This hotel is literally ACROSS West Lake. I am still in AWE with the beautiful and memorable experience we had staying in this BEAUTIFUL AND TRANQUIL place. I am attaching photos of the grounds. Just walking around the compound early morning or after dinner is a treat! If I am not mistaken, there are 6 2-story high buildings in the compound that are used as hotel rooms and convention halls or meeting rooms and breakfast place. There was also one building in the compound where Mao Zedong drafted the first constitution! We stayed at the second floor of Building #2. From what I learned, this place is government-run and was renovated and used during the ASEAN summit in Hangzhou where foreign dignitaries stayed. They have a very fast and simple one-man check in counter. Very few English speaking staff, but everyone was very nice and room service was very fast. The room is good for 2pax with a kingsize bed but we opted to pay for an extra bed as there were 3 of us staying in the room. The beddings, towels and toiletries were all high quality and with Dyson haridryer! The scent of their shampoo and bodywash were also very nice. I like that their toilet and shower are separate cubicles which makes the morning rush faster. Toilet is smart toilet - which is a big plus as most hotel toilets do not have bidet! The breakfast buffet that is part of the room package was FANTASTIC! There were 2 options - one is an inhouse buffet breakfast and other one is at 1913, a Michelin-mentioned restaurant which is just beside the compound. We opted to dine at the 1913 on our first morning and thought the food was great with a lot of selection and quality options. Personally, I think the inhouse option was a better breakfast - better than a 5-star hotel breakfast! Since the compound is big, a free shuttle is available to take us to our chosen breakfast place or anywhere in the compound. On our second day, we had to catch a train and had to leave earlier than the scheduled breakfast time, upon request the hotel thoughtfully and generously packed for us a takeaway food which we conveniently ate during our train ride. One of the highlights. of our stay here was the free costume rental and 1-hour photography session that was bundled with our room cost. My 82 year old mom had a grand time! BONUS: the hotel provided a free wheelchair for the duration of our stay which we could use inside and outside of the compound! My mom was able to enjoy the scenery of West Lake because of that! The only downside was despite being a non-smoking room, I could still smell faint scent of cigarette. Overall, this place is SUPERBLY RECOMMENDED!

Had a wonderful stay! The room was beautifully decorated and well-appointed, offering both comfort and style. The guest laundry facilities were a convenient bonus. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of both Chinese and Western options. The hill behind the hotel provided a stunning view of West Lake. The bus stops right at the entrance provided easy access to Lingyin Temple and the city centre.

It is a very good place to stay. Perfect location, elegant facilities, excellent service team.

Beautiful and ambient, the front desk lady 小童 in building #5 was super helpful with my left belongings. However the sound proof in the hotel was poor. Large selection of breakfast buffet.

The place is very beautiful and quiet. The breakfast is delicious and overwhelmingly in varieties. It is the best breakfast we ever had during traveling in Hangzhou.

West Lake Villa is located on Beishan Street, West Lake, Hangzhou. Standing at the gate, you can see the West Lake, which is very close. There is a "Xinxin Hotel" bus stop at the door of the hotel, and the transportation is very convenient. When we walked into the gate, a young man helped us arrange a shuttle bus. The beautiful driver on the shuttle bus took us to Building No. 3 according to the name we booked at the time. Building No. 3 has a total height of two floors and is very quiet. The welcoming butler is very warm and thoughtful. When we checked in, the room was already equipped with air conditioning, lighting, and welcome fruits, which made people feel safe, quiet, comfortable and warm. West Lake Villa is also the place where Mao Zedong drafted the first constitution of the People's Republic of China. In short, West Lake Villa is a hotel that reflects a heavy culture and history everywhere, which complements the beautiful West Lake...

The package I bought was upgraded to a deluxe room on the 3rd floor. It was very comfortable and spacious. Don't be too satisfied. We had breakfast at Xinxin Hotel next door for two days. The food was not as good, but it was Michelin after all. The main point was to experience the morning view of West Lake and satisfy the nostalgic feelings. The room cards of the two families were used together, which made it convenient to visit Xinxin Hotel. It was really wonderful.

The hotel environment is very good, the location is excellent, the breakfast is very rich, you can also go to Xinxin Hotel for breakfast, which is also delicious. The dinner buffet was average value for money. The children's playground is clean and fun, comparable to those parent-child hotels. The travel photography service in Ctrip's package is good, and the photographer Xiao Guo is very enthusiastic The room service response is also relatively timely. The female housekeeper wearing glasses in Building 2 is very enthusiastic and professional. Here is a suggestion for the hotel. The gaps in the smart toilet lid are prone to dirt and grime accumulation, so cleaning should be done more frequently. The bedside tables and desk were slightly dusty. There was a male employee on the shuttle bus who was a bit rude. He seemed reluctant to see us off from his words, even though he greeted us with a smile.
