Light Hostel Hualien Reviews

Really clean. Like all bunk bed cubicles in Taiwan, very spacious. It does have thin bars and not wider type steps to top bunk. It’s cheaper than most hostels in Taiwan and was clean and spacious. Equipped kitchen. I was very happy. Finally proper pricing for hostels. Although my others have Been exceptional so far. Their service hours are 9 to 6. But if you prepayed I don’t see trouble. I had none. But be aware, to find your self check in stuff there’s a little bird box as soon as you enter. It’s on the right. Be aware. Kind staff. Extremely close to bus and train station, just a stone’s throw away.

It’s my second time to stay here. I joke with my friends that it’s my home in Hualien. Although it’s not the cheapest accommodation of the same type, I personally think it’s a very good value for money.

Although the room is small, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. I will stay here again if I come to Hualien again. There is no staff after 6pm. There was a problem with the TV signal on the first night, and there was no one to ask. Other than that, everything is good, close to Hualien Station

Wonderful experience. The staff is very kind and professional especially Clara and Michael. Iris likes to joke and comment about guests thinking they don't understand Chinese. Some foreigners may not speak Chinese well but they can understand. In general, staff are very hardworking with daily tasks. I am happy I found the Light Hostel for my relaxing slow time in Hualien.

The pillows are just too soft 🤭, the toilet is very clean, and it’s very close to the station. I will come here next time 🙂

We spent the night here because of a typhoon and it was super cozy!

I decided to stay at this B&B because of the typhoon. It's very clean inside. There's a big TV in the lounge, water, kitchen supplies, and a freezer for everyone.

This is my first time staying in a youth hostel like this. The room is nice. Three beds pushed together are very large and very comfortable. However, there is no staff after 6:00 pm. Guests are very conscious and will not disturb other people. The public space is large and very close to the train station. But the only drawback is that there are not many places to eat next to the hotel, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to a place to eat. We ordered Uber delivery and the bento was delicious.

The environment is simple and clean, the public spaces are kept tidy, and the comfort level is not inferior to that of a hotel. Although the double room is not big, the overall configuration is very square, and the layout is not strange because of its small size. The TV is amazing, and you can watch YouTube and Netflix. A youth hostel with high CP value!

Good morning

I have stayed here many times and slept very comfortably. Everything is great. It would be perfect if there were coin-operated washing machines and dryers and a place to dry multiple pieces of clothes.

The rooms are so tidy, the aminities are so comfy, and wish to come back here again

重點離火車站很近 下雨天走過去蠻快的 而且蠻貼心的會優先提供下舖(六人房)， 而且洗浴的地方很大間(是跟其他住宿不同的地方)而且沒有在房間裡面，就不會聽到其他人洗澡的聲音。而且一樓的大廳很大，座位也很舒適。唯獨只是外面汽車交通比較大聲，如果容易被外面汽車聲音驚醒的(記得要關個窗戶)。
