"The house was lovely, but the toilet wasn't great, and there was no electric kettle (I'm not good at using gas). However, the service was excellent, the view was beautiful, and the owners were very kind and helpful; they even offered to take me to the station, which was very touching."

"This was my second stay, and the breakfast and dinner options haven't changed much from before – still excellent. The seating arrangement, however, was noticeably better this time. The staff were all very welcoming and enthusiastic. The environment is peaceful, making it perfect for a getaway. The hot springs are also great, especially the three private onsen rooms."

Floral Hotel · Sakura-zaka Onsen (Izu Kogen Omuroyama) ★★★★

📍 1261-19 Yawatano, Ito

"Our stay here exceeded all expectations – incredible value for money! The hotel has a charming ambiance and is super close to Mount Omuro. The on-site hot spring was a lifesaver after a long day of sightseeing, really helping to ease our fatigue. But what truly set this place apart was the exceptional service from the owner. They were incredibly responsive to all our requests, and their attention to detail was outstanding. For example, when it suddenly started pouring rain one morning and we couldn't easily get around, the owner proactively drove us to our destination. Then, when we checked out, they personally drove us to the train station. With beautiful scenery, convenient access, and such impeccable hospitality, it was a truly stress-free and heartwarming experience. Highly, highly recommend!"

"The room was spacious, very clean, and well-lit, with complete amenities including Japanese yukata. There was also a microwave available, and the in-room facilities were comprehensive. Housekeeping did a great job, and the location is excellent, close to both the beach and Ito Station."

Ocean View Villa Jaiz Hotels in Ito

Ocean View Villa Jaiz

"Ocean View Villa JAIZ was one of the most memorable stays we’ve had in Japan. The location is beautiful, tucked up in Ito with incredible views over the ocean, and on a clear day you can even see Mt Fuji. The villa felt private, peaceful, and perfect for a special trip. We loved the mix of traditional Japanese touches, tatami sleeping space, and the private onsen baths. Having both an indoor private onsen and a rooftop bath with ocean views made the stay feel really special. Dinner and breakfast were also excellent, and the staff were kind, helpful, and made the whole experience feel smooth and personal. It’s the kind of place you want to document because every part of it feels memorable — the views, the baths, the quiet atmosphere, and the feeling of being away from everything. Highly recommended for couples, birthdays, anniversaries, or anyone wanting a unique private onsen stay near Ito."

"The room and hot spring bath were spacious, and the environment was pleasant. However, there was an unshakeable smell of salted fish from in-room dining that made it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was served as early as 8:30 AM, which was quite disruptive, and the bathroom facilities could definitely use an upgrade."

"Two days and one night stay, Japanese-style room with two beds in the main building, with a semi-open-air bath, dinner and breakfast included, for two people. The hotel is a little hard to find. If you are using a car navigation system, make sure you look for the sign for the guest parking lot, "Ito-shi Sakuragaoka 2-chome 4-13," or the sign on the electric pole from Minami-Ito Station. When you arrive at the parking lot, someone will be there to guide you to your parking space. While you are there, a waitress will come and help you with your luggage, but since the hotel is on a hill, it can be a bit daunting to have heavy luggage carried for you. The hotel is located in a residential area, so the entrance is It is not visible from the parking lot, and its appearance is more like a traditional Japanese inn than a hotel, and it has a dignified atmosphere. After entering, we took off our shoes and went up to a Japanese-style room with a cypress counter. We checked in and enjoyed matcha tea and sweets, and took a break. The room was on the second floor and we were moved by elevator, but we had to go down a few stairs to get to the main building. The room was quite spacious for two people, and the waitress explained that there was a disaster kit to take out in case of a disaster. There was also emergency water in the toilet. We also went to the large public bath, which was open and spacious. After bathing, we were given a drink. We ate what was on hand. The drinks were different in the evening and in the morning. They would call us when the meal was ready. The menu for the private dining room changes monthly, but we were able to choose one of five dishes as a token of appreciation, and one of three dishes for the meal. We had both hot and cold dishes, and there was a fair amount of food, so we were full and delicious. They offered us some midnight noodles in the evening, but we were too full so we gave up. The hot spring in our room was a little warm, so we were able to stay in for a long time. It was quiet, probably because it was surrounded by trees, and we could occasionally hear the sound of trains in the distance. Breakfast was served in the same place, starting at 8:00, but they made an effort to accommodate (we wanted to leave earlier). The freshly cooked rice was delicious, and we could choose as many as we wanted from four side dishes, and we were told we could have seconds. There was grilled fish, but it was really tasty when heated on a charcoal grill. On our way back, we checked out at the front desk and had our luggage carried to the parking lot. It was a rare Japanese-style inn, with staff in kimonos these days. Recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy high-quality service and hot springs."

