I made a reservation to visit Kurokawa Onsen Village. I came by bus and was worried about getting to the accommodation, but after contacting the friendly host, I was able to go back and forth more comfortably! : ) The accommodation is also really nice! The air is so good in nature and the surrounding scenery is so beautiful. The inside of the accommodation is cozy and clean, and most of all, the host is very friendly. The charm of a guesthouse is interacting with people! I met 6 or 7 people during the two nights I was there, and it was really fun to get together at the accommodation and chat together in the evening after everyone had finished their schedules! I will definitely come back next time with my friends. Thank you so much to the host!

Warm independent cabin, with cooking utensils, you can also buy your own barbecue materials, suitable for couples, family size, and a group of friends. If you drive by yourself, you can find it according to the google map instructions.
The old uncle and old woman in charge of management were very friendly and arrived at around 7 pm on the first day, so there was no communication after check-in. The next morning, I went out and just met the old uncle who walked the dog, so I had a lot of contact. It turned out that the old uncle was a shy person, and then he also chatted with the old woman. Although the language was not available, they also tried to chat with us with the translation app. It was very kind and enthusiastic.
1 year renewal anniversary. Beauty skin hot spring bath. Beautiful and elegant person.

I booked a single room without meals, but for a single room, it was very large and comfortable to use. Each room also had a wifi and had a large bath. Of course, the bath and toilet are separate 々, and it was very nice to be able to use a proper hot spring. It also had a large refrigerator and a compact safe, so I was very relieved. The air conditioner is quiet and comfortable. There was also a large parking lot, so I was able to park easily even in a large non-foil passenger car. It was a small supermarket in 2~3 minutes by car, so I stayed without meals, but I didn't have any trouble eating. I definitely wanted to use it again.

A ryokan with the feel of an old film movie that is very cost-effective... I wanted to stay there when I came to Tsuetate before, but I couldn't sleep because I was leaving for another city on my schedule, so I ended up staying for one night this time. It is a ryokan that is often said to be full of charm. Even though it was difficult for those who like modern style, I also really liked it. Breakfast and dinner were good, and the generous amount of rice was also good. I also enjoyed the public bathhouse, which was used like my private house, whenever I felt like it. I'll go again next time haha

Room accommodation with open-air bath [Room] Yufu Dake was well seen from the open-air bath. It is convenient to wash shampoo and body in the open-air bath or in the inner bath in the room. There are chairs and tables on the balcony. 【Amenities】 There are several cosmetics for men and women on the washbasin in the room. There are cleaning, but for the price of the room, including other amenities, it was .... 【Bath】 Small towels are prepared in the public bath, so you don't need to use wet things. There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

We booked 2x Japanese rooms for 3 nights, over the rugby period. Obviously all hotels were charging a premium, but having booked 12 months in advance, at a cost of virtually £2,000 (excluding breakfast and dinner), I expected the hotel to be pretty good. The staff were very pleasant, but the communication was a problem - appreciate that this is our fault as much as theirs! The rooms were very shabby in our opinion, the furniture was badly marked and it didn't seem very clean. The worst problem was the smell in one of the rooms though, the staff told us it was from the tatami matting, but it clearly wasn't, as the other room had the same floorcovering and didn't smell. We ended up thinking it was the drains - but it was very unpleasant. The bathroom was pretty basic, and not well maintained - dirty grout around the tub etc. We stayed at 5 other hotels in Japan, and generally the standard was as expected - this was the only disappointment when considering cost vs. quality. The futons were more comfortable that I had expected - I slept really well.

Location - A bit far away from the Yufuin JR station, driving is recommended. Within walking distance of Kinrinko and Stained Glass Museum is a plus.
Cleanliness - Clean room and common bath area.
Service - Per booking confirmation check-in time is 1500-1900. Front desk staff was already gone when I arrived at around 1815. Took longer then expected for doing self check-in as the reservation number I have is different from what it is in the system, and the staff over phone barely speaks English so I have to use my broken Japanese to communicate.
Facilities - Cannot ask for more for such a price. Free bicycle rental service is great for non-driving guess to travel around Yufuin.

