My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The place is exceptionally clean and comfortable. I loved the fact that we could sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful
surroundings. It was a treat to be greeted by a young deer on the front lawn to start the day. The breakfast was exceptional .
This hotel is near Peggy’s cove, but I don’t recommend you stay here because it’s too expensive and there is just one restaurant and one store around this motel.
You can drive to Halifax for more choices.
Everything was great. The only suggestion would be install a mirror or something at the end of the laneway to see oncoming traffic to pull out and cross the road safely.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Room has its own atmosphere, building as well, which is taking us back in time. Would definitely recommend it. Also a good value for money.
It was unclear to me when I booked online that a “physical” credit card was required to use for a damage deposit.
*I had loaded my credit card to my wallet on my iPhone & left the physical card @ home.
(I don’t carry a purse, so this was a great option for me).
The motels policy was credit card to use as a damage deposit…NO exceptions 😱
I had offered to use cash, but, was told no 😱😱
It just so happened that I had a credit card tucked away in my glove box or I would have been out of luck…would not have been allowed to check in & would have lost $400 on the room rental.
SO…beware travellers!!