"I didn't know what I was getting into as my brother booked the trip, but here's been there several times. I must say the whole experience was fantastic! Clean, beautiful onsen sceneries, decorative art, lots of fun stuff to do. There are free drinks & snacks in almost every public area, their included meals are delicious and have a nice variety of new foods I wanted to try, and they were all excellent. For those who drink alcohol, I was beer on tap and a bunch of selections that also was also free. The staff is super friendly, lots of walking paths. My only downside was there's not a lot to visit outside the resort, you'll have to walk several km to get to any convenience stores or to do any outside shopping. And although the ocean views are lovely, the resort itself is also at least few km inland from the shore. Otherwise, I loved the Bali & frog themes, all the onsen baths had their own charm and was a wonderful experience, I would definitely return ✨️✨️✨️✨️"

"I stayed here while on a golf trip. Located on high ground near Mt. Komuro, from the window of my room you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance, with the golf course stretching out below. I stayed in a twin room for single use. As you'd expect from a resort, the room was spacious and relaxing. There was also a hot spring, and although I had pain in my joints the day before, I soaked in the hot spring, and the pain was gone the next day, which I thought was the effect of the hot spring. I didn't have meals because the timing wasn't right. It was a room only with hot springs, and I think it's a reasonable price for this area."

"It was very cold in the room (January 2026), only conditioner with hot air was avaliable. The conditioner was very very dusty and it felt bad breathing the air from it. Unfortunately, I would like to have something more comfortable for this price."

"Having a car solves the problem, but it's a bit far from the JR station, about a 20-minute walk. There are buses that go nearby, but they are infrequent. If you're walking and have a lot of luggage, they offer a pick-up service, so please inquire. The friendly owner will assist you, so I think everything will go smoothly."

Akazawa Onsen Hotel ★★★★
"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."

"The hotel dinner was delicious; I highly recommend the splendid alfonsino sashimi or shabu-shabu. The environment is beautiful, and the hot spring facilities are relatively new and clean. The old buildings do have a bit of an odor, especially the sea view rooms – ours was sea view 205 and it had a strong smell. The mountain view rooms, on the other hand, had a pleasant woody scent; we stayed in Sanyin 206, and the room was incredibly spacious. I'm not sure about the other rooms, but overall, I found the experience excellent. There's a large supermarket about a 7-minute walk away and it's also close to the station. A taxi to Mount Omuro cost 150 yuan and to Jogasaki Coast was 100 yuan. It's very convenient to call a taxi through the hotel or use Didi. I would definitely go back if I have the chance."

"We had arranged for the hotel to pick us up from Fuhu Station in advance, and they also offered a drop-off service, which was great. The hotel is nestled in the mountains with beautiful scenery, and the rooms were clean and tidy. They also have a hot spring that you can book in advance. The landlady was very helpful and provided us with information about nearby transportation. The only downside is that the restaurants nearby are a bit far, more than a 15-minute walk, and it's quite dark at night without streetlights. If you're traveling alone with only women, it's best to have dinner before dark and return home. Alternatively, you can just take a taxi."

"The location of the hotel is quite isolated, so it is suitable for self-driving tours. The facilities are a bit shabby, but the staff are friendly and very helpful. The room is very large and has a large terrace facing the sea. It also has kitchen equipment for cooking, family gatherings, and hot springs. There is only one big pool which is quite overshadowed."

"Stayed for a regular weekend and got a great price for a room with a private hot spring! The hotel isn't too far from the station exit; it's a pleasant walk. However, if you have luggage and want a more comfortable journey, I'd recommend taking a taxi, which costs about 700 yen."
