Best Hotels in Hakone, Japan

It is a very suitable hotel for anyone to stay together. This time I chose two days and one night including breakfast and dinner. Hotel staff are very friendly The restaurant is a buffet style with many styles and is well worth a try There are public hot spring facilities and saunas. If you need a private hot spring, you can make a reservation in advance for extra money. The cost is not too expensive (remember to buy a bottle of milk after soaking in the hot spring) There is also a hot spring park nearby for fun, but I was too busy to visit it this time. There are many places to check in, and friends who like to check in and take photos are highly recommended to stay in this hotel.

We used the Fuji Hakone pass and will have to stay one night in the Hakone area. We picked this hotel because it’s right next to the Gora station and later on we also found out that the bus stop to take the bus to Fuji area was just next to the hotel. They helped us to keep our luggage before we went further to Owakudani and Lake Ashi. Food is fantastic. We have dinner and breakfast at the common dining area. They didn’t offer free drinks like other onsen hotels might do. We stayed at the room with outdoor bath and found out later before the trip that the water is not real onsen water but regular water. However, with the location, this is unbeatable.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is just a few minutes walk to the Hakone shrine and tori gate on the water and about 15 minutes walk to the town by the water. From the town you can catch the pirate ship or ferry to the base of the cable car and head up the mountain to other attractions. The hotel grounds are lovely and full of pathways lined with Rhododendrum. The rooms are a great size and all have a view of the lake. I stayed on the third floor and in my opinion rooms on the third and fourth floors have a better view but the second floor rooms have a balcony and the first floor rooms have patios. The hotel provides yukatas and all toiletries you might need. The hotel onsen is small but nice and also has an outdoor bath. The hotel spa is very relaxing with a variety of services. I did not have dinner at the property but breakfast was very good. Every staff member I encountered was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. My only complaint is the mattress was very firm and I prefer some thing softer but that is a personal preference.

Stayed for one night and enjoyed the onse. The onse was man and woman separate. Further there is the possibility for a private onse. Make sure to ask for a private onse with a good view out.

If you are visiting Japan for more than a few days you must have a Ryokan on your bucket list – here we were greeted with a traditional tes reception and departed with memorable gifts – our room was full on Japanese down to the futons and the miniature table and chairs – there was an open veranda with a private onsen (built for two hot spring pool) – great for early morning wakeup and relaxation before sleeping – the food was divine – the table spread with many dishes of delicious offerings – I can’t say enough here – the Ryokan was established 140 years ago and served travellers on the dusty road to Tokyo – there are still some of the original rooms preserved – a large public onsen (study the etiquette before taking a dip) and a sizable garden to wander around and work off the breakfast – we were there for four nights in an area full of places to go and see and I regret we did not use some of the time to just relax and enjoy the experience – as you can see we loved this place – if there was a six I would gladly give it.

The Japanese rooms are almost to small to house two people with luggage, mattresses very thin, no Aircon available (only air clean). Room was run-down, the entire hotel is in dire need for make-over. It surely has seen better days. Therefore, it is overpriced. On the plus side: Food was good and so was the Onsen. But one would find similar Onsen standards nearby, in fact, next door. The nicely sized swimming pool closes at 5pm, can’t tell it’s quality. Massage service available, good service.

Very satisfying with lots of freebies ( free ice-cream from 2pm to 11pm to choose from, free coffee n GREAT ENVIRONMENT. It is MOST recommended Onsen Hotel.

I stayed at tiger no Yu for the first time. Despite Saturday nights, it was a reasonable price setting, so it was a high reputation, but I didn't expect much. However, dinner was a happy miscalculation. 3 appetizers are also good. sesame dallet and ponvinegar are not hard and the taste of meat is not *. Meat is also peach meat? I added ponvinegar and asagi, but my wife didn't notice it, so it may be my temper. The dessert vanilla ice cream is thick and the mix berry sauce is handmade? Breakfast is cute in appearance, but it seems that I arranged almost the thing that was made, and there is not much handmade feeling. The hot tofu and shake were warm. I think the customer service attitude is good, but I feel the shortage of personnel at meals. I think it is different if I use it on weekdays because this day is full. I think it is not possible to use this inn at this accommodation because I reduced the labor cost and the service. It is helpful to be able to stay at this content at this price in Sengokuhara.

This time, there was only a vacancy, so it became a Japanese room on the mountain side, but not only the atmosphere but also the smell. Is it mold? Is it a cigarette stained? It was a non-smoking room. However, when you open the Shoji, the view is surprisingly good, and the fir in front of you is red and beautiful. The voice of impression from the family. However, when the Shoji is seen nearby, the pier is full of dust. Of course, the wood is moldy. I opened and closed the doors so that I could not show my family.By the way, there was a curtain, but it was scary and I couldn't close it. I didn't touch it because I was going to fall in dust or mites. Also, there are small holes in the walls of the room. And the futon is laid from the beginning in the fight against infectious diseases, but this should never be turned over.If you look at the back of the futon with wet stains, you may not be able to sleep in the ordinary person. This was also a hidden thing to avoid showing to my family, and it seems like a ridiculous place to write it up, but it is not actually up to that point. All of the above is true, but with our small child, full of care for the children who are violent. It was not particularly concerned except for me who was allergic. There were also many elements to cancel the first thing in the room. The children were always a big squeeze, such as rental karaoke, rental bath, birthday surprise. The meal is not bad, and it is rough but feels comfortable service. I think the staff are hospitality. It is a mysterious hotel, and there are many guests during the holiday, but it is hardly suitable for people because the building is large. In the public bath, it is alone and honest. I recommend a rental bath here. The rental bath was renovated, clean and the hot spring was the best. I feel happy with the hot springs I put in with my family. During my stay for one night ３ times, I was able to use some of the 4 at any time because it was empty and I was able to use it without dissatisfaction. When you look at the other people's photos, the western rooms look beautiful, so the Japanese rooms are unrenovated. If you have a budget, you would like to renovate it, but it may be used for student training camps in the off-season. It was a mysterious and attractive hotel that I wanted to change the room and repeat. The room is not beautiful but I don't feel malicious there. It's cheap after all. If you take the bus, you must go to Tianyou. Although it is a 600-meter walk from Xiaochong Garden, the slope is really steep. The hotel has a bus to and from Gora. The earliest bus is 9:23 and the last bus back is 16:45. Get off and go through the tunnel to Gora Station. The room is large, but there are caterpillars hanging on the ceiling, and insects similar to bees are also seen. A large spider is seen in the bathhouse. There are many bugs in the mountains and it is unavoidable, but you still need to pay attention to cleaning. The front desk taught me how to heat hot water in the bathroom, but it didn't work. If you go to the bathhouse to soak in the hot springs, the hot water in the room doesn't matter. There are bathhouses in the east and west buildings, and the usage hours are different. There are no people every time I go there, and it feels good to reserve the baths.
