I enjoyed staying in this ryokan but we got unlucky with our maid.
Description of the situation which disappointed me during my stay:
I ordered chef’s dinner and during check-in procedure I selected an option of having dinner at 6:30 pm. But our maid brought dinner much earlier - at 5:40 pm when my partner was still having time in onsen. The maid approved that she had messed with time, so I thought she had also messed with the room and she would bring us our dinner later. But what was my surprise was when at designated time (6:30 pm) she served us that exact dinner… of course most of the dishes were cold. This kind of ruined my experience...
Still, I must mark out some positive points. The owner of Yokikan welcomed us at the check-in and guided us through his ryokan by himself. We really enjoyed his tour. Also he drove us back to the railway station next day. I’m grateful for the excellent service he provides to guests.
Also I really enjoyed staying at the open-air bath at the top floor.
All in all, I would still recommend staying in this ryokan while in Ito. I was just unlucky with the service provided by the maid at my floor

I found this hotel by chance and stayed for two nights. It felt very relaxing and comfortable. The hotel is run by a Chinese from Shanghai who immigrated to Japan, and the owner is very enthusiastic. Since the days are short and the nights are long in winter in Izu, it gets dark at five o'clock and many shops are closed. When we were wondering what to do, the shop owner offered to drive us to a convenience store to buy groceries and introduced us to a restaurant frequented by locals. After dinner, we were picked up at the restaurant and returned to the hotel.
The atmosphere of the entire hotel is very leisurely. The hotel is connected to an art gallery, which is the work of the hotel owner. There is also a coffee shop that sells coffee and cakes, which are also homemade by the owner, which is quite thoughtful.
There happened to be no other guests during our two-day stay, so the public hot spring facilities became private, which was quite a surprise. 😃
In the morning, there are cute little squirrels on the terrace. You can have a good cup of tea and have a leisurely breakfast before setting off for the next stop. 😎
When we left, the hotel owner even drove us to the train station, which was very considerate.

The hotel is in a great location, the lobby has a beautiful view, and the breakfast and dinner are both very rich and delicious. The dinners for the three nights were different, but the breakfasts were the same. It is not far from Jogasaki Kaigan Station and Omuroyama, but the hotel shuttle bus is too rare.

A very good onsen hotel that I recommend to visit once!
The room was clean. Ukata was beautiful.
The Japanese kaiseki dinner was tasty, but my daughter doesn’t like it as she is not a sea food eater. But I am!
Onsen was relaxing!
Breakfast with a sea view was amazing!
I strongly recommend this hotel and appreciate them for accommodation!

Actually, it was quite disappointing. The hotel is on the beach and facing the road. The entrance has a small corridor and courtyard to turn in, but the design of this space is too perfunctory compared to many Japanese hotels, and there is no Zen of Japanese courtyards at all. I have a deep understanding of the hotel's nautical theme and understand the combination of Japanese and British styles, but I still feel that it is out of place. The room is indeed OK, but the corridor is empty. The wind is strong at the seaside. Wearing hot spring clothes to enter and exit the room, the biting cold wind in the corridor is really uncomfortable. And the dinner in the restaurant is really too insincere and unrefined compared to the configuration of most Japanese hotels with one night and two meals! The first two dishes are a bit novel, but I am speechless after that. The ingredients used in the seafood soup must have been in the refrigerator for a long time, the chopsticks are disposable, and many tableware are plastic... I really lost my expectations for Hoshino! Such an expensive price is really not worth it, and I will not stay in the Hoshino system again.

The hotel has a private bath in the room, but there was no air conditioning at night when we stayed. The room was heated, the public bath was good, and there was also a family bath. The hotel parking lot is not within the hotel, and you need to walk 1 minute to the parking lot outside

The location is great, just minutes from the JR station & bus stop! The hotel is clean & comfy, but the view? Totally unexpected & stunning! 😍 Sea views for days! 🌊
The onsen is 24/7 accessible, sup! 😎 Just a heads-up: no meals provided, but local restaurants are just a couple minutes away. 😋

"Tatami bath" offers a unique healing space where you can enjoy traditional Japanese relaxation. Both the tatami bath and the open-air bath use free-flowing hot spring water sourced directly from the premises. The baths at "Hotel Yoshino" naturally feature the hotel's own Ito hot spring. Guests can enjoy the free-flowing hot spring water sourced directly from the premises.
Featuring ingredients such as splendid alfonsino from the Izu Islands, the cuisine is delightful. Dishes like simmered splendid alfonsino, whole simmered abalone, Shizuoka beef, and an abundance of seafood sashimi are presented in a four-tiered box, which is highly praised.

