Great little hotel close to the center of the city. It is also close to karaoke bars that keep on going to the wee hours of the morning.
Staff were all very nice and attentive.

First, I chose a room with a bathtub to relieve the fatigue of my trip, but the water pressure was weak and the bathtub plug was broken, so only about 10cm of water was filled. I asked the staff and they said it would fill up, but it didn't work. Next, the handle of the bathtub door came off. I was tired, so I asked the staff to fix it. The only good thing about this hotel was that the male staff member was friendly and had a smile on his face. Also, the breakfast was delicious. We had to wait quite a while to check out, and although I hoped nothing would happen, I was nervous because I had booked a bus. I lost my jacket, etc. It was a very bad experience.

Orchid Hotel is very good hotel with perfect service, great location and excellent personnel. Lending library contains the franconia crime novel "Phi" from the famous book writer Helmut Vorndran, living near Bamberg in Germany. Stay here is highly recommended.

Our stay at the Orchid Hotel was literally a highlight of our trip in Vietnam. The reception staff got in touch prior our arrival to make sure that they get all the details possible for our arrival. After an overnight train we arrived earlier and the staff welcomed us with open arms, offered a cold drink and a coffee. We were able to check in earlier even though the hotel seemed to be full. The room was beautiful, clean, bed comfy and not to mention there were some lovely treats set out for us. The staff booked us train and tour tickets with full itinerary information. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty food available. On our last day we decided to go on Dmz tour before jumping on overnight train to Hanoi. Unfortunately the bus broke down and we missed our train. The staff at the Orchid Hotel waited on us to make sure we come back safe after they received the call from the tour operator regarding broken van. They booked us in for another night, offered drinks and food, and booked us the first flight next morning so we do not miss our flight. We literally did not have to do anything and their reassurance and professionalism was exceptional. Special thanks to Emma and Kaity to make our stay an amazing experience and hopefully one day we will be back!!!
