"We had the best week at Dorfchalets Kaprun! Andi and Nina were excellent hosts, even giving us a free upgrade to a bigger chalet following a cancellation. The chalet was perfect and had everything we needed. The beds were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were also perfectly clean and the kitchen was really well appointed with very modern cooking equipment. The location was great, only a 10 minute walk to the piste, the Maiskogel lift and the supermarket. We would definitely stay here again! Andi was always responsive if we had a question via Whatsapp, and was friendly and helpful, giving great advice and tips about the local area. The free access to the local Tauern Spa was another benefit of staying at Dorfchalets, and we went several times during our week's stay. We loved it at Dorfchalets Kaprun, and would definitely recommend it and would stay again. Thank you!"

"It was really amazing stay for us. The staff is helpful and kind, breakfast tasty with everything you need, they make you fresh eggs. Dinner absolutely delicious for 35€ (appetizer, salad bar, soup, main course and dessert) I do not eat meat so they made me veggie version (or fish). Room was clean and cosy, wellness great with saunas, pool and gym. Location for skying 👌🏻👌🏻"

Apartment Margarethenstein Including Zell am See Kaprun Summercard

"We are 5 friends who went to a ski trip in the spring (late April- May). We stayed at an apartment at the Margarethenstein. The apartment was really nice, equipped with a kitchen, two bathrooms/ showers, a living room, 4 bedrooms and a small sauna (2 people). The atmosphere was lovely, cleanliness was impeccable and the service was great. I could reach the hotel owner any time by WhatsApp and everything was taken care of. We also had a few breakfasts and those were quite rich with eggs, vegetables, fruits, baked breads and of course yogurt and coffee. This was an excellent start for the arduous day. During our stay we also ate in their restaurant two dinners which were really great. Everything was styled and the food was delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough. Parking was also plentiful near the hotel."

"We stayed as a family of five and were very happy here. Our three children had a bed each in the second room so no one had to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge. There was a lovely spacious living room / kitchenette that made cooking and eating together very enjoyable. The supermarket in town is great with a huge selection and only a 5 minute walk away. The ski locker was fine with plenty of space for multiple families to don boots etc. There is a great sauna that was very welcome after a good days skiing. The bus to the main ski area is an easy 2 minute walk. You can walk to Kaprun centre in ski boots in perhaps 10minutes. The apartment was cleaned and prepared every day. Staff all super friendly and super helpful. There was a balcony on two side of the apartment with lovely views, although on this trip it was more useful as an outside beer chiller. Fab place. Would recommend."

Vaya Kaprun

"We stayed in a 2 bedroom superior Type 1 apartment with 4 adults and a baby. Very impressed and would highly recommend. We stayed in apartment 8 on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel. With the windows and doors shut, you can’t hear the road, but with the windows open you get the odd noisy neighbour walking past late at night. One bedroom had an en-suite with a shower and the other had a bathroom off the hall with a bath and shower. Each bedroom had their own balcony as well as a balcony off the living area. All rooms had a lovely view of the mountains. We didn’t use the sofa bed, so can’t comment on that. VAYA provided a cot for the baby, although it was not suitable for such a young baby and we ended up using the bassinet from the pushchair we bought with us. The whole apartment was really well renovated and was lovely and clean (possibly except a bit of dust under the sofa, beds etc which possibly doesn’t get cleaned every time). The table had plenty of room for 6 people, with a large sofa and 2 arm chairs. Kitchen was good. No microwave which was not a massive issue, except we’d got microwave steriliser bags for the baby which we couldn’t use. Our group consisted of 2 skiers, 2 non skiers and a 3 month old baby. The skiers were impressed with the ski room - clean, warm and plenty of space. There was no mat or shoe tray inside the apartment for wet shoes, so the floor would get really wet. We asked reception for a spare mat which was provided straight away. This helped but would definitely be feedback for VAYA to provide a tray or mat of some sort to help save their nice flooring and to stop wet socks! There was underfloor heating which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect with a bus stop right outside. It’s a short walk to the local Maiskogel ski area and a short 15/20 minute bus to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier one way or Zell ‘em Zee the other. Really friendly and helpful staff, would definitely stay again!"