As a Japanese hot spring hotel during the trip, it was OK. The transportation was convenient. The hotel facilities were old. I chose a random room. The bathroom was very small and unusable. The faucet was still cold after a long time. The toilet was usable. If you want to take a good bath, you have to go to the public hot spring area, which is inconvenient. The room was generally clean and tidy.
Breakfast was delivered to the room at the scheduled time, which I liked.
Finally, don't be fooled by the navigation to the slope behind. Trust your own judgment. I guess the navigation (Google) is located on the roof of the hotel.

The hotel is not far from Fuhu Station. It is a small European-style garden building located on a slope. It takes only seven or eight minutes to walk to the nearby convenience store. The owners are a young and hospitable Chinese couple who very considerately provide station pick-up and drop-off service. The hotel rooms and public areas are very clean, and the decoration is fresh and elegant, showing the owner's taste and care. Particularly worth mentioning is the outdoor hot spring bathing experience that exceeded expectations. Because we arrived a little late, the boss took the initiative to help us make an appointment in advance to ensure that we don’t have to wait for a long time. It was very thoughtful. The next day, as our return trip was tight, we contacted the boss temporarily and hoped that he could pick us up at a place near the station. The beautiful boss agreed readily. I just want to say that the hotel owner's thoughtful service really made me feel that I chose the right hotel. I will definitely recommend it to my friends if I have the chance.

There are not many reviews about this hotel. I stayed for a total of 3 nights this time. It is a deep experience and can be shared with you.
Facilities: Outdoor private soup can watch the sea and watch the sunrise, the water quality is clean, 24 hours running water, the water temperature is controlled by the store, adjustable.
The room is a typical Japanese-style room, the layout is reasonable, very clean, the bath water pressure is very high, and the bedding is very comfortable.
Environment: Izu Plateau Station came out to take a taxi for 10 minutes to the hotel, and the birdsong forest sea can be heard around. The air is very good. It takes half an hour to walk to Dashi Mountain and 15 minutes to the coast of Chengqi by taxi. It is actually very convenient.
Dinner green tour: The hotel has two menus. This time we stayed for three days. The third day was almost the same as the first day. The dinner was kaiseki cuisine. There were many local fish in Izu. The dishes were many styles. The portion was large and sincere!
Service: Japanese service has nothing to say, very polite in place
In general, combined with Japanese hotel prices, I think this can be regarded as a great value, the traffic is not inconvenient, you can rest assured!

