Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Ekimae - Photo Gallery

Enjoyed the racing of laundry machines daily while I was there, there are always many people waiting to use it. Anyway, generally a very cosy hotel. The rooms are not big, but not as small as Tokyo’s same price point. Breakfast menu doesn’t change, except for their Kyoto dessert of the day. Maybe they do change their menu, but at least not that I know of, I was there for a total of 5 days P.s: There’s a clam ramen stall just beside the hotel that’s always queueing. Pls don’t queue, it’s really not fantastic. If the queue is less than 5 people, that means it will probable be 30-40mins, you can give it a try. Otherwise, don’t bother. It’s not worth it.

Not far to the station. Staff are friendly. Nice room. Impressed by the welcome drink by the hotel. There is a popular ramen shop just beside the hotel, great taste.

The hotel is located near the Kyoto Station. The room size is larger than many hotels in Japan. The hotel provide free dessert and drinks after lunch hour, some snacks with beer or wine after 6pm. The breakfast is delicious and had lots of choice. During my stay, the hotel provide materials for making a tatami coaster. It is worth to stay in this hotel. I will choose this again when I come back to Kyoto.

This was the perfect place for the business trip to Kyoto. Rooms were super clean. Staffs were very kind. And HAPPY HOURS were just amazing that I could taste Japanese desert (ice creams) and Japanese Sake for free.

The best hotel I've been to has great freebies and activities (bracelet making, free face masks, free alcohol during social hour, a free green tea parfait during afternoon tea). It is close to the station, a 10-minute walk. There is also an amazing ramen restaurant and yakitori restaurants nearby.

We like how the check in was done through an automated system which was easy to use. A staff is nearby to help if help is ever needed. The hotel also offer amenities in the lobby for guests to self-help which even include facial products like make-up remover and masks. The hotel room was clean and beds were comfortable. The pillows provided are of 2 intensities - hard and soft so that guests can choose to use whichever work for them. Sufficient space in the hotel room. The service staff are always smiling and pleasant to talk to. When I called the front desk to check if I could borrow their travel adaptor and I offered to go down to collect from them. The front desk helped to deliver it up to my room in less than 5min. I really appreciate their effort. All in all, this hotel is very efficient and we enjoyed our stay.

Location of hotel is about 5-10 mins walk from Kyoto station/ bus terminal. Though far away from the main shopping/ food area. But one can easily get to various Kyoto attractions via bus. Hotel offers free tea break and evening aperitif which is a nice touch though I didn’t get to enjoy it so can’t comment too much.

Room is good for Japan standard. More spacious for 2 pax with coffee table and chairs. 3 pax room is a squueze & left little room for us to open all the luggages. Bathroom is excellent separate bath & restroom. I thought the room cleaning is only 2x a week but glad that it's done daily. Note they give you the amenities during the check in but it's a lot! They even gave nice moisturising face mask. A nice indoor garden running through the lobby and restaurant makes for calm oasis. Amazing breakfast where they even served sake & sochu with selection of cute tea tins. I am surprised at how wide the selection is with sushi, sashimi, western, japanese and even stew/ cooked food. I dont know how they can manage to squeeze so much for breakfast :) Better to book the room inclusive of breakfast otherwise you have to pay Yen 2700 onsite. In anycase still worth the price compared to SG. They serve great afternoon tea Japanese dessert platter (free of charge) and night alcohol drinks too. Reminder to be there on time or 30mins before close of service. It is not very near to the Kyoto station but good 5 mins walk. Not many taxi drivier know the area so recommended to take the hotel namecard to show. There are other hotels opposite or near to station but this hotel won my heart with it's earnest service and additional touches. This is among the mid range hotels of my trip but the value they gave is much more in comparison. Beside the hotel there are several excellent restaurants & izakayas. I had excellent dinner at Quatro italian bistro for amazing al dente pasta and I was surprised to learn there's a great rated sushi Tomisen behind the hotel. Must reserve in advance. For families can walk 15mins to Aquarium for great afternoon. My daugther lost her mobile phone on long distance bus from Takayama to Kyoto. The reception helped to call and arrangement with the bus station to retrieve and sending via Ta-q-Bin. I am just amazed at the honesty, service with pride culture and excellent Japan system!! Kudos to the people and lovely Kyoto.
