It was a perfect hotel stay for families visiting Hakone. The room was spacious for our family of three. Comfortable bed and well kept room amenities. The buffet breakfast and dinner food and drinks were delicious. We love our visit to the Hakone Kowakien Morinoyu which was included with our hotel stay.
The only thing I didn’t like was the checkin procedure. We had to use a machine to checkin instead of going to the checkin counter and have front desk staff processing for us. It was a terrible experience because the machine failed at recognising our passport and it was terribly hard to enter everyone’s details on the touch screen. I should have to do this myself as a guest. Please get rid of the machine check in.

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

The complimentary breakfast was delicious, but it would have been better if they had sausages or meat.
As a hotel, it was very comfortable.
It would have been nice if the air conditioning temperature could be adjusted.
I felt it was a little cold, so I turned it off.

The hotel is a short 1km walk from the local train station.
The onsen uses natural volcanic spring water and is of very high quality. There is a private onsen available if you ask for the key, however the public bath was empty every time I visted.
The room was large, clean, and very relaxing.
The dinner was fancy, but had mild flavours. It was not our favourite meal. I was still hungry afterwards, but there was no more food available. There was free alcohol from 9pm to 10pm, but it was of poor quality.
The staff were always very kind and helpful.

It was snowing when we were there. The condominium block was not as ideal as we had to head over to the main building for the restaurant, onsen, snack bars. The snow made the walk slippery and it was very cold. Other than that little inconvenience, everything else was delightful. Parking is sheltered, room was big and comfortable, free drinks and snacks, good dinner and breakfast, kid-friendly, relaxing onsen.

Room: It has been renovated once. The room is spacious and clean, suitable for families with children.
Location: It is located halfway up the mountain, which is a little inconvenient, but those who are not in a hurry can take the bus. There is a bus stop at the door, which connects to various places, which is also good.
Hotel environment: Very beautiful, the hotel building is very historical, suitable for slow travelers, if you are in a hurry, you can't enjoy its beauty.
Disadvantages: There are not many restaurants around, it is best to go back to the hotel or eat fast food at the 711 outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant is expensive and not delicious (we can't eat it). With a one-year-old child, we can't enjoy Japanese food.
This is the second time I have joined the company. The first time was ten years ago. I will go again when my baby is older.

I've had the pleasure of staying at several high-end hotels, including the Hakone Gora Byakudan. Without a doubt, Byakudan surpasses its competitors in every aspect. The service, facilities, and genuine care for guests are exceptional. I only wish I could have extended my stay. The room was flawlessly clean, and the bed provided a truly restful night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, readily available to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is convenient, offering easy access to local attractions. Additionally, the complimentary car service to nearby destinations such as art museums and the cable station was a thoughtful touch. The Japanese dinner and breakfast were beyond delicious, featuring a diverse array of options. The snacks and wine bar were equally impressive. I particularly enjoyed the massage chair and the delightful ice-cream selection. I wholeheartedly recommend the Hakone Gora Byakudan to anyone visiting the area

Nice historical Ryokan, hospitality is their highlight. Very nice food. Spent some time in their private onsen, it was great. One of the surprise is the Zen room, relaxing environment and I slept on the massage chair simply because it’s too comfortable.
Nice experience overall!

The room hygiene in Japan is quite good. For this trip, I even looked up the local hotel reviews and got them pushed to me. Japanese hotels are reliable.

💛The price is particularly high. This price is worthy of the same hot spring hotel. ✔️The hotel is located on the mountainside. The bus can be directly from the small garden, but it is very expensive. You can choose to do the mountain. Contact the hotel to pick up the money. It is the Mercedes-Benz business car. It is quite convenient to go to the various attractions on the mountain from the hotel. The overall health of the hotel is also the only shortcoming. There is a cigarette on the side of the bedside table. There is hair on the wall. There is a hair in the room. I have a cockroach in this room. But then the cleaning aunt took the pesticide and came over to help me. I finally killed it. enthusiastic ✔️Room room is very standard bed 1.5m wide bed is quite comfortable air conditioning refrigeration is also good sanitary napkins facilities can also be a bath products less hair conditioner and then a small cosmetic mirror women will be less convenient makeup skin care can Arrange ✔️The overall service is really good. We arrived very early. The hotel also helped to stay. It was quite human.

