"The hotel does not provide daily cleaning. Cleaning is done,once in three days. As a result, we had to clear our own trash everyday because the bins provided were simply too small and insufficient for accumulating three days worth of trash. This hotel is not advisable for traveller stay more than 2 days or long stay There are only two washing machines in the hotel. Both machines are constantly in use (70 to 80 percent) most of the time. We had to wait very a few hours, at times waking up in the middle of the night just to secure a slot to use the washing machine. Rooms are modern but not very large. The only consolation is the hotel’s relatively close proximity to the shopping street."

"I really enjoyed stay here. I got out of the Otaru JR station and the hotel is, across the road. Room was clean and functionable. I was on 9th floor and my window view was a big bonus. There is onsen but i missed it due to lack of time. Hotel is close to canal and shops and i have to mention the Triangle Market., where i had one of my best meal - grilled halibut. Check out my window view. This is a good base to explore the famous shops and eat good seafood."

The surrounding food is very cost-effective The Linyou Morning Market is nearby, and the cost-effectiveness is better than the Triangle Market. There, you can eat a fresh and plump crab for 2,000 yen, cooked on the spot, fresh and delicious. The food in the homestay cafeteria is also very rich and delicious! "The hotel is 1 km from Otaru Station. Although it is newly opened, the business is very poor and the service is average. After checking in, there were hair on the bathroom floor and the garbage used by the previous guests was still there. It was disgusting. The hotel facilities are not detailed. The windows are too small and too low, and I hit my head several times."

"Cozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!"

"Hotel is near the all touristy places like the canal. So most things were within walking distance. We completed most things in like 2-3 hours, so in fact there wasn't a real need to stay over a night in Otaru. By evening there wasn't anything much to do so we just stayed in the room as it was raining as well. After checking out, we drove to the next destination. "I had a pleasant one night stay at Hotel Sonia. The hotel's location was excellent, situated in front of the Otaru Canal and within walking distance to shopping and dining areas, as well as the train station (though snowy conditions made it a bit tricky). While the hotel lobby looked modern, the room interior felt outdated. Note that late check-out comes with a 2000 JPY per hour fee, so plan accordingly. Overall, it was a decent one-night stay."

"The view is unbeatable. The location is not in the Otaru city area, about 500 meters above the aquarium, which requires uphill walking. There are buses and shuttle buses that need to be reserved in front of Otaru JR Station (3:05 pm). Dinner is French fusion, breakfast is a semi-buffet set, and there is a private hot spring with sea view in the room. It is cost-effective."
