"This was our first trip to Cambodia and had a great experience! After the initial few days in Phnom Penh we went north to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat, finishing off with the last 4 nights down on the coast in Kep, staying at the Knai Bang Chatt. We visited late October, the end of the rainy season, so it was still a bit quiet in terms of tourist numbers. Knai Bang Chatt is a fantastic, small boutique hotel comprising a few old but well renovated villas from the French colonial era and the property runs down to the beach and the Gulf of Thailand. We had a great room with balcony overlooking the sea and the staff could not have been better, helpful at all times. They arranged a couple of trips for us, by tuk-tuk, around the surrounding area including a visit to one of the estates producing the famous Kampot Pepper. We also enjoyed a Kmer cookery class so thanks to Chef Chuon Sokheng and his team for that experience. The hotel itself is only a few minutes walk, or tuk-tuk ride, from the local crab market and the excellent selection of restaurants along the waterfront. We went to the Holy Crab, recommended by the hotel, and had had some excellent food, including the local speciality, Kampot Pepper Crab. Many thanks to all the hotel staff for making the last bit of our Cambodia trip so enjoyable and would recommend a holiday in Cambodia to anybody and, in particular, a stay at the Knai Bang Chatt."

Jim and Patrick work diligently to ensure that your stay is everything you could want from ordering transportation, tours and special requests. The pool is beautiful and never crowded, plenty of cabanas are available. The included breakfast varied and plentiful, and if you have dinner on the premises, it is quite tasty. Definitely try a massage, they are excellent and the prices extremely affordable. "

"What a place. Beautiful tropical gardens and setting backing onto the national park. We saw a monkey at the back of our room. The room was large with a fridge and nice decor. Lovely balcony with outside sofa and chair and a hammock. Great value. Breakfast was included. The restaurant serves evening meals and lunch too with a mix of western and local options. Pool table and table tennis free to use. We Walked one way (2.5km to the beach) and tuk tuk back. A special mention to the kind staff for their help."

"Just spent 5 nights at Birds of Paradise Bungalows and wwwoooowww . Best hospitality we had had in 8 weeks of travelling . Amazing location , 5 minute walk to crab markets and loads of fantastic restaurants ( crazy good seafood ) . These bungalows are really big , impeccably clean beautiful tropical setting with all to services you could need . Steve and Sotheary are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect . Bed was super comfortable ( a rarity in Asian countries), unlimited hot water fantastic breakfasts of which they serve to you on your balcony. Do yourself a favour and look no further than here . Can’t rate our experience high enough ."
