Salmon River Country Inn ★★★
"Upstairs hotel, downstairs restaurant, very German-style rural hotel, recommended."
The Barrington Hotel ★★★
"Only issue here is the parking. You have to park too far away and hard to get back to hotel driving as mostly one way streets. Other than that all good."
Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Halifax-Dartmouth ★★★★
"Lovely experience all around. Friendly staff and very helpful! Pool was amazing! Heated and uses salt in place of chlorine so better on the skin and eyes! Waterside was a hit as well! Will definitely be returning!"
Atlantica Hotel Halifax ★★★★
"Great location. Nice ambience. It’s very close to my work site, around 2 minute walk with just one block away. Very nice reception and staff who would answer to your requests at their best. One thing I’d say is the cleaning service, where some of members are not the best at being proactive when I put my sign on."
Hfx Airport Hotel ★★★
"This hotel is badly need of an update. The beds are terrible, the rooms are poorly lit, the carpet is worn and smells bad, and the bathrooms feel like 1980. It's close to the airport but that is the only redeeming feature."
Comfort Inn Dartmouth ★★
"Stayed for a week. Overall it was good."
Delta Hotels Halifax Downtown ★★★
"Only after checking in did we realize that most of the hotel rooms were under renovation. There was a strong smell of paint, and we barely saw any other guests during our stay. It didn't feel like we were in a hotel, yet the price wasn't cheap. The heating in the room was also problematic; it felt even colder when on, like cold air was blowing, which made us all catch colds. The front desk staff were very helpful though, providing extra blankets for each of us. Due to the renovations, we couldn't enjoy any of the hotel's facilities. On the bright side, the hotel is very close to the beach, and the views there are fantastic."
Sandman Signature Dartmouth Hotel & Suites ★★★
"High end hotel comparable to Marriot. Very comfortable. Very clean. Huge room with high ceiling. Denny's is open 24/7. Bus stop to go to Bridge Terminal or shopping is a 3 minute walk. Deducted a star for inadequate sound insolation. Footsteps & voices can be heard from the unit above us."
Stardust Motel - Timberlea ★★
"Our family of three was traveling to Halifax and finally booked this motel. Very nice quiet environment with a beautiful view of the river. The service staff was very nice. I will go again if I have the chance."

Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel
"I was very happy with our stay at best western chocolate lake. The hotel is old but service was good and breakfast was really best part!"
Chateau Bedford, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
"Great stay! Room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Free breakfast was nice but sometimes there were limited options (eg. they stopped restocking hash brown an hour and a half before breakfast ended). Location was ok, but did not to us because we had a car."
Moxy Halifax Downtown
"Great service attitude from all of the staffs. Location was quite near to Downtown Halifax and the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site."
Inn on the Lake
"A little tired and outdated, restaurant staff excellent but not enough of them"
Clifty Cove Motel
"This hotel is near Peggy’s cove, but I don’t recommend you stay here because it’s too expensive and there is just one restaurant and one store around this motel. You can drive to Halifax for more choices."
Surfside Inn
The Sutton Place Hotel Halifax
"Good, very good, the hotel is clean and comfortable!"
The Hollis Halifax - a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton
"I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the area and access nearby attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The only downside was the morning noise on weekdays due to construction happening across the street, roughly 20 meters away. It didn’t ruin the stay, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs or check if the work is still ongoing. Would recommend for the location and service — just be mindful of the potential noise if you're planning a weekday visit."
