Nice stay . We booked traditional Japanese room, and slept on futon beds. Pillows were uncomfortable though . Our room fee included dinner and breakfast which was very nice. Dinner was tad too cold for our taste ( too many cold dishes) and breakfast was too “fishy”. Although all food was fresh and the service was impeccable. Hotel also has its own onsen , and pretty Japanese garden .

When I booked this room again, I hesitated again and again because I read other guests' comments and was hesitant because of the inconvenient transportation. In the end, I stayed in this hot spring hotel on the mountain in Hakone. I also contacted the hotel again and again before going, and the hotel responded to me very well, which is very good. Now I want to say that our trip was really smooth this time. It was the best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Japan. First of all, I was not affected by going up and down the mountain. We got a taxi smoothly throughout the whole journey. Remember to take their community shuttle bus, or just call a taxi. It is impossible to walk up, and your legs will be crippled. Other customers said that they might be refused. We didn't encounter this. The two people we met were both a bit older, very dedicated and very polite. When we left the next day, we asked the hotel to call a taxi for us. The first time, because it was early, when they called for us, they said that we should call before departure, and there would definitely be a car. As expected, we called five minutes before departure, and the taxi came up soon. There was nothing to say, the attitude was very good, (400 yen for reserved cars) and only 900 yen for unreserved cars. An old waiter in the hotel was very kind and amiable. Because this hotel is on the mountain, the scenery is really good. It was refreshing to see the scenery in the morning. Speaking of their dinner, we had a Japanese set meal. The male waiter in the restaurant was a young man. He specially took care of us and said that we had a pork hot pot like a root this time, which was very delicious. He said that if the rice was not enough, we could have unlimited refills. We jokingly asked him if the miso soup could be refilled unlimitedly? He smiled very hard and said that it could not be refilled! The expression is super cute, and their breakfast the next day is a buffet, with a lot of things. I remember their hot spring eggs, which I like very much, and their fried fish from the small field. They have special notes on where the fish comes from. The small udon noodles are also delicious. You must go to Hakone, and you must go to the hot spring hotel. The hot spring at night is also invincible. It is open-air and very comfortable. There are two beds in the room, one tatami mat, and two tatami mats are no problem. Their hotel is relatively old, but it is really clean and the service is really good. In short, this trip did not step on thunder, perfect! 1. There is no Chinese service at the front desk, Japanese or English is required 2. The hot spring is in the hotel across the road, very clean and beautiful

Very satisfied, the room is small but clean. Magically, this was the best night's sleep during our 8-night trip to Japan. I still took a hot spring bath every morning and evening, and went to Shuimingzhuang across the street. Because I lived in Shuimingzhuang 10 years ago, I found that the transportation is very convenient and it is within walking distance from the station. The noodles at this yakiniku restaurant next door are actually very delicious.

Hotel was literally 2 mins walk from Hakone Yumoto station. Check in was easy. Room was clean. Public bathe was nice. Some parts of the hotel was under maintenance while we were there. The breakfast was pretty good as well. They've got western food items, eastern items and japanese items.

around 15 mins walk from the train station but there are so many shops while on the way to the hotel. The hotel offer free snacks, drinks and free ramen. Visitors can grab as many as possible and are all free. The hotel room is clean and spacious and I like the hot tube bar within the room. The private hot spring and the public hot spring are all great. The portion for the dinner and breakfast are big. Especially I like the sukiyaki dinner.

The hotel will only arrange to pick you up at the station after 3pm. When you arrive at 2:10pm, you are asked to wait or go by yourself. The soundproofing is very poor, and you can hear the conversation next door very clearly. The hot spring is ok, there are indoor and outdoor areas, but there are male guests upstairs outdoors, and you can hear their conversation very clearly. The room facilities are old and the bathroom is very small (you can take a shower in the hot spring area without going back to the room). The most important thing is that they didn't see you off when you left, although it's only a 5-minute drive away. If you have a lot of luggage, be careful. The hotel is on a steep hillside, and it's very inconvenient to pull luggage. It's really speechless that they only pick you up and don't send you off, and the price is not cheap 2K+

Absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly, and the onsen is clean and well-maintained. There are 3 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools, along with a steam room and sauna, which make for a relaxing experience. The facility is open for both day trips and overnight stays, but staying overnight is much better for a more chill and leisurely time. There’s a massage chair available, but it requires payment. Breakfast is also delicious and definitely worth it. The only downside is the location—it’s not very convenient and requires some walking. If you’re traveling light, it’s manageable. They do have a payable shuttle bus, but the timing isn’t great. Walking can be pleasant if the weather’s nice, or you can opt for a taxi. Overall, I’ll definitely book this place again for the relaxing atmosphere!

Fantastic hotel with amazing amenities. Breakfast and dinner buffets had great varieties and were delicious. Onsens, private room and public, were clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and extremely professional and helpful. Will definitely stay here again in future visits to Hakone

There is a shuttle bus from Hakone Yumoto Station to the hotel. You can book it at the bus information center. There is a Chinese service lady there, very enthusiastic! We took a taxi because we wanted to get to the hotel early, 300 Yen, and called a shuttle bus back to the hotel the next day, which was very convenient! The hotel was unexpectedly good, and we decisively upgraded the balcony room with private bath, which was so cozy! Breakfast and dinner are very appetizing, light but extremely delicious. Open your taste buds completely, savor carefully, and slowly savor the original taste of the food. Paired with a glass of apple beer, it's so comfortable. There is a private bath on the top floor. It is recommended to go if the weather is good. Hakone at night is light and the stars in the sky are blinking, and the body and mind are completely relaxed. The hotel staff are very professional, especially the restaurant service staff. After staying for two days, the same person was arranged to follow and provide services. I originally thought of going again during the cherry blossom season, but it seems that all the rooms with private baths are booked. A hotel worth a second visit!

This ryokan is perfect for people who want to experience ryokan for the first time but want something cheaper within Hakone area. Situated on the main road with buses to Owakudani and train to Odawara. I'd recommend catching the bus from Odawara to this ryokan since the walking trail from the closest station to this place is hilly and has lots of stairs. Main road is not very luggage friendly so pack very light when you're staying here. This place has very nice rooms with view to the river behind it. The view is spectacular when the entire river area is covered in red autumn leaves. Dinner and breakfast are very delicious, you will be served a range of traditional food from a la carte to dessert. You can also book your private indoor onsen FOR FREE. The ryokan also has an open outdoor onsen across the bridge for 3000 JPY. The only downside of this place is the main road is very busy as it's the only way for people to drive from Odawara to Owakudani. So local people take this road to get to Owakudani. Buses from this place will not stop at there in the weekend. Your best plan is to go to Lake Ashi first and take the opposite route to Owakudani instead. Plan your trip in this area very carefully because a bus trip that would take 10-15 minutes will end up taking you 1 to 1.5 hours.
