Beautiful hotel near Luzern. Private beach to the lake is gorgeous with an amazing panoramic view.

The location is very good, very close to the lake. The check-in front desk will assign people to different levels of rooms according to your reservation. The cabin we booked has a shared bathroom and toilet on the same floor. If you register as a single person, you must find out whether you will be given a single bed less than one meter wide, regardless of whether your reservation information indicates a double bed or twin beds. It may be because of the high cost of land in the wealthy area. There is a bar downstairs in the cabin. You can't eat there without reservation. There are many luxury cars around for vacation.

The cabin is too ordinary. The castle hotel by the lake is good. The price of a hotel is different, but you must choose the expensive castle room by the lake.

It is a very old wooden building, very beautiful and large, and quite popular. It's just that transportation and eating are not convenient. If you take a taxi, you can only ask the front desk to help make an appointment, which is very expensive. It was snowing when we arrived, it was quite beautiful.

There is a sauna on the first basement floor of the hotel, but it seems that there is no distinction between men and women, so I am very confused. Free coffee, tea and hot water are available on the second floor of the building next to the hotel. You can drink coffee by the lake.

Beautiful location with lake view behind the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to local restaurants. Standalone AC in room. The drawbacks (for American tourists) were no ice bucket for drinks (ice available in small quantities at front desk), TV channels only in German, and the bathtub/shower was dangerous for older people with high step entry/exit with no handrail.

Funky and fun hotel. Friendly staff and excellent sauna. Really nice mini-park on the lake for relaxing. Short hike up the hill to the S3 train for a quick ride into town. I would definitely stay again especially since it’s cheaper than staying in Lucerne.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful environment. I got much more than I expected. I will come back with my family. I really loved this place.

The experience I had was a very good one in the 3 days I stayed here. From the reception I was gifted with an upgrade of the room. Although I booked a room without own bathroom, the new Viking room given was exaclty what I needed after my full business days: quiet, clean & cozy room, excellent sheets, nice bathroom with cool cleaning package, excellent view. The breakfast was really good and diverse. Oh and very closed to the train station.

I stayed at the Swiss Chalet Merlischachen on a friend’s recommendation as I wanted to avoid a touristy location and experience a typical Swiss hotel. This was exactly what I wanted, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a great lawn facing the lake and was very active in the evening. The room was a very small one and had no attached toilets, but was ok for a one-night stay.

One of the most beautiful and queit places i ever seen in my life, a couple of minutes drive from luzern city you will arrive to a place that is like heaven, the view is unbelieveble the staff is realy nice and always helpful and the rooms are very clean. also the breakfast is very good. averall 10/10

Guys, yesterday, we had a night stop near Lucerne at Schloss Hotel and shared our lunch at Swiss Chalet restaurant with the whole family. Kids were happy with their “monstruous hamburgers“ with French fries. My wife and I started with the curry soup with prawns and went on with the “Rösti & Leberli“, a typical recette. We had a walk after that, to see those nearby very old Swiss Chalets and enjoyed a quiet night, just over the lake shore. A unexpected nice experience and all in all, a very affordable package indeed.

The hotel was very unique, clean and nice with reasonable price. excellent breakfast and free coffee during the day. warm and nice staff, they upgraded us without even asking for it. a place which i will return.

Fantastic room, perfect food, nice reception. We were given a very friendly welcome, got the most beautiful room with a shower and bath with whirlpool and had excellent food. I can recommend Swiss Chalet with a clear conscience.
