IANA KWe stayed for 3 nights, which felt like more than enough time before heading to Koh Tao. We had plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and take photos everywhere without the crowds of day-trippers. It truly felt like we were on a deserted island! The room had everything we needed: toiletries, hot water, a fridge, a kettle, tea, and coffee. Housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was included, even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. For breakfast, they bring you a sheet where you mark what you'd like them to prepare (the menu is consistent, but you can choose how your eggs are cooked and your coffee – the coffee seemed to be instant). There are two restaurants on the island: one on the hotel premises where breakfast is served, offering European cuisine. The other is further down, near the 'spit,' and serves Thai food with more reasonable prices; day-trippers often ate there. Prices are higher than on Koh Tao for obvious reasons, as there are no shops. However, there's a free daily shuttle to Koh Tao and back, which is convenient for longer stays. For example, a 0.33L beer on the island costs 120 baht, a mango shake is 150 baht, and dishes start from 300+ baht.

A hotel that captivated us!
A heavenly place – for me, everything about this vacation and hotel was perfect. We stayed in 6 hotels during our trip, and I give this one first place.
Beach
The beach is truly a paradise, the most picturesque on Koh Phangan (we visited all the tourist beaches). The sea is ideal, clear, and calm.
Grounds and Accommodation
The hotel grounds are extensive, like stepping into a jungle. We rented a large two-story house, and when we opened the door, we were amazed by its spaciousness. The hotel is older, but it's meticulously maintained and renovated.
Dining
Breakfasts are varied and delicious, served on a veranda with a beautiful view, which makes mornings especially pleasant.
Activities and Sports
The hotel has a large gym, and regular yoga and stretching classes are held, which helps you completely relax and rejuvenate.
Staff and Service
The staff and service are 5-star+. When we left, I couldn't hold back tears – that's how wonderful and heartfelt it was.
Thank you
My thanks to the management, staff, and everyone involved in creating this little slice of heaven. We grounded ourselves, immersed ourselves in nature, and truly rested.
Until we meet again!

Guest UserBritish solo backpacker, 30 years old.
Very clean hostel/hotel.
Breakfast between 6:30-10am included in stay.
Very quiet hostel no music no party hostel, however just a minor noise from neighbours, they have roosters and chickens which start from 6am till 11am
Has been a problem with my stay due to me having an ear infection from scuba diving and being on antibiotics. But have had spoken to trip.com and have supported my stay and been very helpful. It’s a 20 minute walk to knock out gym and 25 minutes to the PEIR.. 45 minutes to the main *****. It is walkable.
But scooters are 200baht a day. There is a laundromat next door to hotel and two 7- elevens close by. Few good restaurants.
Plus the hostel does a scuba diving course with padi the team and instructors are amazing.
They also have so much happening in the day.
They have beach clean up in the morning.
They have drop off and pick up services to the beach from 1:30-4 and then sunset drop off and pick up from 5:30-7pm every day. You go to a new place every day. It is really cool they also have other activities.
Overall I had a great time meeting people here, but it is very far away. It is clean not a party hostel but just the neighbours roosters and chickens and bonfire are a problem.

Guest UserBans is a well established resort right in the heart of the main town/strip. Located over two sites it has several polls and offers a wide range of rooms/prices. We were located up the hill so was really nice and quiet, but quick a hike to the rooms. Rooms were spacious and well equipped but were getting a bit tired. Air Con wasn’t working well and rooms were very warm. I understand from others around the pool, with was common. The grounds were groomed immaculately and the service was excellent. During the day the Fishbowl offers some tasty and relatively cheap food, overlooking the beach !!
This is a dive resort and almost resembled a factory for diving. Bit too over commercial for my liking, so we booked diving through a quieter dive school. All in all, a lovely resort, wonderful staff and service in some stunning grounds. Would recommend if you are wanting a little luxury.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great, but you need a scooter or car to get around. Scooters can be rented directly at the hotel (a bit more expensive), and there is also a transfer service – the first ride is free, any further rides are charged.
The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained, with stylish rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool offering amazing views. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. We didn’t have breakfast, so we can’t comment on that.
The only downside was the noise – it’s quite easy to hear other guests in the hallways and rooms, and doors were often slammed shut, which was disturbing at times.
Overall, a lovely hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. We would recommend it despite the noise.

Nice place to stay, it is on the more calmer part of the beach. The restaurant part could do more improvements, like basic English for staff and breakfast is definitely not value for money. You can find much better ones around. The room is spacious and clean every day. We enjoyed the pool as well.

JoPutthalaPros :
- Good hotel : start to be old but totally fine.
- Staff was very kind (especially for breakfast ! Always smiling).
- For those that think the hill is the problem, just take the scooter next to the room, restaurant and swimming pool is a good idea if you don't want to climb.
- Amazing view
- I got free late check out after my morning boat was cancelled. Very kind from them.
Cons :
- No tv in rooms,
- They don't really remove leaves from the swimming pool,
- You can try to call them... No one pick up the phone (I called literally 30 times at the pier to get a shuttle for 100thb/pers) Cause the fake ”taxi” was 500thb for 2kms. The reason : the front desk (where the phone is) is closed so the reception is at the restaurant (but no phone there). They could transfer calls to a mobile phone... But no.
- It was written that there was a free shuttle going to the pier at 4pm... I was expecting to see it arriving at 4:20-30pm.. nothing came.

Guest UserThere is so much to like and a few things to be warned about in this property. The first is that the location, Chaloklum beach, is very remote and will be difficult to get to from Thong Sala pier unless you are traveling with a large group.
However, that remoteness is very much the appeal of this area for me, as it is once of the quietest beaches I’ve ever experienced. The second thing to note is that the hotel rooms shows it’s age, with a cracking bath tile for the jacuzzi and balcony doors that barely work. The hotel room only had one plug as well, and the hair dryer did not work. The last thing I will say though is that the view really is unbeatable; you open your curtains and see one of the most beautiful sights you can see.