Maintain seamless communication using the complimentary Wi-Fi at ryokan. For visitors traveling by automobile, complimentary parking is available. Yufuin, who wanted to stay before. Renewed with the total design of etsuji Mitooka who worked on the luxury sightseeing train. It is an inn, but it has a chair and bed, simple but nice design, and it was perfect for us who did not like people coming in and out of the room. The meal was more comfortable and good than the room meal because it was served in another room. The dishes were also devised and beautiful and delicious. When I asked the young female staff, I was impressed by the answer to everything except the dishes. We couldn't leave food, so we were full of pots, because we had a lot of pots. The inn had a lot of dinner and breakfast, so the inn continued for two days was a little bit painful when it was old. The bath was a family, and there was a large open-air bath and I was able to relax. It was conveniently located to walk around Lake Jinpu and Yuno Tsubo Kaido Road, and it was fun to enjoy shopping and enjoy it. I would like to stay when I visit Yufuin someday.

It's right in front of Kinrinko and there's a parking lot so it's convenient. The room is a bit small, but there are no major complaints.
There are two hot springs, both family baths.
This is an accommodation with no complaints for the price.

The minute you walk in, you relinquish your shoes. Everywhere is tatami and so we walk in our socks or indoor shoes, an immediate plus and relaxing moment. Our room was called The Annex. It is apart from the hotel. The Annex is Japanese with tatami and western beds, very comfortable. When we approached the front door, the views off the private garden were gorgeously dramatic mountain cliffs and there are views of other mountains and the stream from the other side of The Annex as well. Spacious and open and extremely comfortable. While many rooms come with a private dining room in the restaurant, the private eating room associated with the Annex also has another private garden with views of the mountains. A small note: All liquids in the frig are complimentary, nice touch! The service was excellent, well trained. The food was delicious even though we have many dietary limits - like no meat, pork, heavy oils. They accommodated our restrictions with delicious, fresh fish and vegetables and fruit. The onsens, even though public access as well, were clean and designed beautifully. We've been to many ryokans this year, mainly in Kyushu since we live here. This onsen had the most beautiful facilities - and the views were drop dead gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the view from the onsen with the lounge chairs in the steaming water - and what an amazing onsen that was!!! After much thought, the only downside is the outdoor tub in the Annex, which is really not an onsen since it used chlorinated water and the two of us had to squeeze in. Having said that, we already booked our next stay in the spring and cannot wait to return.

Outstanding
GGuest UserA large open-air bath nestled in the forest. Both the mixed bath and the women-only bath are large baths. My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Luckily, I was able to take a mixed bath three times. Very satisfied. I was able to relax in the hot water. The dining table was also delicious, mainly using local ingredients. Salt-grilled yamame trout, horse sashimi, pheasant pot, sukiyaki, sashimi konnyaku, fern, grated yam, tempura, etc. It was moderately seasoned and did not impair the original flavor of the material.
GGuest UserThe location is a bit remote and you need to take a tram. You can reach it by bus or taxi; the natural hot spring is worth experiencing. The hotel owner is very kind and the meal is delicious. In addition to the natural hot spring pool, there are 2 family styles to choose from. 👍
秋秋田loveI made a reservation with breakfast and dinner included. The hostess welcomed me at the reception and was impressed with the home-cooked meals 😊
Located within Kokonoe National Park, it was a great place for outdoor enthusiasts.
The handmade buildings and sleeping quarters in the train cars were fun.
I'd like to go again.
GGuest UserI stayed in Moegi B room. It had a loft large enough to spread 3 futons. There is also a Japanese-style bedroom. It was nice to be so close to the hot springs. The semi-open-air chartered bath had an atmosphere and was wonderful. The cloudy hot water of the free-flowing was overflowing with rough. The warm, nostalgic scent of the water made my skin smooth. For dinner, we had yakiniku for a limited time at the ”Kohaku Shokudo” on the premises. If the weather is good, it is a comfortable distance to walk. You can go by car, but I wanted to drink, so I went on foot. When I ordered alcohol, I was repeatedly asked if the owner of the cafeteria was coming by car. said. I understand that confirmation is important, but the method of confirmation made me feel very uncomfortable, so in the future, it would be good to work with the hotel to accurately determine whether it is by car or on foot. . Bungo Wagyu beef yakiniku was delicious with a rich taste. There were plenty of pork and vegetables and I was satisfied. It was my first time staying at this hotel, so when I made several inquiries in advance, the man who answered the phone was very polite and pleasant, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are also available in each private bath and large public bath. There is also a place where children can play, such as a little athletic. The hot springs were really good, so I thought I'd like to go again.
UUalymaNot a luxury place as expected when we booked. Staff were very helpful and food was above our expectation (a lot to eat). Beddings were very comfortable. Room was a bit wear out. The best was the public onsen, one super big indoor and one outdoor on the second level. There was a water jet shower next to the onsen. Beware the private family onsen is not free. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
