Hotel Liberty Resort

This is a case of you pay for what you get, but for the same price, we stayed in much nicer hotels and guest houses in Tunisia throughout our trip. The positives; the hotel is affordable and in a decent location, within walking distance of the beach, the pool is also great and the food was good. The downsides; The hotel is very outdated and aged, the bedding cushions, bed spreads, napkins and table cloths were all stained and worn (the cotton bed sheets were fine however). Some of our bathroom towels were not washed and cleaned at all, our hand towel still had the previous guests make up wiped on it. The aircon in our room didn't work, so we had to sleep with the balcony sliding doors open, which made for a nosey nights sleep. The reception staff and some of the other staff were professional and friendly, but in the main, the waiters and kitchen staff treated you like they were doing you a favour, some didn't even bother to help when asked - like for a menu or a drink for example. Some of the attitudes I saw towards other guests, was very poor. When we paid for our dinner, our 35 Tunisian Denar meal, suddenly became 45, clearly the rest was going to be pocketed so we refused to pay the extra fee that came out of no where. To be brutally honest, that was the worst customer service we had experienced in a hotel to date. Overall the guests at the hotel we fine but there were some very drunk guests, literally falling over and stumbling everywhere, with one girl was so drunk, she didn't even realize her boob was hanging out of her bikini. We were so happy to get out of there when we checked out.. The worst hotel we had stayed in in Tunisia.

Reception. Arrived at the hotel and advised to go straight to restaurant as it was due to close and to book in after meal. Booking in was straightforward and not at all stressful. Shown to room without any delays. Unfortunately we’re not given any information about hotel meal times or anything else. Room. Clean and tidy and large enough for our needs. Large balcony. Bathroom had a shower over the bath. If you’re a short person may have trouble getting in and out. Only 2 sockets in room really do need more. Room cleaned on a daily basis. Satisfied. Restaurant. Food did vary only one soup available at mealtimes but plenty of salad. Food was more for the Eastern European guests. Brown bread was sometimes available but not always. Fruit and cakes plentiful. Good service and clean. Bar. Good service and good staff. Drinks were the very cheap variety and sometimes ran out of some drinks. The bar area unfortunately wasn’t kept very clean. Quite often the tables were dirty and sticky. Did mention it to the bar manager but very little improvement. Tea and snacks. Drink machines with paper/plastic cups. Morning snacks croissants, afternoon snacks cake. Bin for dirty cups was often dirty needed a good clean. Animation. Very good. Entertainment room for improvement. Pool area. Plenty of sun beds at all times and area kept clean. Beach. Nothing to write home about, worst beach we have seen in over 50 holidays in Tunisia. All in all a pleasant stay but could do better. Definitely not worth the 4 star rating more of a 3 star overall.

The hotel is very good clean and nice.All the staff is so apologies and funnily.We spend very happy and nice time.I will recommend to all my friends to come and visit the Liberty resort. Specially tanks to the entertainment young staff.Thank you Tunesia.👍

Location was good however may need taxis to get to near places such as sousse and monastir Rooms where amazing lovely and clean and room service was daily done an amazing job Value for money was mainly worth it however could have used more variety in food but we went out of season. Services where amazing especially the animation team… they made the holiday amazing they had alot of activities through the day and gave us a good laugh especially Zidane, Jambo and Ali they where amazing!! The hotel was lovely and clean would recommend to stay there.

My first visit toTunisia, had no complaints at all. The first time I've traveled alone and didnt want to come back home. Food, rooms, staff, pool everything was good. Bus stops directly opposite hotel 25p fare to Monastir 13Km away. I'm hoping to return this August.