Amazing
GGuest UserChose this place for the private onsen and highly reviewed meals.
Meals are served in the central restaurant, will need to book meal timing for both breakfast and dinner as they serve over two rounds. Chose kaiseki dinner which felt like fine dining too.
The rooms are modern, with the private onsen on rustic balcony facing the forest. The hot onsen water runs continuously into the pool, which made me think it’s really from the mountains.
Do note the hotel is on the middle of a hill, so if driving, be prepared to drive along small windy roads to reach. When leaving, the hotel staff will even help to look out for oncoming cars and direct you to safely drive out of the hotel property onto the main road.

GGuest UserI went to Japan with my son during the Christmas holiday. I was pleasantly surprised to stay at the Hakone Treasure Hotel barhotel. It is definitely a paradise for wine lovers. From the beginning of check in, Champagne has been drinking unlimited amounts. The next day's brunch is the same, and the environment view is very good. Comfortable and comfortable facing the mountain view, The room is quite comfortable, the view is elegant, the soup is very good, the whole hotel is located in the mountains, elegant and exquisite

月月神依琪The location is a bit remote. If you take the tram, you need to walk quite far. It is close to the bus station. There is a small safe at the head of the bed. The bed is a wooden capsule with a wood smell. The public area is good. There is a self-service kitchen with complete tableware and many small appliances. You can make your own coffee, tea and other beverages. There is a public large refrigerator and a small open-air hot spring. The overall cost performance is high

TTrave1. The golf course is very beautiful, drive to see the trees on the mountain are lush emerald green, next time have time to go to experience playing golf, looked at the fees are not expensive, accommodation thousands of yen can experience hours, but recommended to stay more than two nights;
2. The hot spring is a bit small, the old is normal, maybe in the mountains, the hot spring is not the main facility;
3. The room looks out to the green golf course, dinner and breakfast is a Japanese traditional meal, the variety of dishes is relatively simple without any expensive ingredients, but the general Japanese traditional meal is like this;
4. After all, it is in the mountains, suitable for couples or a few friends to talk and relax, family customers especially have smaller children to choose carefully, because after driving up the mountain really will not go out to buy things, must bring everything necessities for children;
Summary: If you are not in a hurry to stay for two nights, if you are in a hurry to change hotels every day, you should not go up the mountain to stay. Although the stadium is beautiful, you will not have much time to go out and walk.

GGuest UserThe building was originally 2 stories high but was designed to be divided into 4 floors with a staircase in the middle. The basement is tatami, the first floor is the bathroom, the second floor is the kitchen and dining room, and the third floor is the bedroom with 2 single beds. The decoration design is comfortable and the kitchen utensils are complete, but it is inconvenient for the elderly and children to keep going up and down.

MMon CotacoThe location was about a km away from Kowakidani Sta. Not really far but the recommended path by Google Maps (at least to me) was along the mountain highway. It was rainy and i was walking alone at night. I sometimes pass by vehicles on the road 🥲
I was late for checkin (past 22:00) so I had my Japanese friend call the hostel. They said it's okay to come until 23:00 as the hostel cafe is also open until then.
The bedspace in the mixed dorm was spacious enough and the ladder for the upper beds was sturdy. *The restroom in the main hostel is better maintained than the one in the annex.
The hostel restaurant is very nice and they let me stay for a bit after checkout as the rain was pouring that day. The owner's dog is named Rum 🥹

GGuest UserThe location is very close to the big platform station, it is not easy to find on the small road, the interior style is very Japanese, and the receptionist is also very enthusiastic. There are two public baths and the house is a bit old.
