The staff members are really friendly and very helpful! My family wanted to take photos with the receiving host at the door who always insisted on opening doors for them and packing their luggage.

The front desk service is proactive, warm and thoughtful. The room is clean and tidy (the only drawback is that the toilet is still old-fashioned and not a smart toilet). The hotel is located next to the subway and is very convenient to various attractions. The breakfast is quite rich and has everything you need. When you check out on the same day, you will also get a small gift, which is quite thoughtful. I will choose this place next time.

booked this hotel last minute as the previous hotel was not up to standard. 欣怡 was amazing. what a thoughtful staff. novotel ought to promote her. she kindly showed us the way to the convenient store and introduced a lot of nice places for us to visit and to have our meals. you can tell that she’s not the pretentious type but someone that puts her heart and soul into what she does/enjoys. // this is one of the best novotel hotel i’ve stayed. room is SO clean. they even have kids bedroom slippers and toothbrush. everything was thoughtfully planned out. nice shower system as well. they have dyson too haha

Very very good stay in this really beautiful hotel! Every corners are so pretty, the staff are amazing, especially 吕许一，周金丽，龙小丽，helpful and friendly with professionalism! Food is yummy, comes with breakfast, high tea and even supper! Free laundry, best is with free upgrade during low seasons! Will definitely come again to this wonderful hotel!

Love everything about Mengjing Xiyue Hotel .The room was incredibly cozy & clean. There was even phone cables provided in the room. All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. There were several
choices of breakfast to select from. Healthy night sweet soups were served and delivered to room from 8pm onwards. Hotel also gave a little gift when we checked out. It was not easy to locate the hotel initially as it is somewhat hidden but once you know its location, the hotel is really convenient. There are shopping malls & food street nearby. Look forward to returning in the future.

Room was clean and tidy. Not too big, but still comfortable to stay in. There are 2 sides to the room, 1 bed nearer to the first part of the room near the lobby door (Aircon ventilation does not blow towards this direction) and 2 beds nearer to the bathroom side of the room. The room's windows were later discovered to be strangely left ajar when we started detecting stench of cigarette smoke coming in from these windows. Potential guests,do take note to check for any ajar windows when you check into the room and close them promptly if you cannot withstand cig smoke like us. The stench stayed around at the side of the room with no aircon vent. Hotel staff, pls also do remember to close the windows after servicing / cleaning the rooms.

The staff are very accommodating. Our flight at 1:00am but check in was at 14:00 and we were very late. The staff were really friendly and efficient with the checking in process. The 2 receptionist spoke English. The room is spacious with great amenities and Dyson hair dryer. Water and rose moon cakes were provided on upon our welcome. The AC is great, the shower water pressure is amazing. The bed is comfy and the pillows are to great. The breakfast is good and the best part is that it’s open from 7:30am -12midday. I couldn’t believe it myself! The food is good with a range of rice porridge, fresh fruit, noodles, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, youtiao (dough stick bread), vegetables, cereal and a range of desserts. They have a selection of coffee, tea and juices. There’s also a self service laundry area and open roof top area with a pool.

