eggs and typical Philippine selection. Thank God for the toast and watermelon.

I’ve stayed in many five-star hotels around Lapu-Lapu, and unfortunately, this property falls short of that standard. The room was relatively small and underwhelming, especially considering the nightly rate of $280 (around 15,500 pesos). Overall, the resort doesn’t compare favorably to its competitors in the area. Upon arrival, we headed to the pool and asked for towels, only to be told to come back in 30 minutes as they were still drying, not the kind of service you expect from a high-end resort. There were also no poolside activities or amenities for children, making it less suitable for families. If you want to use the children’s play area, there’s an extra charge of 300 pesos per child per hour, and you have to walk all the way back to the check-in counter to pay. Frankly, that felt like a rip-off. Safety-wise, be cautious walking around as there were small puddles on the floor, likely caused by condensation dripping from air-conditioning pipes above, an obvious slip hazard that should be addressed. Also, don't let your young kids near the elevator lobby windows. They are low level and open outwards.  The buffet breakfast was another letdown. The food was presented poorly, served lukewarm, and surprisingly lacked basic breakfast staples like sausage or bacon, something I’ve never encountered before in a hotel of this caliber. Even more concerning was the presence of pet dogs in the dining area during breakfast, which we found off-putting. While the sunset views are beautiful, they’re somewhat marred by the rusting ship hull of visible just offshore, a visual distraction that takes away from the otherwise scenic waterfront. On a brighter note, we had drinks and dinner at the sports bar twice, where the service was excellent and the food enjoyable. However, ordering would be more efficient if they adopted a QR code system instead of relying on guests to find a server. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. For better service, amenities, and overall experience, I’d recommend the Shangri-La or Sheraton, both of which offer a far superior pool, beach area, and level of hospitality. In fact I find Costabella Beach Resort much better services and amenities for a fraction of the price!

Lovely hotel, nice room that was very clean (added bonus for the washing machine in the room!!) Hotel amenities were ok, but not much going on- if your thinking of swimming with whale sharks be prepared for the 4hr drive (well worth it tho, it was incredible!) Food in the hotel was extremely over priced for what it was!Our breakfast was included with our stay, but if it was not good, especially if you were paying the £17 (GBP). There was very little choice, the food displays were always empty and breakfast is advertised as open till 10 but at 9:45 the staff had cleared away the food after helping themselves to the “leftovers” that customers were still paying for!! Beach was nice and pools were very well kept! The staff were super friendly and willing to help- cannot fault the service! The hotel has its own private beach and water sports area which was lovely, however be super careful when swimming in the sea as there’s lots of sea urchins close to the shore! (Maybe the hotel could put warning signs up about this could be very dangerous if not expected?) Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay, but probably wouldn’t come back. The hotel has so much potential but deffo needs work in some areas💕
