Second hôtel of our road trip in central Switzerland. We booked the Swiss-chalet on the hotel website with very good deal and pre-paid our overnight stay, with the objective to spend a night in a typical Swiss timber chalet. We drove in the village and easily found the huge parking in front of the hotel. The reception is in Schloss hotel on the other side of the street. We were presented with the surprise of an upgrade in the 4* hotel instead of the chalet 1*. With a small deception of not experiencing the Swiss chalet type of building we accepted the upgrade, it is not every day. 😉 The Schloss hotel is decorated with medieval weapons, and have a direct access to the lake. Our extra large room offered a view to the lake, a entrance hall, a large salon space with armchair and table and a small balcony. Mid October is unfortunately not the best time to enjoy this nice balcony oriented to the lake and to the south. The bed is extra large and very comfortable, with 2 duvet covers. The bathroom have obviously been renovated a few years ago and look pristine. The minibar beverage are free, and we have 2beers, 2 soda and 2 bottles of water, it is not a cheap attention. All amenities you can expect from an hotel of this level. The only specific you’ll have to adapt, is that you need to dress yourself up to go for breakfast in the Swiss Chalet 100m away. Not a big deal for us since the weather was good, it could have been more inconvenient if it would have rained or snowed heavily, so you know. I’d guess there should be some kind of room service for breakfast, but I did not check. Overall a lovely experience. 🙏🏼

Very friendly and professional staff. The bedding is good quality and the rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the sauna, which would benefit from access to the lake and the garden. ………………………………………………………………..

What's better than staying in a peaceful hotel away from all the noisy traffic! The Swiss Chalet hotel offers us the opportunity to be in peace and quiet on the banks of the Lake of the Four Cantons while being only a few minutes from Lucerne. We already knew that we were going to have a pleasant time when we arrived in front of the sign and saw the magnificent garden opening onto the lake. We actually took refuge on the deckchairs several times. The room we had had a fantastic view of Lake Lucerne and the unique mountains of central Switzerland; well equipped with hot tub for absolute comfort! Swiss cuisine was on offer at the Swiss-Chalet restaurant; Their very elaborate dishes are made with fresh and, if possible, regional products. A sabering vault of the Brotherhood of the Golden Saber and a participatory enterprise of “ächt SCHWYZ”. The wine list was awarded the Swiss Wine List Award. Impressive as is the Brunch which was voted the most popular brunch in Switzerland by the gastronomic magazine Falstaff; Upstairs in the Swiss-Chalet restaurant there is a vast buffet with cold, hot and sweet dishes. Special dishes are prepared directly in front of the customer! In the basement of the castle hotel, you will find a wellness area with a sauna, a very nice “adventure” shower with these colorful lights but above all we advise you to enjoy an Ayurvedic massage which is one of the most ancient healing systems based on the laws of nature. The Ayurvedic oils used had a profound effect on our body and mind! We are grateful to the entire hotel team and hope to be able to share another stay with them again.

The hotel is located in a relatively quiet location, close to a train station and not far from Lucerne. It's set back a bit from the road, which probably makes the environment quieter. Several services and infrastructures are offered, including access to the lake, but we did not take advantage of them due to the weather. This hotel is not called "Schloss" for nothing, the decoration matches very well and the architecture is interesting. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The hotel is apparently linked to the one across the road: Swiss Chalet, where we have breakfast. I had originally booked a room there, and was assigned a room in the Schloss Hotel. Marketing strategy or room occupancy optimization, I don't know, but the free upgrade was much appreciated ;) The room is spacious and bright, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is very new. The only downside is that the sound insulation from the corridor is a little weak. Otherwise it's great, I highly recommend!

We spent one night in the castle hotel. The room was very nice and clean. It was nice that we had a view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the Swiss Chalet. The staff there were also very friendly. The food was very good and I was recommended an excellent wine to go with the meal. The breakfast buffet was also good and, in my opinion, offered enough choice. We also really liked that the products were regional.
