Hot Spring Hotels in Ito

This was my mother and daughters' first international trip together, and thanks to this place, we had such a happy and enjoyable time! 🥰 Everyone was incredibly friendly, and both the outdoor private onsen and indoor hot spring bath in our room were clean and beautiful! 👍 My mom had been wanting to go to a hot spring for years, and she was absolutely thrilled and very satisfied. 💜 Dinner and breakfast were also fantastic; you could really feel the effort put into each dish, and we got to try new ingredients, so it was all delicious! 😍 If you're driving from Shizuoka by rental car, I highly recommend taking the toll road! We took the free road and ended up learning to drive in Japan 'Spartan-style' on our first day, thanks to the massive forest roads and fog. Haha. We received the best hospitality during our stay, which helped my mother and daughters make truly wonderful memories. 🧡 Thank you so much. We'll definitely come back with the whole family next time! This is a century-old hotel with a real sense of history. Dinner and breakfast were decent, much like what you'd find at most onsen hotels, with the added local specialty of sea bream. The unique bathing experience here is thanks to the hotel's exclusive mountain elevator, which takes you to the highest point for panoramic views of the entire city.

Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!

The room is very spacious as it is like an apartment. The hotel is older but we can imagine it to be a luxury hotel back in its heyday. Location is no issue as we drove, and it was convenient to all the main attractions around the area eg. Mount omuro, jogasaki. The kids booked a slot in the kids playroom which is suitable for younger children. There was also a kids game which they can exchange for a prize upon completion, similar to Easter egg hunt, which made them excited and this helped us become familiar with the common areas and facilities.

Location of hotel is great, as it is close to the station & coast. Hotel have more of a Breakfast & Bed vibe, with activity at night of a small campfire for roasting of marshmallow & sweet potato if the weather allows. Staff are very friendly & proactive by providing assistance and with the ample food options available nearby. Would definitely recommend this place & would revisit/choice of stay for future visit to Izu.

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory. The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

Highly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
