Shunli Chengzhang Hostel (South gate of the scenic area)

The room looks new and the extra large double was very comfortable. The host provided very personalised service by arranging transport to huangshan and advising the route to take. Food was good and affordable too.

We had an absolutely delightful experience during our stay at this Airbnb! The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. As cat lover myself, I was thrilled to be accompanied by their three adorable cats, adding an extra layer of charm to our stay. The room was clean, neatly organized, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast prepared by the owner. What made our departure even more special was the thoughtful gesture of packing breakfast for us on the day we had to catch an early train. The convenience of having access to drivers associated with the Airbnb made exploring nearby townships a breeze. This thoughtful amenity significantly added to the overall positive experience of our stay. Should I find myself back in Huangshan, there is no doubt that I would choose to stay here again. This Airbnb is a top choice for anyone visiting the area. Highly recommended!

This property is very well maintained and rooms are clean, and very well-appointed with the needed comforts. We truly applaud the attention-to-detail and effort that the husband-and-wife owners have put into this bed-and-breakfast property. We arrived as it started to get colder and truly appreciated the warm heating in the rooms. Fantastic warm showers. An amazing bonus amenity was the electric toilets! We are also thankful to the lady boss for highlighting the first Huangshan Peak snow-fall on our last day of stay! Upon her encouragement we decided an impromptu climb up Huangshan a second time. We were glad we did! The snow scenery at Huangshan peak was AMAZING. THANK YOU!

The guesthouse was in a good location, about 10 minutes drive from Tangkou where the entrance to Huangshan is. The owners of the guesthouse were really friendly and helpful in arranging cars to various locations. The breakfast was also delicious. The room could have done with an extra clean and some painting as there were specks of paint falling from the ceiling

Excellent hosts. Great home cooking food. It's like having host to do all the things you need help to do. Very enjoyable personal and family experience. Our taxi driver said we should live in Tangkou more convenient. This location much better and its only 10mins drive.

The hostel is located in a slightly remote area which is a distance away from the main tourist spots/centre in Tangkou. Even so, the hotel environment feels very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast is simple and tasty, and the rooms are large and feel luxurious. The road leading up to the hostel is very narrow so drivers may have some issues with parking/navigation.

Very cozy, friendly owner, really good to relax and explore huangshan and ancient villages.

Beautiful place close to the Yellow Mountains! Very peaceful, at night you can hear the waterfall, in the morning you will be raised by birds singing.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay! Loved the peace and quiet, the comfortable room, the delicious food, and most of all, the warmth of the people. The owners and the Ah Yi took such good care of us, and we felt so at home. We even made friends with the resident cats! :) It was so sad to leave, but we hope to be back soon! We highly recommend Shunli Chengzhang if you want to visit Huangshan and the ancient villages of Anhui.