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the Ito downtown, we were driving so it wasn't an issue. There are plenty of parking at the hotel. The ryokan is well maintained, it doesn't feel old, the onsen are properly modernized and clean. The room is HUGE which, with many functional areas, it was very pleasant room. There is also a private onsen as well for family or couples for a small fee. The private onsen has a good traditional style to it and it was open-air . There are also a chair for old people and toys for kids, so it's well thought out.
Many people seems to like to have their dinner at the private eating room on first floor, so we did the same. They had one service person per 2-3 rooms maybe so we were well serviced, and the guy was very nice. I remember meeting him for dinner, and he realized we can only speak English, so the next morning when we met him again for breakfast, it looks like he made note in his notebook so he can properly introduce the dishes to us in English. I could feel the dedication so thank you to the man.
HHuanghuangxiI just saw the good service here, and then I brought my father here to experience the Japanese-style B&B, and my father was very satisfied.
We were able to contact WeChat in advance, and the two ********* girls were very enthusiastic to answer questions. My father can't eat fried and cold food, so dinner can only be eaten outside. The restaurant they recommended is about 8 minutes' walk away. It is the largest restaurant in the area. The service is very good and the price is not high.
The owner of the B&B doesn't talk much, but the service is very good. He took the initiative to pick us up at the station and took the initiative to send us to Mount Omuro. Although the cable car was not running due to strong winds that day, the owner told us that we could see Mount Fuji from the parking lot above. This is also the only place where we can see the top of Mount Fuji during the whole journey.
Finally, when we arrived at Jr, the owner drove our boxes over, which was really considerate.
I hope to bring my children here to stay for a few more days in the summer. There is also a piano here. I tried to talk to them a few times before leaving. It's okay, haha!
Hhelena~~hI have liked this hotel for a long time, and I finally experienced it during this trip to Izu. There are very few Chinese people, but more locals and foreigners. There are three accommodation areas in total. I accidentally booked the newest area, which has only three rooms but two hot springs, which is relatively private. The hot springs are very good. There are 9 hot springs in the three areas. I went around. The old ones are more Japanese, and the new ones are more modern. One night and two meals is a good choice. The dinner every day is too exquisite. It is much more cost-effective than eating kaiseki in Tokyo. The service staff are very professional, but they all need to be confirmed in advance, such as meal time, location, whether cleaning is needed, and time awareness. There are only three breakfast sets, dried seafood, Japanese porridge and Western set meals. It is not recommended to eat Western food here. You can try the other two. The aunt in the restaurant speaks good English, but the young man at the front desk speaks average English. It also indirectly shows that there are more locals. Turn around and you will find the Teddy Bear Museum. Walk 1km to the cherry blossom trail, the Hashidate Suspension Bridge and the Hachiman Shrine⛩. You can go shopping in all three directions. It is more than 3 kilometers away from the Kinosaki Coast and the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. It is a bit troublesome to take a car. I recommend walking from a natural research route on the coast, but it requires physical strength. However, the scenery is not visible from the car. This road can go all the way from the Hashidate Suspension Bridge to the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. I also discovered it while running in the morning. I ran to Hachiman in the morning and met a squirrel🐿. I played with it for a while. Anyway, it was worth the trip. It is also the most recommended hotel booked in Japan this time.
Ccindy72This hot spring hotel was a bit beyond our expectations. We booked two hot spring hotels in two days. We initially thought the price was right. After we checked in, we found that the room was super large. It was an apartment room, with two Western-style rooms and one combined-style room. There were two toilets. We regretted only booking one day for the four of us. It was suitable for self-driving tours. There were not many people in the public bath, which was equivalent to booking the whole place. It was very good. When we got up in the morning, we looked out from the balcony and the environment was beautiful. There were more Japanese families coming. There were not many places to eat around. We brought good things from the supermarket and there was a microwave to heat them up, so it was quite comfortable to eat after taking a bath. The hotel provided drip coffee, and we could also go to the lobby to drink free coffee. My family went to the one behind and complained that this one was better.
Nnjxwy88The hotel is located in Ito City, opposite the Lawson supermarket, which is convenient for travel. The hotel is quiet, whether it is a private bath or a large bath, the hotel's service is very satisfactory.
GGuest UserA group of eight people stayed at the Dadong Pavilion. It was very clean. It should be said that it is a very old hot spring hotel, and the original facilities are preserved! The bathing time is still changed in the morning, so that everyone can have a different bathing experience, which feels quite good. Hotel photos (supplemented later)
Sanitation: Clean
Facilities: Complete
Environment: Good
Food: It is said to be a business meal, western style, the ingredients are very fresh and delicious
GGuest UserThere are some insects in the room. It may be due to the suburban environment that there are more mosquitoes and beetles. The location is relatively remote and there are no restaurants open at night, but the staff is very polite.
EEdwardTThe hotel looks a bit old, but you can feel the atmosphere in the lobby, the considerateness of the waiters, and the well-maintained facilities. I like the open-air bath the most. The layout of the Japanese-style room is great. It was really comfortable to stay for two nights. It is easy to access. There is a bus stop and a 7-11 convenience store in front of the hotel. There are also supermarkets and various restaurants nearby. Even if you stroll from the hotel to Ito Station, it only takes about 10 minutes, and the hotel has pick-up and drop-off services during check-in and check-out, so you need to contact the hotel to arrange.
XXinpingyouchuanThis hotel is in a great location, close to the zoo and Mt. Omuro. The hotel room is very large, equivalent to a bedroom, a living room, and an inner balcony for drinking tea. The room was very clean and facing the sea. I booked a package that included dinner and breakfast, not a buffet, but a table with a fixed time. The dishes are very exquisite, typical Japanese cuisine, especially the dinner, which is delicious one by one. The only regret is that the waiter's English is not very good, so we have to communicate slowly. The hot spring is open from 6am to 9am and from 3pm to 11pm. There is no shower in the room, so you have to go to the B1 floor to take a hot spring bath. I still like it very much. I took a hot spring bath twice in the evening and morning. Overall great!
Ppdgs1984Since there are many green forests in the mountains, there are more bugs. There are only public bathrooms, no private toilets. You need to pay Smecta tax for bathing. It takes 30 minutes to walk up the mountain after getting off the station, which is tiring.
