Best Hotels in Harz, Germany

4 months after our last tour early February we were now to Pinksten back in the chanzenhouse. The greeting at the arrival in the morning was more than friendly. Check Inn has already been performed, although the rooms are ready for reference only from 15.00 clock. In the evening we have obtained our beautiful and clean room with view of the castle. Some positive changes have been made. Congratulations! Breakfast was very tasty and rich again every day. Permanent checks by the staff and the cook whether all the food was sufficiently stored. Every day during the holidays, another buffet was offered. We had registered for dinner on Saturday and Sunday evening. All was abundant and everything was very delicious prepared. Also the after-food was very delicious. Thank you very much to the chef and his team. Overall we say it was a nice ping-pong weekend. Unfortunately too short. Thank you all. The Regiohotel is located directly at the train station. Unfortunately, this means that you can occasionally hear the passing trains. Even if people on the hall in front of the room are talking about passing, you can hear it in the room. The functional equipment of the room 201 was clean, which cannot be fully claimed by the carpet floors in the hall that came into the years. Aside from the feather, the enlargement mirror and towels, a water cooker with tea, coffee and water was also available in the room. The staff were always friendly. Breakfast was included in the price - sufficient selection. There are many parking places on site - free. The wlan worked incessantly. Unfortunately, a later check-in personally after 21:00 was no longer possible, but only via the key via the key box with code. The hotel is probably no longer taking cash since the pandemic, so microberies must also be paid with cards. For room cleaning you need to throw a ”room card” into a box at the reception. In addition to the price, you need to pay a further 3 Euros per day/night, which is no problem if you know it in advance.

I stayed with my spouse in this great hotel from 10 to 12 August 2023. It is a large building called Castle in the centre of Quedlinburg, with numerous rooms and several large breakfast rooms on the first floor, along with a courtyard inside. The city was very close to the city and the city was very close to the city. Breakfast, served by buffet, was very rich, both salty and sweet food. You could also order express coffee or cappuccino directly to the staff. Traveling on a bike, it was very comfortable to park the bike in the inner courtyard without any other. The building is historical, as almost all the centre of the beautiful Quedlinburg, but many (if not all rooms) are in modern enlargement, in a non-predictable architecture. Another disappointing point was that the hotel's restaurant was closed for staff shortages. A problem found somewhat in Germany this summer, the search for a good open restaurant with a place available in Quedlinburg has not always been easy.

We chose the Best Western because of the location in Quedlinburg. Short paths to the old town and so we could stop the car. The concept with the historic buildings has very well been enjoyed. In the indoor courtyard there was still a detacher in principle - very nice. We had a room in the old memory on the street - sleeping with open window was not possible due to the noise development on the street. In the closed window, the noise was tolerable. In total, the room was large enough; perhaps a little too dark, but okay. With breakfast buffet, everything was OK for us too - friendly staff also all right. We would select the hotel again at any time.
