"Love their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles.
The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather.
The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing.
Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they were quite good. After checking in and resting up, we hiked the Great Wall after 3 PM. We didn't take the cable car at all. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Zhuanduokou, and we took our time enjoying the scenery. The path down from Houchuankou has stairs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Jinshanling!"

"We had an exceptional stay at this hotel and would return without hesitation. The host and her daughter were remarkably gracious and attentive, and generously upgraded us from a standard room to a stunning suite. The entire space was thoughtfully designed — elegant, comfortable, and immaculately maintained. The beds were impressively spacious and plush, and the bathroom felt almost futuristic in both design and functionality.
The location is equally compelling, with the Great Wall just nearby — an unforgettable sight, especially at sunrise. "It was a lovely place and people. We talked through translator but there was no problem at all. The room was amazing. I am not sure where I can find that kind of room with this price but here. I ate a dinner and it was great both price and taste. Next day I climbed up again and asked to prepare my lunch. It was wonderful to eat such a great food with the great view on the great wall. I 100% recommend this hotel to stay and taste foods. Almost forgot. I bought apples and pears. Great."

"We stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters."

"I loved my stay here. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to assist you. The rooms are lovely. It is super close to and has a view of the Great Wall (both 金山岭Jinshanling and 司马台Simatai). Breakfast was included. You can also see the Great Wall from the resort. There is a great hiking trail on the property and hot springs as well as other activities. Any issues we had were resolved promptly and professionally. We had so much fun here and I hope to come back someday. We took the train from Beijing North to Gubeiko and then a taxi the rest of the way. We sadly got scammed by the driver, but the hotel helped arrange a much more reasonable taxi for us when we left. I recommend contacting them should you need to be picked up or dropped off."

"We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists."

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . .

"We hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!"

GGuest User24 hours without her husband and children to escape Beijing's limit. A room without a guide. I didn't expect such a big surprise. From butler service to room facilities, the environment is very good. The room is too big and the terrace is also very big, which adds 200 percent of the space and comfort to our empty trip. Every angle of the room is a painting. The beauty is not allowed to take a few more photos. Why do you decorate it so much? The first choice for the next empty trip!

Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, big tatami mats everyone can lie down and chat together.
The service of the hotel is particularly good. Every staff member is very warm and gentle. Special thanks to Miss Gong Mengmeng who received us. Check in and add our WeChat, help us arrange the shuttle bus, provide tour and dining information, welcome fruit, supplement the materials in the room, Send delicious winter chestnuts, let friends not forget, really is meticulous warm care.
It rained on the first night, but fortunately there was a bowl of noodles in the hotel late at night, so that we would not be hungry.
The hot spring soup is next to the hotel front desk, the environment is very good, very clean and very comfortable.

SSidouOn April 30, we just randomly found a restaurant to stay at night, but it was unexpected. The boss and his wife were very nice. They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking.

AAnonymous UserJinshanling is hailed as the most beautiful section of the Great Wall, bar none, and the Navy Farmhouse is also the closest farmhouse to the Great Wall, bar none. Breakfast is ¥10 per person and delicious. Departing at 5:00 AM to watch the sunrise at the Great Wall won't be too late. The location is right next to the ticket gate.

GGuest UserThe rooms were clean and hygienic, the owner was warm and attentive, the food was delicious and I really liked it, and parking was convenient. I stayed for six days during my trip to Jinshanling, and the owner always made time to pick me up and drop me off at the ticket gate every day. It's a farmhouse inn with good value for money. I was particularly impressed by their braised fish, magnolia sprout pancakes, stir-fried pork with mushrooms, stir-fried gourd strips with pork, handmade chive and egg dumplings, and homemade pancakes.

VVivie PanI have known the owner of this restaurant for many years. When I come to Jinshanling Great Wall, I always go to the Cui Family Courtyard for lunch. The proprietress Xiaoli is quick at work and the food is delicious. The whole family is very enthusiastic. This is the first time to stay at his house. The room is clean and comfortable. Not on the roadside, very quiet at night. It’s a great choice to watch the sunrise and sunset at Jinshanling Great Wall. The boss Er Ming is a photography enthusiast and a big anchor, and he can accompany him to climb the Great Wall.

1. There is a simple breakfast, although there are not many things, but there is no problem with eating, noodles, rolls, porridge, boiled eggs and a few small pickles, saving time than going out to find a restaurant to eat.
2, there are both slippers and traditional foam slippers, the latter bath is very convenient.
3. The front desk staff is warm and responsive.
Problems found:
1, after the bath, the water can not be drained immediately, the next day there is still water on the bathroom floor.
2. The water heater is connected to the large shower head. This shower head has a large amount of water. The hot water of the water heater cannot be supplied in the later stage, and the water becomes cold. So it is recommended to replace it with a small nozzle.
The room I live in is on the innermost side of the corridor. Under the window is Xingang East Street where the hotel gathers. It is equivalent to going to the room to go to most of the street. Haha, so the room price is cheap?
The disposable toiletries provided by the hotel are useless except for small soaps (the last picture), and the dental appliances and shampoo that you bring with you. In order to protect the environment, it is recommended that you use as little as possible disposable items. This kind of items are discarded once they are used up, which is not friendly to the environment.
