If you are visiting one of the nearby universities, then this is an excellent location. But to get to other places in Kunming, we walked 1.7 km to the subway at the train station. If we had been able to figure out all if the apps and authorizations to use the zillions of electric motorbikes, that would make the trip to the station a snap, but we couple not. As far as the hotel - our room was spotless, new, nice ... just EXCELLENT, especially for the price. We also see many many more similar looking hotels in this area, but these are not on the Trip app, so not sure of prices or quality. The lady managing this hotel is very helpful. One issue was the WiFi .. was experiencing some problems during our stay. Anyway, overall quite good - we extended our stay because we were satisfied 👍

It's definitely an ideal place to stay if you're catching a train from Kunmimgnan Station. Lots of eateries nearby. The room was clean and spacious. Worth the money.

The service was good, and I highly recommend it for family. Close to the Kunming South Railway station. Around you will get plenty of restaurants to eat.
