At dawn, the rising crimson sun softly tints the snow-covered slopes of Mount Fuji with hues of golden red. Its reflection dances upon the shimmering surface of Lake Yamanaka, creating the breathtaking sight known as the “Double Red Fuji”—a miraculous moment when heaven and earth mirror each other in radiant harmony. It is a masterpiece crafted wholly by nature, inspiring awe with its quiet beauty.
Our hotel is located just over ten meters from the lakeshore. Within a few seconds’ walk, you can reach the water’s edge and experience these magnificent, fleeting scenes with ease.
Fujikokusai Kaikan Hotel is a villa-style retreat situated just across Lakeside Avenue, moments away from Lake Yamanaka. All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, a smart TV, hair dryer, and electric kettle. The bathroom area features a separate toilet, bath, and vanity. Warm interiors combining carpet and tatami offer the comfort of both Japanese and Western styles.
"This hotel is located right by Lake Yamanaka. You can see Mount Fuji across the street from the entrance, and the hotel also offers bicycle rentals. It's about a 10-minute bike ride to Hirano Beach.
Getting here is convenient; you can take a direct bus from Tokyo to Yamanakako Asahigaoka Station, and the hotel owner even provides pick-up service from nearby stations around Lake Yamanaka.
The hotel has an old-fashioned inn feel, but it's very clean, and the rooms are incredibly spacious! It was very quiet at night, so I slept really well overall. The breakfast was also excellent – what could be better than a hot breakfast after watching the sunrise on a cold morning?"
