Yoshiike Ryokan ★★★★
"Stunning Historical Garden: The absolute highlight is their massive traditional Japanese garden. It feels like walking through a living postcard, with beautiful ponds, lush trees, and streaming water. To our surprise, we were greeted by fireflies at night while strolling after dinner. The natural hot spring water here is top-tier. We get almost 24-hour access to the relaxing indoor and outdoor baths (rotenburo). Soaking under the stars after a long day of exploring was pure bliss. Prime Location: It is incredibly convenient—just a flat, easy 7-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. No need to haul heavy bags up steep hills. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. The rooms are beautifully kept, offering that authentic, peaceful ryokan vibe. Traditional Japanese Breakfast. Dinner is a multi-course, traditional Kaiseki feast served right in the restaurant, which beautifully overlooks the illuminated evening garden."
Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu ★★★★★
"The hot spring was very comfortable, and the environment was excellent."

"Good location, river view, breakfast and dinner is good, can enjoy drink 24 hours, any snack and ic cream, also yakult Very comfortable stay here.very recomended Hotel"
Hotel Indigo HAKONE GORA by IHG ★★★★★
"My main reason for choosing Hotel Indigo was the expectation that a foreign hotel would offer more diverse food options than traditional Japanese cuisine, and that the rooms would be more modern. Both expectations were met, which was great. However, the hotel's location is quite remote, making it difficult to walk to Gora Station. Thankfully, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the station from 10 AM to 6 PM. If you plan to take the shuttle to Odawara, remember to book it in advance at the front desk. There's also an unsightly warehouse-like structure next to the hotel, which is a bit of a letdown considering how secluded the location already is – it really spoils the view. Around 90% of the guests here seem to be Western tourists, likely in groups, as the breakfast area was almost full before 8 AM. For dinner, we decided to eat near Gora Station and had some excellent unagi (eel) rice. A taxi back to the hotel cost us 700 yen. For first-time visitors to Hakone, I'd recommend staying in Hakone-Yumoto instead, as it's livelier, offers more dining choices, and has more convenient transportation. Also, the hotel's public bath is mixed-gender, requiring you to bring your own swimwear or borrow special attire from the front desk, which I found a bit inconvenient, so I didn't end up using it."
Hakone Kowakien Miyama-furin ★★★★
"Best place to stay if you want to go to Hakone loop. It is only 4 mins walk to Yunnesun."
Gora-Onsen Setsugetsuka-Bettei Suiun ★★★★★
"The room was clean, and the meals were varied. Plus, there were drinks, alcohol, and snacks available in the common area."
Hakone Kowakien Mikawaya Ryokan ★★★★
"This hotel has a very traditional Japanese style. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with luggage. Just be sure to communicate with the hotel in advance about your meals, as there aren't many dining options nearby."
Setsugetsuka ★★★★
"Fantastic location next to Gora Station with easy access to Gotemba premium outlets via bus& Cablecar to Lake Ashi. Kaiseki breakfast and dinners were thoughtfully planned and different each meal. So many free snacks and food at different timings. Private outdoor onsen was wonderful as well. Note: you have to queue for any of the 3 huts. Only thing we didn’t like was having to shower outdoors and the dated toto bidet. Other than that, perfect 2 night stay at Hakone."
Hotel Clad ★★★★
"It was the rainy season, so we couldn't see Mount Fuji, but the hotel is very new, and the room is quite spacious for Japan, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. It's located behind the outlet mall; if you're coming from Tokyo by bus, you'll need to walk through the outlet and take an elevator up. It's super convenient if you're driving as it connects directly to the parking lot. Check-out is a bit early at 10 AM, and the private onsen needs to be booked and paid for separately."

"The room we booked for triple bed is very huge and spacious. It is very well maintained and the staff is ready to welcome you right from their entrance. The check-in and check-out process are smooth n seamless. We booked the room with mount Fuji view and we were very luckily to get to see it on the day we checked out. The viewing room at level 12 offers a clearer view of Mount Fuji. The hotel is also very near to the bus stop where you can take the free shuttle bus to Gotemba premium outlet or highway bus to Tokyo. Overall it is a very pleasant stay and we will definitely choose it again if we ever come back to Gotemba."

"The worst hot spring hotel I've ever stayed in Japan!!! And it's the most expensive. It should be the worst hotel recommended by Tirp. What kind of collusion is there? The equipment and facilities are old and aging, the room is filled with a strong pungent musty smell, which makes people cough violently and difficult to fall asleep. No one answered the hotel contact number marked on Tirp! It is also very inconvenient to get to the hotel. There is no courtesy at all when picking up and dropping off guests, and the attitude is completely indifferent. It is a world of difference from the hotel I stayed in the day before. Except for the food that is still online, I will give this hotel the title of the worst. In short, the hotel that Tirp strongly recommends on the App is extremely unfriendly and bad behavior."
Gora Hanaougi Madoka No Mori
"From the start til the end of our stay it was wonderful. The hotel is small and cozy and that makes it quiet and special. The rooms were big and has a private Onsen. They also have a public Onsen to share with other guest and there wasn't anyone when I went in. The meals provided was wonderful although some of it maybe be acquired taste. We also had it in a private room. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Only thing is trying to get someone to help to us call the private shuttle while we are out was tricky. They provide free shuttle to/fro open air museum, Gora stn and kowakien bus stop. Would highly recommend this place if you like a small ryokan that provides kaiseki style meals with amazing hospitality."