GGuest UserWe booked two rooms for our birthday month family trip. First of all, the location is great. My purpose is to get glasses + transit. It has a corridor to Hang Lung, and the goal of getting glasses is achieved. It is near Dongfeng Square and Tangzi Lane. It is very suitable for going to the high-speed rail station 🚄 or the airport ✈. The hotel staff will give directions. I thought this was a normal service, but when I arrived in Zhangjiajie, no one gave me directions, even told me how to locate. I found it precious. I came to give a good review today. Thank you for the unknown brother who helped with the luggage and directions (sorry, I didn’t see the name clearly). I had a good first impression of the store because he took the initiative to help with the luggage and brought my bag upstairs when I ate, so I didn’t have to carry the bag. Good review. It is indeed the basic service that a hotel should have, but after Guangzhou 🌰 and a hotel with a name starting with w in Chongqing did not help me with my luggage, I realized that this service should be available, but it depends on fate (I will not stay again if I don’t help with my luggage)
Ctrip called to book a restaurant and said that they would help me transfer to the buffet restaurant, but they hung up halfway. When I arrived at the site, I found that my seat was not reserved, but I finally got a seat 💺. I got all the food delivered by the buffet. I am also confused as to why some people in the comment area did not get it. I don’t know if the seafood is delicious 🤷. The grilled lamb kebabs, pudding, and ice cream I ate were ok. Unfortunately, I didn’t have room for soufflé (I am not picky about food). I was very satisfied with the roast duck slices in the Chinese restaurant. I can eat pure meat. There were few people and few dishes. I can only say that the hygiene is good (I was troubled by this point when I went to Zhangjiajie for dinner. There were bugs in the heated candlesticks. I have never seen such a thing). The restaurant does not charge for paper towels. I used to think that they were all the same (I have visited 10 or 20 cities and have never encountered a place that charges). The paper towels are in beautiful boxes or hung on the wall. It was not until I went to a restaurant in Zhangjiajie that I found out that paper towels are charged (blame me for my lack of knowledge). It was common before, but now I have to give a good review. And I did not get sick after eating hotel meals, and there was no spicy food (I got sick after eating three pots in one meal).
I chose this brand for the first time. In addition to the geographical location, another reason was that the sesame flowers and the lobby mentioned by netizens were really beautiful (more beautiful than the Brass Hotel in Beijing). The sesame flowers bloom higher and higher, which has a good meaning. I accidentally saw that the decoration on the washbasin was an animal climbing up. Does it mean climbing up? There are water and trees at the door. I personally think that if there is no water and trees at the door, I will get sick😷 so the reason for choosing +1
I like open space (I will get sick in cramped space😷 in Beijing, my brain is exhausted🧠, I plan to travel on a budget, I stayed in a 20 square meter store in Tiantongyuan and fell ill, and later changed to a 100+ store in Wangfujing before my health improved. I don’t want to experience a budget travel), the design of the sliding door is very clever, dividing the space, and the two colors of the wall are easy to identify. The slippers are neither good nor bad, and the bathrobe is neither good nor bad, just the normal level (the slippers of Juneyao Airlines are thicker). The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all brands that I would buy, which makes me like them (I will die on the spot if I see L'Occitane again, I don’t like L'Occitane, so I try to choose chain stores, but some places don’t have them, I’m angry). I also like drinking water. GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

GGuest UserLocation was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me.
Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it.
The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. Would come back to this Hostel again if I happen to have to come back to Kunming again where I needed to be near this train station to catch at train there.

- cheap and convenient postcards for sale in the lobby to send home or have for a keep sake
- rooms have sufficient amenities
- food and drink option variety and affordability
- excellent location near cuihu (pretty lake district with good food options nearby) and the kunming laojie (old street)
- some basic things like water and convient noodles are sold at fair prices at the front desk
- information about tours and travel available in the lobby
- elevator available to access most rooms, though some stairs will be necessary in the lobby
Cons:
- some of the weekly events didn't seem to occur at all
- cleanliness wasn't perfect: some areas of the cafe have lots of flies and some parts of the room, such as the bathroom, had a bit of grime
- peanuts on a caesar salad? no! (I'm allergic to peanuts and didn't think to ask if they put peanuts on a caesar salad because it just isn't normally done)
- the prepaid breakfast options are too limited. some additional options for what toppings could go in the noodles or what fruit or jam you receive with the western breakfast would help a lot
- quality of some food items are just so so
- occaisionally a little noisy in the rooms (but that's just because a group of kids stayed nearby + it's a hostel so it's almost to be expected)

SSUMINWe are from Lijiang and are going back to Thailand. Stop over at Khun Ming for 1 night, choose a hotel near the walking street, surrounded by shopping areas. GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street and Cuihu Park, which is very convenient for my travel. The boss's service attitude is also very good, kind and gentle to others. Great! The bed is also very comfortable to sleep on, and the decoration style is also the type I like. There is a North Railway Station next to it, and there are three subways, which is convenient to go anywhere. I will come to this hotel next time.
