GGuest UserThis family-run guesthouse is clean and cozy. They're very talkative, so if you speak English well, you'll have a great time chatting with them. They also provide breakfast cards where you can choose your breakfast for the next day. The food is plentiful and delicious. Just indicate your breakfast time and enjoy it.

AAnonymous UserI have stayed in so many hotels in the UK this time, the only one that stepped on the pit. This is basically a family hotel operated by an Indian, not a chain hotel, and it really stepped on the pit. Our family of three, a child, said that the room was small and could not be accommodated. We temporarily charged 1,200 RMB for two nights, but we said that there was no room. We changed the room for the second night. Why do we have to charge two nights? There is no such problem in other hotel chains. Small family hotels will have this kind of thing, Trip.com should not be listed as such hotels. Compared with the price, if you can book a chain hotel, you can book a chain hotel. The facilities are also very general, that is, the mountain cabin, small and trendy. In terms of location, it is very close to the Windermere Railway Station in a straight line, but this is a barrier. In fact, you can't get through, you have to have enough time for the ferry, and you have to reverse the bus, and the traffic is very inconvenient. We came out of the train station and took a taxi around the lake for 30 minutes to spend 400 RMB.

GGuest UserA traditional British inn with a bar downstairs. English breakfast is provided. The house is a wooden structure➕renovated later. Paintings and photographs of the Lake District are hung throughout the hotel. The receptionist was friendly. But note that Ambleside is a 20-minute walk away.

I highly recommend this hostel, it’s a last-minute booking, but it turned out such a nice stay. The hostel is just by the lake, with misty view right outside of the window in the morning. Close to bus station, transportation convenient. What’s more, my roommates are amazing, three girls from London, one from the US.
