My recent stay at Delphin Habib Hotel was disappointing and, at times, alarmingly unsafe. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room with a bathtub visibly damaged with burn marks, as though someone had repeatedly stubbed out cigarettes on it. After I showed a photo of the issue to the receptionist, they quickly apologized and reassigned me to a different room. However, this set the tone for a stay filled with ongoing issues that were, at best, frustrating and, at worst, genuinely hazardous. The hotel itself felt very run-down. Out of the four elevators, only one was functional, leading to long wait times and crowded journeys. When I attempted to use the stairs, I was met with further issues. During the second week, thunderstorms led to extensive leaks throughout the hotel. Water dripped through the roof in multiple areas, including the restaurant, where loose plaster nearly fell on me while I was filling my drink. The staircases were leaking from the 5th floor down to the ground floor, creating large puddles at the bottom. Despite the safety hazard, nothing was done to address this, making an already difficult situation with one elevator even more troubling. The maintenance and hygiene standards were also poor. In the restaurant, the glasses were consistently dirty and seemed never to be cleaned properly, adding to an overall lack of cleanliness. Furthermore, flies constantly hovered around the food, making the dining experience unpleasant and unhygienic. The guest rooms were extremely outdated, and most of the advertised amenities were either unavailable or not up to standard. The pool water was murky and had a slimy residue on the bottom, while the indoor pool wasn’t even filled. Only two of the five outdoor waterslides were open, and I later discovered that the remaining three were closed due to visible cracks and signs of poor maintenance. Adding to the list of unmet expectations, the snack bar was closed, and the air conditioning, despite being advertised, was turned off for the season. The lack of care for both guest safety and comfort was undeniable. In summary, Delphin Habib Hotel failed to meet even basic hospitality standards. The ongoing water leaks, unsafe facilities, poor hygiene, and outdated amenities made this a regrettable holiday choice. I would strongly advise against this hotel for anyone seeking a safe, clean, and enjoyable stay.
