The pictures were a bit misleading and it's situated inside a private condo. Walking distance to Dianchi.

The stay was beyond our expectations and we fully enjoyed our stay. Everything worked well and host was very friendly to us! Will come again if there's chance

We are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.) Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

Very convenient location, just near Dianchi. Situated among some landed houses. Also got complimentary afternoon tea set. Pretty nice coffee.

The hotel environment is really nice and quiet. There is a back garden, a book bar and coffee. The service is warm and thoughtful. They also helped to upgrade the room to have a balcony and gave two breakfasts. It is cost-effective and worth recommending!

The room is OK, with plenty of sunlight. It is located in the villa area and is a homestay decorated by the owner himself. The environment and sanitation are good, but the surrounding villas are dry and primitive. It is very convenient to watch seagulls at Shanghai Dam. It is pet-friendly and the owner is enthusiastic. Friends who drive themselves should pay attention to the frequent traffic jams and traffic control on the viewing road at the door.

It might be a little hard to find the first time you go there, but you will get it once you go there. The location is great, suitable for people like me who like to relax. Across the residential area is Dianchi Lake. It happened to be the seagull season. Love it 😍. It was a little funny this time. It happened to be the Kunming Marathon, just outside our accommodation.

The environment is very good, right next to the dam. It is very convenient for walking or strolling. Maybe it was the off-season when we came, and the sanitation and maintenance of the room was worrying. The carpet was dirty, and there was body hair on the towels provided (it is strongly recommended to bring disposable towels when staying in any hotel). Of course, the service is good, but don't expect anything for breakfast. It is recommended to get up early and go out to eat some local specialties.

The boss lady has a very bad service attitude. Don't eat at her place. We arrived at 8:10 pm. When we ordered, the boss lady said we had to wait for half an hour. The dishes were not served until 9:30. And after we urged her again and again, the boss lady said there were too many customers. She looked impatient and didn't even say hello when we left. If you can't handle so many customers, don't be so enthusiastic in receiving them. If you want to make money, you should have the attitude of making money.

The boss is very gentle and enthusiastic, and the room is very clean. It is only a short walk from the community, and there are Dianchi Lake Park and Yunnan Nationalities Village, which are very convenient.
