"I was so surprised to book such a great hotel! My son, who studies in the UK, said this would be considered a luxury hotel there. It has its own private entrance and a very spacious bathroom. The Lake District gets quite cold in the evenings during summer, but the heating worked perfectly. You can see sheep on the hillside right outside, and it's not a far walk to the town. Sitting in the courtyard, you can enjoy the scenery. The owner is really nice and responds very promptly when you need something. The instructions provided via WeChat were very detailed. A truly satisfying stay!"

"We stayed overnight just before Christmas as we were attending the funeral of a close friend. Despite the circumstances we had a a great overnight stay, with a very comfortable room and a lovely breakfast the next morning. Joanna our host was very friendly and attentive making sure we had everything we needed and provided us with tips on the local places to eat out for dinner. We hope to return to Ambleside in 2026 under better circumstances and would have no hesitation in staying here again."

"The room is very comfortable, the big bathtub can be bathed, the room has fruit, and you can ask the front desk for milk. The breakfast is very rich and the mushrooms inside are especially delicious. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the bus stops 555, 599 and Ambleside. From the windermere train station, you can easily reach by bus. The hotel is a bit far from the town centre of Windermere, but it can also be reached on foot. The hotel is a sister hotel with the low wood bay. Guests with waterhead can go to the low wood bay for sports facilities, see the hotel's instructions. It is worth mentioning that we originally stayed for three nights, but only booked for two nights of accommodation, for the convenience of the luggage at the front desk for one night, the next morning to come."

"The room was clean, no obvious dust, the bathroom was small but clean. The quilt cover was stained, the room was not soundproofed, and you could hear the sound of cars passing by. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the food in the hotel restaurant was also good, and the hotel was located by the lake, which was convenient for enjoying the beautiful scenery."

"Traditional small English hotel, downstairs is the bar. English breakfast is provided. The house is a wooden structure ➕ later remodeled. The whole hotel is full of paintings and photography about the lake area. The reception is friendly. But note that it is a 20-minute walk from Ambleside."

This is basically a family hotel operated by an Indian, not a chain hotel, and it really stepped on the pit. Our family of three, a child, said that the room was small and could not be accommodated. We temporarily charged 1,200 RMB for two nights, but we said that there was no room. We changed the room for the second night. Why do we have to charge two nights? There is no such problem in other hotel chains. Small family hotels will have this kind of thing, Trip.com should not be listed as such hotels. Compared with the price, if you can book a chain hotel, you can book a chain hotel. The facilities are also very general, that is, the mountain cabin, small and trendy. In terms of location, it is very close to the Windermere Railway Station in a straight line, but this is a barrier. In fact, you can't get through, you have to have enough time for the ferry, and you have to reverse the bus, and the traffic is very inconvenient. We came out of the train station and took a taxi around the lake for 30 minutes to spend 400 RMB.