"The hotel room was very comfortable, and the service was attentive. The breakfast and dinner buffets were also excellent. Highly recommended!"
Yumoto Fujiya Hotel
"This hotel is super close to the station, and the service was really good. The izakaya on the second floor was surprisingly delicious. The room was great, and the onsen was very relaxing. We stayed here the night before leaving Hakone."
Hotel Nanpuso
"The dinner and breakfast were great, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. At first, we got lost while finding the entrance, but a helpful staff member made an effort to lead us all the way to the reception area. The rooms are big and spacious but a little warmer than expected for my wife. It is just nice for me during autumn. The room we had was in a corner, and it had a great view!"
HAKONE YUYADO ZEN
"Very quiet and nice room with very good services. Will come next time."
Hotel Okuyumoto
"Fabulous hotel in hakone Great private hot springs bath in room Very spacious room Fabulous food. B Breaks"
Tenseien Odawara Station Annex
"The hotel is incredibly convenient, located directly within the Odawara Station complex, although it can be a little tricky to find for first-timers. From Odawara Station's East Exit (stay within the station building), take a short escalator down. You'll spot the Lusca mall on your right. Upon entering, Marugame Udon is on your left, and Seijo Ishii supermarket is directly opposite. Walk past Marugame, turn left to exit the mall, then turn right onto a glass-enclosed walkway outside. Continue straight, passing a parking lot on your right. Keep going until you see the hotel's directional sign (like the one in the last photo). Take the escalator up to the 4th floor, where you'll find the hotel lobby. We stayed in a Double B room, which was relatively spacious and well-suited for a family of three. This particular room type, which we only saw listed on Ctrip, was excellent. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation but no bathtub. However, the public bath on the 10th floor was very comfortable (remember to bring your own towel!). There's also a foot bath on the 14th floor offering scenic views. If daily cleaning is desired, simply place the 'clean my room' sign outside your door, and fresh towels and yukata will be provided. Even if you forget the sign, they thoughtfully leave fresh yukata and towels at your door – a really nice touch. I appreciated this considerate service that respected our privacy. The bedding was comfortable, and individually packaged facial cleanser, makeup remover, and body lotion were replenished daily. Odawara is a wonderful city, and this hotel's location makes it extremely convenient for visiting Hakone, Atami, and Kamakura. I would love to visit again and would definitely choose this hotel for my next stay. The only minor downsides were the slight train noise (though I still slept very well during my three-night stay) and the slightly stiff toothbrush provided."
Hakonenomori Okada
"How do I put it? This hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. Pros: The triple room with breakfast and dinner (dinner menus didn't repeat over two nights) was a third cheaper than other places. The hot springs were also good, with four outdoor pools. Cons: The location is inconvenient, right at the highest point in the Hakone-Yumoto area. The shuttle bus runs late in the morning and early in the evening, which doesn't really match most people's itineraries. Taking a taxi is probably the most sensible option, at 900 yen one way, plus a 400 yen surcharge for calling one. Of course, walking down the hill from the hotel to the station without luggage isn't too strenuous, taking about 20 minutes. As for facilities, there's no complimentary bottled water in the room, and no washing machine. And the service... after dinner, a waiter accidentally spilled a bowl of soup all over my pants while clearing the table. They handed me a dry towel, and that was pretty much it. No further apologies or assistance."

"Very good dinner n breakfast n onsen"
Merveille Hakone Gora
"The room was very clean and tidy. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, and the view from the bath was lovely. Bath towels were provided specifically for the open-air bath, and there was even a convenient place outside to put towels, which made it easy to use. I just wish the bathtub was a little bit bigger. The food was absolutely delicious. It was served as a course meal, brought right to our table. We also had eel, which was incredibly tasty. Breakfast was a buffet. The bread was so good, I had seconds! There is no smoking area."
Hakone Gora Byakudan
"Absolutely amazing stay at the property. From the very beginning customer service was great. The onsen in room was just what we needed. Dinner was great and breakfast was plentiful, left both feeling completely satisfied. Drink service and snacks after dinner was a nice touch as well. Will absolutely recommend to friends and family and will come back in the future"
FUJI OUTLET Natural Water HOTEL
"Older hotel with authentic yellow hot spring water!"
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu
"This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Japan. The price was reasonable, and the citizen's center where we had our conference was right downstairs. It's excellent! The subway station is only about 200 meters away, which is very convenient. The best part is the room is spacious, and you can see Mount Fuji right from the window. The breakfast is a full buffet and very rich. They even provide bath powder, toiletries, and for lotions and toners, it's Sekkisei! The service attitude was also great."
Hakone Yutowa
"Excellent range of buffet items for dinner and breakfast although variety does not change too much from day to day. The outdoor foot spa and warm fireplace were a delight on a cold wintry day. Rooms were spacious and comfortable."
