Hotels in Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui

Stayed at the beach front villa with direct access to the beach . It’s the best type of accommodation of all the rooms that the hotel offer. The staff really takes care of the beach. They smoothen the sand out and clean the beaches every morning. You wake up to a clean litter free beach. That’s really the bonus. However being so close to the beach, there is always people sitting infront of the villa. Less privacy and distracting the view. There is a block of water right at the steps before you enter the villa. That’s a very nice touch to clean and wash off sand before going into the villa and avoid too much sand in the room. Another good bonus. Another nice touch, clean towels were provided after every two days The front porch was good to hang out and chill. It was also good pls to dry wet cloths as there is not enough hooks and hangers. We were happy the villa comes with a bath tub. In general the entire villa is a lil rustic but it’s clean and still good condition The location is away from the noisy street which was good but it also means there is only a few restaurant/ shops option nearby. It still works for a short beach getaway. The water is pretty calm and shallow. Not much to see during snorkeling but it’s still fun to see fishes. The view of the beach at night is pretty and has a touch of Italy with all the lights on the hill. Overall a good experience and lovely stay

We went on our honeymoon, and everything was fantastic and smooth. From check-in to check-out, the staff at Sala ensured we had everything we needed. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with mini macarons, a towelette, and coconut water. The check-in process was exciting, as we could choose our pillow types and room scent. Once we were checked in, the staff prepared a flower bath for us. They also provided an in-house app for easier requests and questions, just a chat away. During our five-day stay, room service would come in around 6 p.m. to check on us, make our bed, and leave us a ”goodnight drink” to help us sleep. They made sure we were well taken care of. The hotel is very conveniently located, with a 24-hour shop just a minute away and within walking distance of the central shopping center. The taxi service was easy, and breakfast was nice, with the option for halal meals (no pork or alcohol served).

Location is ok, around 17 mins walk to central samui.  Breakfast is good, many choices Swimming pool is gigantic The beach is just footstep  away however the sea current was strong, it’s a bit hard to swim The pool access room is good,  Hotel staffs were all very nice  Dinner at the restaurant for Xmas, it’s 5,000 bahts for 2 adults and 1 little kid. It’s quite pricy given the bad food quality. Really not up to standard but 4 stars, can’t expect too high tho.

Very good hotel, I recommend it to everyone, very good view and location of the hotel, there is a good air conditioner, and a beautiful view from the window, the staff is very nice, smiling people who will always help you find what you are looking for

Surprisingly great! Room is indeed big with lots of surfaces to put all my things. Love the industrial decor, bed was big and comfortable. Hangers and rack works great, enjoyed the bath tub too with power water pressure there ever was. Aircon was cold as well that’s very appreciated for 40degrees + heatwave. One thing is I’m not sure if there was housekeeping as the other reviews said the floor is abit greasy and I used tissue to wipe it turned out black. They also didn’t come to empty my bins and I asked on the 3rd day nor top up toilet paper so I ended up using my own. That’s strange and I didn’t see any housekeeping cards to hang as well but everything else was so pleasant I didn’t push to ask. Staff were very lovely and super helpful also. No elevators from ground level though so having luggage and injured back not good but i got help from staff. Finally could do my laundry so happy, they send it off site. Location is prime, 24h mcd just next door if you were hungry at night and 7-11 is not available nearby but there’s a mini mart (if you wanted nice water and drinks like me that’s abit troublesome). Central festival mall is near so the supermarket works closes 11pm

Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities. Beach with white sands and clear water. Perfect for families. Love their surprise of the day. Breakfast is average. It's in the heart of Samui. I booked a pool villa. Cleaninest is poor. The pool was dirty and smelly. I paid for the villa to use the pool for three nights, but I ended up not using it at all. It was our wedding anniversary but didn't go well i as wanted. Survived mosquito bites. A snake slithered at my door, just outside the villa. So please be aware. Though i like the hotel, I'm not sure if I'll ever go back again after experiencing all those unpleasant things. Snake was the last thing I expected to see in a star hotel.

Great pool, clean part of the beach, close enough to walk to lots of cafes and shops. We booked as a family on one booking but were told at check-in we would have to stay in separate areas of the hotel… this was very disappointing as we had requested rooms close together. Manager wasn’t that friendly when we asked to change room to be closer together. Most staff working at resort were friendly and it was clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Stayed at Chaweng Garden Beach Resort in July for 7 days in a Standard Triple Room in room 125. Although the resort is an older one, as a budget level hotel it has satisfied most of our expectations. The room was large enough, with the building close to ”Sue's Restaurant” and to the main pool and to the beach. Room and bathroom were clean. As we asked for additional pillows in the room, we were provided. The buildings, villas were surrounded by lush garden, including the restaurant and beachfront, assuring comfortable shadow for those searching for it. The main pool has a comfortable depth, comfortable for swimming/playing, it's water was clean, although we preferred to swim in the sea. Did NOT encounter any jellyfish in the sea during our stay, so do not be afraid from this point of view! Beach towels are provided near the pool. Breakfast was basically good, although I would suggest to the management to provide beside a single(same) type of ham also some variety of salami. The same would be the case also for cheese, to provide 2-3 types, not only a single one type every day. I guess this would be much appreciated by the westerners who make up the majority of the guests. Initially we were afraid from load music until late night from the neighboring Ark Bar Beach Club, but our fear was groundless, the lush vegetation absorbed most of the sound, it was barely noticeable. It was touching seeing how the much respected owner of the resort, Miss Sue, was visiting one or two times every day the area near the restaurant and the beach while greeting ”old” returning guests and entering with them is short conversions. All in one, I appreciate that Chaweng Garden Beach Resort offers an excellent value for money ratio, and I would definitely return the next time to the same place, hopefully next year! Breakfast was basically good, although I would suggest to the management to provide beside a single(same) type of ham also some variety of salami. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Felt so warmth with their smiling face all the times. The strategic location makes it convenient for us to look for food.

I had a lovely stay at Samui First Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed warmly and even offered a refreshing welcome drink, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The hotel offers plenty of amenities, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious—definitely a great way to start the day. The pool area is clean and well-maintained, perfect for a quick dip or relaxing by the water. Although there's no elevator, it wasn’t a big issue for me. The hotel is a bit far from Central Samui and the beach, so renting a bike is a good idea if you want to explore the island. Chaweng Beach is the closest, and it's a beautiful spot. I also recommend checking out Ark Bar—it’s a great place to chill, especially in the late afternoon or evening. Overall, a pleasant experience and a great place to stay on Samui Island.🤗❤️
