This time I stayed at a Tibetan-style hotel, the overall feeling was great! The decoration of the hotel is very ethnic, from the room to the lobby, every detail is bright. The staff is particularly enthusiastic, and they take the initiative to say hello every time they enter and exit, which makes people feel very warm. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the sleep was particularly fragrant. Breakfast is a highlight of the hotel, with Tibetan yogurt, wontons, and porridge. The ingredients are fresh and taste good. The lobby on the first floor is particularly beautiful, beautifully decorated, and feels the strong Tibetan culture. Super satisfied! And in chatting with the staff, I learned more about the living state here. It's great.
PS: If the weather is good, you can shoot the starry sky next to it.

I didn't have time to take pictures of the interior of the room, so the luggage was placed in a mess. It was the same as the pictures I saw when booking. There was no difference. Because of the altitude, I didn't have to take a shower when I checked in. But fortunately, the room had oxygen supply facilities, which is good in high-altitude areas. Very critical. The room price is not very cost-effective, but I personally am not used to staying in Tibetan-style B&Bs, and the breakfast here is very rich and delicious. Great location, pet friendly, highly recommended

Mu Xuezhuang is the hotel with the best experience during this trip to western Sichuan. It is also a ceiling-level hotel in Gunong Village.
Let’s talk about the hardware first: whole-house floor heating, whole-house diffused oxygen supply (no need to insert a nasal straw), bathroom with electric heated towel rack, a balcony with a view (directly facing the Yala Snow Mountain), and an electric screen door on the balcony. I guess it is configured like this in Western Sichuan. There are not many hotels either. Because only newly built hotels or B&Bs can implement these hardware at the same time, and it also requires investors' vision and willingness to invest.
Let’s talk about the software: The service was very considerate. They called me to ask for my opinion before I even arrived at the hotel. They upgraded my accommodation to the third floor. I asked if there was an elevator (because I had two big boxes) and they said there was a service that would deliver it to us. On the third floor, I agreed to upgrade. The view of the snow-capped mountains from the third floor is even more visual. The hotel waiters were of good quality. They took us into the room and introduced the floor heating and central oxygen supply facilities. They were attentive but not overly enthusiastic. Can chat when understanding travel advice. It can be seen that they are all people who like and love traveling, which matches the high-end positioning of the hotel.
A complimentary fruit platter can reflect the standard of a hotel or B&B from one aspect. First of all, the fruit plate is fashionable; secondly, the fruit plate is covered with plastic wrap; thirdly, the fruits are fresh and of high quality, which is very important. You don’t have to give fruit as a gift, but if you give it, it must be high-quality. High-quality gifts are plus points. Giving low-quality gifts is minus points. I would rather not give them.
Accommodation includes breakfast. In addition to the prescribed breakfast, you can choose one of three drinks: milk, American coffee, and latte; and choose one of two staple foods: noodles and rice noodles.
The quality of the soup house for dinner is also good, the medium portion is 398 yuan, which can feed two to three people, but the price does not include ingredients.
Whole-house diffused oxygen supply: very good

Outstanding
GGuest UserThis hotel was sold during the pandemic and the new owners are doing a great job slowing repairing the grounds. Beautiful gardens and the rooms, dishing and reception areas are all lovely. We booked this place because it has a pool. Well the pool was broken and clearly a long way down the list of things to fix. During this COVID times I can’t imagine guest numbers are huge and we appreciated the really friendly staff and what they have fixed up so far.
There are several dogs and cats at the hotel, which our kids loved. I did not like the big Labrador drooling on my leg during our dinner and asked the staff to remove it from the dining room. One of the other dogs also entered our room uninvited. We have a dog back home in Beijing and are dog people, but I suggest to the management of this hotel that they keep their pets away from the dining and guests areas.
The food was nicely present and we had one of the few genuinely good coffees here. That coffee was a highlight of the week. Staff spoke excellent English and were always welcoming and helpful.
I recommend this hotel and suggest you keep in mind that older reviews are not reflective of current owners and that facilities do not appear as pictured.
GGuest UserThe homestay is on the edge of 318, but it is not on the road, but in a yard tens of meters behind the road, there are several houses in front of it that just block the noise of the 318 passing cars. Very good parking, almost all rooms are facing the distant mountain view, the room on the first floor has no damp feeling at all, no smell. The appearance of the homestay is not eye-catching, but the room is bright: 1. The standard room is large enough, the windows are bright, the curtains are shading, and the light source is rich in three-dimensional configuration. 2. Very clean and tidy. 3. The bathroom is spacious, separated from dry and wet, and the bath and washing can be carried out by two people at the same time. The configuration of hand sanitizer is much more convenient than a basket of soap. The hot water is sufficient and the disposable toilet pad is intimately equipped with free use. 4. There are many plugs in the room, enough for two people to use a variety of electronic equipment. The Tibetan proprietress is friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant is on the third floor and the kitchen is very clean and tidy. The breakfast prepared has butter tea, porridge, steamed buns, pickles, eggs, sitting by the window for breakfast and enjoying the scenery outside the window is quite pleasant. After writing so much, it seems that I am really satisfied.
JJS2222255555The hotel's service team is undoubtedly the most amazing. From booking confirmation to check-in to check-out, you can feel the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff in every step. They always had a smile on their faces and patiently answered every question I had, making me feel at home. Especially the room service staff, they not only tidy up the room in time, but also always care about my stay experience, which makes me feel warm.
BBambinaaaaaaThe location of the B&B is easy to find. After passing the Baitu Village Tunnel, turn left and come down. You can also walk to Liuliu City below in about 15 minutes, which is very convenient.
The room was clean and tidy. The climate in Kangding cooled down during the National Day. The B&B also turned on the floor heating in the room, which was very warm. The view from the room is also very good, overlooking Liuliu City.
Another point of choosing Chuyi is that it is pet-friendly, which is especially suitable for families traveling with pets.
A very good stay experience!
BBingcunI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive.
So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city.
The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.
GGuest UserThe room is not bad. It is already in good condition in Shangmuju Village. There is an electric blanket, and the bed is very warm and comfortable. The taste of the local chicken pot is not bad. The service attitude is very good, I will help you with the luggage when you arrive at the door. It is quite good to stay for one night. Breakfast is also provided for free. The night view of the hotel is also beautiful, which is great! recommend!
JJake Vaughan 杰克Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!
GGuest UserThe service is thoughtful and the room hygiene is also very good. It is clean and hygienic. This is the most important thing. I stayed for one night. The room is very good and will come again next time
