Amira Hotel Hanoi
4.6/533 Reviews
Hoan Kiem District
The environment is very good. It is located in Sansixing Street. I was attracted by the appearance and chose to live in it. It was very lively outside and quiet inside. The breakfast was also very rich. I was very satisfied! You can stay here again next time you go to Hanoi!
Lenid Hotel Tho Nhuom

The location of the hotel is okay, and the service attitude is okay, but I think it's a bit strange. My colleague arrived at the hotel first and did not provide BOOKING and passport information. The front desk directly called her name and gave her the room card. After we checked in for one night, when we returned to the hotel the next night, the boy at the front desk asked us to have our passports copied. Before having breakfast, I gave my room card to the man at the front desk to check out, and he said it was OK. I said I had ordered laundry service, and he told me to have breakfast first and do the accounting later. Then after breakfast, I went to the front desk, and he told me again. I said, are you sure you don’t have to pay? What did he say to pay? I asked about the money for washing clothes, and he said wait, and then after confirming it again and again, someone took the bill. The hotel is okay overall, but I feel that there are some problems with the internal management. If I am not an honest person, and the front desk told me twice that it was okay, if I did not ask for the cleaning bill any time, then they would not receive the money. . I also asked what to do in that situation? The front desk told me that it was their front desk and customer service responsibility. It would be better if I feel that internal management and training need to be strengthened. The breakfast is average and can be enough to fill you up. It is not particularly rich or not rich. But the taste of the powder is a bit strange and not very delicious. It was okay when I checked in for the first time, but this time it was obviously not as delicious as before. The texture of the noodles and the taste of the soup were both wrong. Hope it improves.
Alisa Hotel & Spa
4.1/532 Reviews
Hoan Kiem District
Room is a decent size for the price but the AC is rubbish, water marks and weird stains on the ceiling and wall, wallpaper peeling off and the shower wasn’t great. Generally didn’t seem very clean, I found someone else’s hair tie on the bedside table and glitter in the bathroom. The sheets smelt very perfumed which made it seem like they hadn’t been cleaned and smelt of the previous person who slept in them. Staff were friendly but a bit pushy trying to sell spa treatments and despite putting do not disturb on the door we were awoken with consistent knocking and the phone ringing by housekeeping trying to get in. Overall not that bad for the money, location is great but we were disappointed.
Hanoi Brilliant Hotel & Spa
4.4/583 Reviews
Hoan Kiem District
I stayed in Hanoi for a few days at this Brilliant Hotel and Spa, it was incredible! The location is perfect; it's right in the middle of the old town, it is convenient to get anywhere in the city and I was at the heart of everything I wanted to see. I had family staying across the street in another hotel, and while theirs was more expensive, the Brilliant Hotel was much better. The service from the lobbyists was friendly, helpful, and insightful -- not at all looking to scam or take money from me (unlike other locations I visited during my trip, or even from my family's experience). They immediately offered me a physical map of great places to travel in the area, and communicated with me in a personal and friendly manner. I told them what I was interested in seeing, they helped highlight it on the map. Google maps isn't the best option in Vietnam, and having a physical map actually helped 'save' me from being lost more than once on my trip. I thought that was the end of that, but at night they left a personal card on my door, always remembered my name as I walked in and out, and even remembered where I went and what I said about it, making conversation whenever I wanted, even at breakfast! The breakfast was quite good, besides the normal food they can cook you omelets, pho, pancakes, etc. The service here is unlike anywhere else I've stayed, the lobbyists Fiona and Lucy in particular were extremely friendly, approachable, understanding, and helpful. 10/10 I recommend this hotel, and I definitely will be going back here when I travel through Hanoi again!
The Light Hotel

Hoan Kiem District
Yes, close to the old town, it is very convenient to eat and wash your feet. Not far from the embassies of various countries. There are many foreigners on the street. It is not very quiet. It can be heard outside in the room.
Silk Queen Hotel
4/555 Reviews
Hoan Kiem District
I've stayed at numerous hotels in Hanoi and Silk Queen kept my winning streak alive. Silk Queen is ideally located (Old Quarter), a walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's and all the action. The room was large and well appointed (wonderful bath/shower), good food and best of all--a refreshing, roof-top pool. The staff was helpful and spoke English. A great stay in the heart of Hanoi...
