The staff are courteous, and there's a great scooter rental service right on-site. A 7-Eleven is directly across the street. "Moonstone is an absolute delight. The layout of the place is amazing. Cleanliness is impeccable. Very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The natural scenery and ocean views are serene. A group of playful monkeys visit the area often as well. I did not get a chance to meet the owner but a couple I met there said he was an amazingly nice guy. I've been visiting Koh phangan frequently and just discovered Moonstone. I'm certainly booking this place again. I would recommend anyone to visit Moonstone. You won't regret it. Moonstone is definitely one of the best places I stayed on the island"

"The location is about a ten-minute walk from the pier, but there are steep slopes up and down, which can be quite tiring when dragging luggage. However, the environment is lovely. The sea view bungalows offer direct ocean views from your private balcony, and you can also watch the sunset from the reefs, which is very pleasant and peaceful. It's not noisy at all, perfect for those who enjoy a quiet getaway. Just be aware that they don't provide water or toothbrushes, and the quality of the shower gel isn't great."

"Our stay in Phangan Bayshore was amazing, stuff was so polite and kind. Every moment of our trip in this resort was outstanding (room 401). Very clean, they provide all facilities that needed, beach is very clean (especially near hotel), pool and restaurant Sand and Tan are so beautiful. By the way, the breakfast was really good with special menu. For sure, we will come back!"

"Staff were nice and helpful, pool was decent sized. Only issue we had was our room the bathroom has no window or vent so moudly ceiling, they do not clean your room whilst you are there and there was some cracks beneath the window which meant where we left food in packaging there was ants all over the room. May be our fault but with it being a hotel leaving food in your room is not unusual. Overall happy with our stay but improvements could be made"

"On arrival I was placed in the wrong room and it was noisy next to the pool with music pumping till 12:30 and then at 8am I was woken to loud music again at the pool restaurant and noisy families - it was terrible to lose one night of sleep and to be placed in the wrong room . I had booked the deluxe room and they put me into a small noisy  room at the busy noisy pool restaurant area. I went to reception in the morning and said it was the wrong room and it was too noisy . They said they would put me in the correct room at 12.00. I was out in the correct room but it didn’t have tea or shower gel and I had to ask for it . The restaurant was a disaster and I asked to add on breakfast as the lady said I could pay extra and add on daily breakfast but when I asked to do this at the restaurant they said I couldn’t . It was weird and disappointing. They brought the wrong breakfast and I didn’t get the fruit that should come with my breakfast board. I ordered a cappuccino and it didn’t come . The next day I ordered a cappuccino and they gave me an Americano. The next day they were late bringing my cappuccino so I had to go to the counter and ask twice for it. They also placed someone else’s breakfast on my table . By the time I told them it was cold and they brought it to another table where the poor young boy got a cold late breakfast . In the mornings I was woken early to mass sweeping and chattering loudly outside my room . On checkout they have me another extra bill for 800 baht for a lunch at the restaurant that I never even had as I wasn’t even there that day as I was out the whole day. All in all it was a disaster for the high price that I paid … disappointing to say the least"

"Beautiful, well- kept resort. Great location, close to the main town area. Decent prices and amazing food at the restaurant. NOT for swim enthusiasts! The water is shallow, with sharp rocks and metal debris here and there , especially at low tide .."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. The location is great – you can easily rent a scooter directly from the hotel at a good price. If you prefer walking, it takes about 20 minutes downhill to reach the lively area with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping options. Our villa with sea view was absolutely beautiful and worth it. The view was stunning, the room was very clean, and housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was tasty and had everything you need, even though it wasn’t very varied. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely book it again on our next visit to Koh Tao."
